The walking dead amc #2

I was chuckling at the scene when they were covering themselves and Sam walks in. It was like mom forgot about him when they were doing all that. I was thinking, if he hadn't walked in the room would he had been left behind eating his ant cookie?

I didn't see the preview they ran during Into The Badlands. I don't watch it and my recording didn't go into long enough.

I was also surprised about how much Carol was shaking in that scene with Morgan and the wolf. She's never like that.

All in all, I liked the episode. To me, sometimes the subtle cliff-hangers are more suspenseful then the big ones.

Not getting how some of you thought the episode was slow and not very good but thought the prologue was exciting; it really showed nothing that exciting.

Jason Alexander was on the Talking Dead and I agree with his assessment of Sam, he has to die. :rotfl2:

It was just slow. The tower collapsed, everybody hid and everybody had big discussions. It was just ho hum for me. I do think the season opener will be a doozy. I think they are setting up for a big show when it comes on again.

The biggest take I got out of the whole episode was that I got the distinct feeling that it will be Darryl on a date with Lucille, instead of Glenn! I just feel like that is where they are going with that angle.

That would be interesting, and a possibility since Darryl wasn't a comic character and the writers could mix it up. But there's been some foreshadowing of Glenn with a bat - when he was at Noah's house standing in the driveway, he was twirling a bat. He's killed a walker with a bat before. And I believe at Terminus, one of the men there just stopped short of killing Glenn with a bat. All of that has been chalked up to foreshadowing of Glenn's fate with Lucille, but certainly anything is possible!

I think that's a divide between pure TV viewers and comic book readers. DD and I were literally bouncing up and down in our seats through the preview because we have been DYING to see that character introduced in the show. Even more than we wanted to see The Governor.

As far as the rest... I agree it was anti-climactic for a mid-season finale and to me all the deep conversations as ASZ got overrun felt very contrived.

Morgan just pisses me off any more, with the not killing someone who openly says he's going to escape and kill more people, who doesn't see human life as having any value in the zom-poc world. And I was SO disappointed in Rosita and Tara for giving over their weapons to the Wolf. They have to know nothing good can come of that and that the Alexandrian (can't remember her name at the moment) is dead either way. At least if one of them had taken a shot at him she and they would have had some chance of survival.

Someone needs to smack Sam and shoot Ron. Seriously. But I do understand where Carl was coming from when he covered for Ron. Hopefully this time Ron will come around. Or get eaten by the walkers in the street. I really don't care either way.

Deanna and Michonne were the best part of the episode, IMO. I like the direction that is going, developing Michonne more fully as a person rather than just a katana-wielding bad@$$, and with some of the other characters from the comics that should be coming into the mix soon I think it is well timed.

I agree with Jason too! lol

OT: A friend of a friend on fb saw Norman Reedus at a Sheetz in Staunton, VA Thanksgiving day and took a selfie with him!! He was so close.. I am so jealous!

This is exactly what I was thinking! I was like "DONT DO IT! NOW HE HAS A GUN! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT????" Just stupidity. They could have taken him I think, and either way, that dr. is going to wish she was dead if he does not kill her.

No, just no....

First -- they should have put a pillow case over that kid's head knowing how freaked out he was anyway.

Second: Why in the world do they NOT cover themselves with walker guts most of the time when they are out and about???? And why hasn't Glenn thought of this since he's done it before?

And, my sister was in the Staunton, VA area on Thanksgiving. I just let her know she missed Norman, hahahaha.

Robert Kirkman was asked during last night's The Talking Dead why Rick and gang don't use the guts method more often and his response ...

""Well, look. One, it's not very practical. Coming in close contact with that material is also going to, you know, cause all kinds of illnesses aside from any kind of zombie-related nonsense. So you don't want to be doing that all the time," Kirkman said. "Two, it's not going to last. You would have to be replenishing those zombie guts because they will dry out and lose their nastiness. They won't smell. It's just not a practical way to go about things."

To me, the most annoying part of the episode was when Tara and Rosita gave the wolf the guns...Maybe this is me being naive about weapons since it seems to happen on TV a lot, but why didn't they just shoot him in the head? Bullets should be able to move faster than his hand on a knife, yes? They have good aim, just do it!

The first 5 minutes had me pacing like crazy with Maggie scrambling away (I was bouncing a cranky baby quite forcefully in my angst!). I loved the scene with Deanna hanging on the side of Judith's pack n play. And I felt a little sad that she didn't get to see Spencer before she died-all the family he has left!

I wasn't surprised or disappointed by how the episode went, because the finales have all been that way, at least recently-set up really dangerous situation(s) in kind of a slow way and then all hell breaks loose when they come back from the break.

I just saw Talking Dead last night, thanks to its new ridiculous time on live. Thought Deanna was hilarious. And yes, George is totally right about Sam. His tweet response was also funny!

Any chance you can share the picture? My sisters are freaking because they know exactly where that is. :-)

At least Deanna wasn't dead when she was hanging on Judith's pac n'play. That was the first thought that went through my mind.

As for the wolf, they need to just shoot him. It would have been quicker and easier than him taking the doc and walking out into a walker invasion. I mean he will feed her to the walkers to save his own skin. Hopefully this showed Morgan that not everyone can be reformed. Clearly he was not willing to be to begin with.

I'm not looking forward to the Saviors. I've read about what happens in the comics (with Lucille) and it isn't anything I'm looking forward to. Hopefully they continue to stray from them as I'm sure there would be plenty of revolting should Daryl's character be killed.

I was freaking too! I was at Sheetz twice on Thursday.. lol In Bedford, not Staunton, though!

Thank you!

I have a friend who lives in the area where they film and she said she has never EVER seen anyone, and she's out all the time. People will say, "Andrew Lincoln was at Kroger's today," hahaha.

And back to the topic at hand, I really think they will apply Lucille to Daryl, not Glenn. And it's going to change TV forever. :-)

You know what? JUST SHUT UP!! I'm tired of hearing this filthy language from you. Do you have no honor? No shame? :sad2:

Figured you all would appreciate this: I saw Chandler Riggs (Carl) last week at Disney Hollywood Studios in the Indiana Jones gift shop! I was just hanging around the area waiting for a dinner ADR at 50s Prime Time, and there he was! He seemed to be with a girlfriend.... I didn't ask for a pic or anything because I figured he was on vacation and deserved to be left alone, but it was still weird and unexpected that he was there!

OMG did you get a picture of him? I would have HAD to snap a few candid shots of him, but like you, I probably would not go ask for a posed shot with him. Did anyone yell "CAW ROL!" at him??!!!

I didn't... I was too close and it felt too weird! I wasn't even 100% sure it was really even him at first! but I found his Twitter the next day and he had posted a pic of himself at Osborne Lights!
