Great deal at Cheap Tickets!

They're running a deal through 2/15/15 for Universal Orlando hotels. Arrivals before June 30th can get an additional 18% off their base price, and since that price roughly equals the SMSM price, it can be a nice chunk of change. I saved $278 on our June trip! So excited - more money to add to our food/souvenir budget! :dogdance:

if you stay 7 nights or more, you get 35% of a discount off the rooms with SMSM, a general public code.

Stumbled across this deal (SWEETDEAL code) at Mousesavers a couple of days ago and booked 5 nights at the Royal Pacific. Cost=$960 (total!) So excited!! :cool1:

One quick note about cheaptickets.com - if you put in more than two people, it tries to charge you $25 each for the extras. So, when I first booked with all four of us (me + wife and kids), it was showing $50 more. According to Mousesavers, it's a glitch and you just need to book for two and then, when you get there, let them know that you have two kids as well and it won't be a problem since kids are not extra and then that way you make sure to get the Express passes for everyone.

True but since the Cheap Tickets base was the same as the SMSM, I ended up with an even cheaper price than just booking the SMSM on the Universal site. I'm going to wait to buy tickets to see what the AP rate is when they release them.

LOL - I thought I recognized your username! I saw your post on the UOR Lines app and saved $ - thanks for the tip!

If you go through Ebates to Cheaptickets, you can get money back. I received $40 back from Ebates for my stay booked for 5 nights mid to end of April at PBH. I booked with Cheaptickets with a 25% off code a few mo the ago. I keep checking the APH rate but Cheaptickets is still cheaper.

For those who are Loews You First members, you may want to inquire if the stay will be qualifying towards your status & if any perks will be applied.

I have booked thru their sister site, Orbitz, for WDW and never had an issue.

If you're looking for bargains on a deluxe hotel, the AAA website also has great deals through late June at RPR. Most states (via the website, not agents) have rates at RPR from $162 to $198 per night, including taxes.

I am trying this (cheaptickets - 2 people as opposed to the 4 we really are), for the Royal Palms, 4/5 to 4/8. Putting me in a king room, with no choice for 2 queens. What happens if we get there, tell them we are 4, and are no 2 queen rooms are available?

You might want to check with Marriott directly - the advice above pertains to the onsite Loews resorts, so who knows if the Royal Palms does anything differently.

Sorry - huge typo on my part, I should have said Royal PACIFIC. In the end I would up booking Cabana Bay. I read up on my problem a bit more, and since the 2 queens were not an option, there is a very strong potential I would be out of luck once I got there.

Cheaptickets extended their discount thru September as of this morning. Discount is 18% instead of the 20% they've been offering recently, but I booked anyway. I can cancel and rebook if I can get a 25% sometime. For me the 2% less, was only a difference of $18. Saved over $160 by booking thru cheaptickets instead of direct. Don't forget to only include the adults when booking, add your kids later.

I was just coming to post the same thing. Someone was kind enough to post a 25% off offer a couple of months ago which is how I got mine. Hope some of you are able to use it!

Thanks kevdad. Just rebooked with the 25% code and cancelled my prior reservation. Such a great price!!

Wow--thank you so much!! I booked HRH for much less than my previous RPR reservation (which I will go cancel now). Perfect--it'll be really hot while we're there, so being as close as possible is an appreciated luxury. :)
