Have you ever been evacuated from a ride?

My DH and I experienced a first at WDW -- we got evacuated from a ride. We were on Splash Mountain when a traffic jam became longer and longer. Finally the music and animatronics turned off and we were told a CM would be out to assist us. They had to manually open the lap bars and we all went out back stage where we got a FP. No clue what the issue was.

We got removed from space mountain. There was apparently someone wondering around inside the attraction so it stopped and all the lights came on and they sent someone to retrieve us, we were right at the top of the biggest drop. It was actually a super cool little behind the scenes look.

That does sound neat!

We were assisted off people mover last August. Just as the ride came to a stop a lightening storm had started while we were waiting for assistance. Everyone received a fast pass which was awesome.

Didn't get removed but ToT broke down when we were in the hallway section a little after they open the door and just before the drop. They had to turn on the lights and told us we would have to do the drop since it was the only way to get off. It actually was pretty cool, there were probably only 8 people in the car, we sat there for about 15 min. then did the drop. They told us we could get right back on if we wanted, strangely only DS and myself decided to do it, they walked us right down to the loading doors and back on we went. Best ride ever.

Radiator Springs Racers at DCA. We were JUST about to take off ( had already passed the seatbelt inspection) and it stopped. Of course we were the LAST ones to get off the ride even though we were the closest to the boarding area. It was our last ride of the day so we gave the Fast Passes that they had given us to a grateful family as we were exiting the park.

Haunted Mansion- it was great! Got to get walked thru the mansion by flashlight with the CM begging us to please not touch anything.

We were evacuated off of Winnie the Pooh. Our honey pot was stuck in the doorway, so a CM had to jump start it and push it forward to be able to actually open the door. Then she put down a stool so we could climb out. It was weird to see everything lit up. There was electrical tape visible and scuffed paint. The lights certainly changed the look of the ride. Our CM stopped at each honey pot and unloaded more guests. It was like a little parade of guests marching by the end. We also received anytime FPs for our inconvenience.

This exact same thing happened to us during our recent trip. Any chance this happened to you on the night of August 25th?

Our log was stopped right at the end where Brear Rabbit is singing with the Bluebird. We ended up using our fast pass on the mine train that night.

I've also been evacuated from Test a Track years ago. We were on the outside track when the car came to a stop. A CM walked us backstage and back to the front of the live to ride again.

A few years ago we were evacuated off IASW at Disneyland. After we were stuck for a while they turned the music off, but they dolls kept moving. Believe it or not, the constant clacking off the dolls was worse than hearing the song over and over. We had to be evacuated through a backstage area and were given 2 any attraction FPs because we were stuck for over a half hour.

DH and I were evacuated from POTC a few years ago. We were stopped in a jam right before the jail scene and sat there for about 30 mins before they got to taking us off. We got a little backstage tour of the ride on the way out and had to walk around the back of the building to get back in the park, that was pretty interesting. We got two any attraction FPs.

We were evacuated from Ellen's. Nothing of great interest behind the scenes, but walking through the dinosaurs while they were still working was cool.

We've been evacuated a few times. Space Mountain (a couple of times) was the most interesting although the descent is a bit steep. Last year it was the People Mover and that took them over half an hour. Fortunately it was night and we were at a spot where we got to see the parade and some of the fireworks. The others I remember we're at Disneyland with the People Mover again (obviously a few years ago) and the Matterhorn.

My son and I had to be escorted off of Dinosaur a few years ago. The ride stopped and all of the sound went off but it was pitch dark. The announcement came on and said to remain seated and that the ride would restart. Everything came back on and we moved about ten feet and it all happened again. After doing that about four times, all of the lights came on and the announcement said that a cast member was coming to get us. He came with a small step ladder and the key to release the seat belts. We were walked out of the attraction right by the large Carnataur at the end. The cast member kept reminding people not to take any pictures. My wife was waiting in the gift shop wondering where we were. It took about thirty minutes. Cheers!!!!

RnRc. Right before the launch we sat for 5 minutes or so than all the lights cut on and the screen goes dark. We sat for another 20 minutes until finally they came by the ride vehicle and said the ride was being shut down and they would get us out of the restraints in a moment. Saw nothing interesting except the “chicken” exit which was new to me.

Evacs are awesome! We got evacuated off the Winnie The Pooh ride during the Marceline To MK tour. We all had headsets on and our guide was narrating to us during the whole process. They got the little stools out and and a poor CM took a tumble in the process. Everyone gasped but she was ok.

Many years ago, like before FP, we were evaded from POTC. The CMs had to push the boats to a spot where we could get off on dry land. I think we were stuck for about t 30 min. We walked right through the scenery and out a door backstage. The CM stepped on the crab. That's all I really remember as I was a kid.

We just got evacuated for our very first time in August. Winnie the Pooh. It makes for a great story!

We've been evacuated twice, but near the very ends of rides so we just walked right out. The first time was the Roger Rabbit ride at Disneyland. We were about to turn the corner to the unloading area when the ride stopped. We had to wait for a CM to release the safety bars and then we just walked a few steps until we were out. The second time was Toy Story Midway Mania at DCA. We had just left the screen where you get your final score and the ride stopped. We waited less than 10 minutes before we were released from the vehicles. We were sent through an exit door right next to where we stopped. We could hear people talking and laughing who were stuck farther inside the ride. They probably had a more interesting walk off than we did.
