Ok I'm guessing that would be expensive to buy 8 of themThey sell Powerade but it might be individual bottles.

If I were you, knowing where you live, I would make inquiries about the availability of hotel rooms down at WDW after your "ressie" times out and also you might want to check with the airline about changing flights before all the unsold seats disappear.
Yep - we're flying into BWI. I'm definitely going to check at the front desk tomorrow. The good thing is we fly out later on Sunday, so if the storm ends Saturday, we have a bit of a shot at having things cleared. My vote is to rent a car and drive home if it comes to that. But we'll see. We were at the pool chatting with a family from near the Maryland border who are supposed to leave Saturday.lol PRECIOUS!

There are pretty much going to be travel delays and since you are traveling with your precious ones do you really want to risk the 9th circle of hell as you sleep on the soft and cushy MCO floor hoping for an opening on the plane?
Monday should be fine to fly, Tuesday for damn sure. The last time snow on this scale happened I remember people stating that it was 5 days before they could find a flight with open seats and some people had to resort to renting a car and driving back since the airline situation was so impossible. Right now there may be hope for Monday or Tuesday. The moment the airlines issue that travel advisory (and they will) all hope is lost. Jump on it and beat the UNWASHED MASSES to the punch. After all, what is a day or two extra, in the lap of Disney luxury, knowing that your travel plans are delayed but set.
Drink up sweetie, drink up....

You are flying into BWI correct? Hockey Mom, do you concur?
PS. Before flurries even started to fall, American Airlines announced it would cancel all of its Saturday flights and reduce the number of Friday evening flights at Philadelphia International Airport. http://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...-flights-cancel-phl-airport-snow.html?ana=fbk
I think that Ninja Mom has some good advice.
Here is the weather advisory from JetBlue, with a link to change flights:

I was once at the BC, when my return flight was delayed a day, due to WX back home. I spoke with someone in the back office at the BC, and they extended my reservation, at the originally booked room rate.
Hope that everything works out well. I imagine the kids won't mind an extra day down there!
And I think I have a good argument for my husband about taking our next big vacation in August. It's hot. But we won't have to dig our car out of a BWI lot.
Where can I find a list of prices for snacks, cereal, and bottled drinks sold at the Marketplace?
Just wanted to say to all of my friends in the path of this weekend's snowstorm, be safe, warm and may your pantries and fridges be stocked with all the bread, milk and eggs you need. It doesn't sound like it will hit my neck of the woods quite as much as it will south of us.
Is this it?https://disneyvacationclub.disney.g.../groceryorder/GroceryList_BeachClubVillas.pdfYou will just have to watch out for hurricanes in August. Hurricane Erica was supposed to hit Florida for our August trip. The governor had even declared a state of emergency and the airlines were threatening to cancel flights. We held firm and didn't make any changes. The hurricane never hit Florida and we had almost empty parks because so many people had cancelled their vacations.
DVC members can ask for a grocery list that includes the items and prices at all the gift shops connected to a DVC resort. I had one for last February. But I'm not a DVC member so I haven't been able to get a recent copy.

Yes, but that list is from 2010.

And this is why I love this thread!

I'd be sort of happy with an extra day or two. Although my coworkers might not be pleased. We're staying on rented points in a 2 BR villa. That price scares me a bit. But we'll see what happens. All we can do is watch as things develop.

View attachment 146764 We changed from a Blizzard "Watch" to Blizzard "Warning" earlier today. There is no bread, milk, eggs or TP left on the shelves in the Washington / Baltimore corridor! I have my wine and I am ready!
Good luck and be safe! I've been there and done that before except ours was only 22 inches.View attachment 146764 We changed from a Blizzard "Watch" to Blizzard "Warning" earlier today. It appears that there is suddenly very good room inventory at BC/YC this weekend, whereas there was more limited availability, when checking earlier, this week.
Winter Storm Jonas will be impacting WDW, as well, just not in the same way as it will, farther north.
Again, wishing everyone in the storm's path a safe and unevenful hunkering down. We will all be thinking of you.
Maybe if and when we get stuck here, we'll get a nice room at BC/YC. The downside to renting points, we have a 2 BR villa right now. I don't want to think about the daily rate for this sucker. The plan is to rent a car and drive at this point. It will be like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles meets Vacation. Minus the dead granny strapped to the roof of the car.
