I believe it's a Frozen night instead of Pirate night; however, we won't truly know until after the first AK cruise sails this spring.

Looking for fish extenders meet up group. is there one on DIS boards?
there isn't one on the DISBoards, but we have a group in Facebook that you are welcome to join...we have a few Fish Extender groups there.....great group!

there is a Frozen theme dinner one night, and a Pixar night as well. Someone on our FB group called DCL and confirmed that just a few days ago...

As to what to wear etc....there is both a Formal and a Semi Formal night on this 7 night cruise....
for day to day packing....definitely pack layers....temperatures can vary quite a bit.
As far as planning, my recommendation would be to research what excursions you might like to do at all the port of calls now (whether you book thru DCL or directly with the charter company)...I have a feeling they will fill up fast.

The July 30th show is 2 miles South of the Panny.... I recommend viewing from the "Burrard Bridge" where crowds are lighter. Bring a radio to listen to the music live.

Hi all! SUPER newbie here - our first time cruising ANYWHERE. I've just started planning and am completely overwhelmed :( We are traveling with our 2 boys - ages 10 and 14. Would love to connect with a family that has similar-aged children. If I am to understand what I've read - we do not make reservations for dinner, unless we'd like to do Palo one night, correct? Is there anything I should be taking care of now, well in advance of our cruise?

Welcome to the cruise! There is definitely a lot to know about ahead of time, but you can plan out the entire cruise or take it day by day while you're on the shift. For dinner you and your family will have a rotation which takes you through each dinning room, for the seven night you will eat in two of the dinning rooms twice and one of them three times. The first three nights are each dinning room's signature menus. Followed by themed nights, the captain's gala, and the see you real soon menus.

Palo is the only dinning experience which requires an additional reservation, I would strongly suggest that you and your other half do it at least one night.

As a first time cruiser with Disney you'll be able to make your reservations for Palo, spa services, and port adventures at 75 days out. This is also when you will be able to check-into the cruise, so have your passports and credit card handy.

I hope this helps!

Twinesses Mom, based on your name, I'm guessing you may have Twin Princesses joining you on the cruise? How old? Mine will be 15.5 at sailing. Still love Disney, but for different reasons than before. Although, some things never change and they act like little kids in the parks and on the cruises.

MichyMich, there seems to be a big group of kids in that age group for your boys. I think the kids clubs will be rockin'!

Planning to cruise on the Disney Wonder to Alaska from Vancouver on August 1, 2016. 7 Night Cruise. If you are as well, reply to this thread and we can all help each other out with questions, excursions, fish extenders, meet & greets, etc.
I would like to participate in the Fish Extender Exchange. Please let us know when you want our information! Thank you!

We're getting close!!! Just over 2 months to go! Any word on who is heading up the Fish Extenders on this voyage?
