Most Overrated things people rave about at WDW

What are some of the most overrated things to do at WDW for you guys.. Could be attractions shows retaurants etc
My top 5
1-Fantasmic(blah)
2-Dole Whip
3-Soarin(just ok in my opinion)
4-mickey ice cream bar
5-Carribbean Beach resort

I agree about Fantasmic and Mickey bars but I love me some Dole Whip and Soarin. I'll probably get flamed for this, but I don't get all the hype for the Grand Floridian. It's beautiful, no doubt, but I can't justify the price tag it comes with. I'd rather stay at the Poly or Wilderness Lodge if I went Deluxe. I never understood Vinylmations, either.

Wishes.

I know that I'm in the minority, and while I can appreciate the technical aspect of the fireworks, the music and song, and story of wishes is just too much and emotionally manipulative for my taste.

Definitely Dole Whip. I had it for the first time last year after seeing so many people rave about it.

It was decent, but it's overrated IMO.

3. Grand Floridian (don't get it, the poly is much better, IMO)
4. BWI (couldn't pay me to stay there)
5. Disney transportation--a lot of people seem to find it "convenient", but I much prefer bringing a car and driving wherever we need to go ourselves.

Illuminations. For some reason I just don't get it? I, on the other hand, love Fantasmic! I guess that's why there are so many different shows. You a re bound to find one you like!

Fantasmic (it was OK the first time, but not something I feel the need to keep doing over and over)
Dole Whip (the orange flavor was excellent; the pineapple is OK)
Grand Floridian (agree with previous posters; I like some of the restaurants there, but the hotel décor doesn't appeal so much to me)

Star Wars (ditto)
Fastpass+ (I preferred the original paper system)
Disney Springs (it's gotten too big for my taste; I liked the Pleasure Island nightclubs better)

Dole Whip--I just didn't care for it

Disney Springs--am I missing something here? Restaurants and stores are all it seems to offer. I don't get it.

Turkey Legs--I don't find knawing on a huge turkey leg to be appetizing. Yuck

Any of the specialty snacks. My in-laws specifically took time out of their only MK day to buy a Dole-whip. I'm like, "Okay, you have fun with that. We'll be on the opposite side of the park riding rides and visiting princesses with your only grandchild."

Fantasmic - saw it once and I don't need to see it again. People get the dining packages with FP for it lol I have no desire

Illuminations - I don't know why, but I feel like this is not the same as it once was. I watched it in November, and when it was over I was left saying "that was it?" and I have seen it before.

Dessert Parties - I will never understand this one. These are way overpriced.

Be Our Guest Lunch - WOW is this overrated. We went and it was terrible. But dinner is worth the hype, because it was wonderful! Thank goodness for dinner there!

I love the Grand Floridian because it is QUIET. With Chef Mickey's in the contemporary and O'hana at Polynesian, those lobbies are a zoo all the time. The GF is so peaceful.

Anyway, mickey bars are not that interesting, I love dole whip, Caribbean Beach sucked, Wishes is too crowded, and the dessert parties used to be fun until they expanded the attendance and now once again, like everything else, it's too crowded.

However I really loved Fantasmic and Wishes (Disney Dreams at DLP is better though, I actually shed a tear) and I'm obsessed with Dole Whip -> I have an air freshener in my car.

Agree with this, but would substitute Space Mountain for Soarin.

I could add so much more but that reply was easiest. I think people just get hyped up about their vacations so things end up being presented as way too amazing for what they are.

Wow, tough question! I love most things that get hyped by Disney fans (and most things that don't, to be honest). If I had to pick something, I'd say either Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom or the Main Street Electrical Parade. Bring back Spectromagic!

Edit to add: MSEP too. I generally like parades but I cannot stand this one.
