I'm just speculating, but I would guess that means that they have pushed back the start date of the BCV refurbishment.

Sorry, couldn't resist since you gave me that earworm.

This isn't BC/YC related at all, but I had to post how excited I am. Just for the heck of it, I threw the dates of our August trip into Kayak and up popped non-stop round-trip fares on JetBlue from BWI to MCO for $177 each. I've not flown JetBlue, but I've heard good things about it. I paid about $50 more for the six round-trip tickets than I did for the three tickets I bought on Southwest for August.

JetBlue is the best. They are the only airline we will fly out of Boston. Direct flights, TV's at every seat and wonderful flight attendants. Many, many times we could get cheaper, direct flights out of Boston on Delta but we always choose to pay a little more and fly with JetBlue. So worth it.

The villas usually have a pack and play in the closet, but not the resort rooms.

Thank you Wood Nymph for correcting my TA's information. We always stay at the BC and I couldn't remember ever seeing a Pack-n-play in my closet. So glad I checked!

I just read on a thread in the DVC forum that a lot of availability for rooms at the BCV has opened up in August. If you are looking to book a trip in that timeframe, you may want to check that out!

We just closed on a DVC contract and had just changed our YC cash stay to a VWL stay on points when we saw the availability pop up on the DVC member site. Needless to say we immediately switched to our home resort of BCV! So if you could change our Be our Guest list from YC Aug 15-23 to BCV Aug 15-21. We are then switching to VWL unless our waitlist for the last two nights comes through. Thanks

I LOVE JetBlue!!! Free snacks and no luggage fees and we get the funniest and friendliest flight attendants. The pilot even let my DS sit in the cockpit Congrats

Glad to hear you like JetBlue. This summer is our first time flying with them out of Reagan. I couldn't pass up the price though $95 one way. We paid a little less than $800 for a family of four to fly. I haven't had flights that cheap in a long time.

When do they normally release the activity calendars for the next month? I'm in that 20 day period where there's not really anything to do, so I'm looking forward to looking at the July activity calendar for something new to look at Am I pathetic? Ha!

Thanks for the info. One other question I have is that the wife does not drink coffee and with the tea set up in the room I assume there is a mini kettle and a selection of teas ? Could not see much from the photo's.
Just wondering is it worth bringing some teas with us.

Others have answered this for you but I'll add a little. I'm a bit of a tea snob so travel with my own loose leaf tea and a tea ball since I can't stand tea dust that is in bags. I use the coffee pot to get hot water and make my tea that way. The water is not the "proper" temp. but I'll be honest and admit I use my Keurig at home. The Florida water does have a little bit of a taste to it, even when heated so your tea might taste a little off, again I'm just too lazy to use bottle water so I go for it. The Twinnings shop in UK in Epcot has a pretty decent selection and they even have loose tea if that is your thing.

By the way, can you add me to the BOG list YC 9/29 - 10/3. That is subject to change if Disney comes out with AP discounts in Oct/Nov for later in F&W.

As an update to the construction noise, we checked in yesterday and beach club was great about meeting requests for a high floor since they are on floor 2 of renovations, I thought going high would solve the problem. Problem is even tho we are on 4th floor the noise travels right up thru the thin walls and vents if they are below you, and they must be below us cuz it's loud. The walls vibrate n saws constant.
Good news is it's 930 and it just started. Seems to be 9, 9:30 until 5.
Hotel is still great and if u are in a wing where they are not working, u won't know it's happening. Renovated rooms are fantastic, better than expected!!

Wow...I didn't know that you could change your home resort on the DVC contract...when we looked into a couple years ago, they didn't say anything about that, so I thought once you bought in, whatever Resort they were selling would be your HOME, but of course you could book into any of them once the availability window opened for Non-Home DVC members....we might have to look again!!

I'm usually too cheap for the snacks, too. They'll be happy about that one. And I didn't have to pay the "let me sit with my kids" penalty. Bonus!

I don't seem to have much luck with the low-cost carriers sticking around. Of course, that's flying out of Harrisburg. We had Airtran for a while, which was fine. They left and we got Frontier. Also fine. The only non-stop carrier from Harrisburg is Allegiant, about which I've only heard bad things. And they only fly to Sanford.

My kids were so spoiled by JetBlue, we usually drive but on our short trips we fly (which my DH HATES). We have done Frontier as well, but these newly added nickel-and-dime fee...no thank you

Of course thanks to my many changes.... we are BC CL 8/13-8/20 & HRH CL 8/20-24 (I did almost book CR CL 8/18-20 but hubs said no)

We are doing Yellowstone this summer...

I love Yellowstone. It makes all my daily toils seem insignificant compared to things like yellowstone falls emptying into the yellowstone grand canyon and all the geysers as a result of standing in the world's largest caldera. It snowed on us in July at Lake Yellowstone Lodge. I would love to go spend two weeks there and really get off the beaten path. Enjoy.

Wow...I didn't know that you could change your home resort on the DVC contract...when we looked into a couple years ago, they didn't say anything about that, so I thought once you bought in, whatever Resort they were selling would be your HOME, but of course you could book into any of them once the availability window opened for Non-Home DVC members....we might have to look again!!

We didn't change our home resort, we just changed our reservation. BCV is our home resort, but didn't have any availability for our dates when we booked VWL in the morning. A few hours later we looked on the member site again and BCV availability popped up so we switched our reservation.
