Naveen Ain't Playin: My Glitteriest, Princessiest TR Ever! (FINISHED 4/13)

Joining in! I'm preparing for our upcoming trip and reading all the reports lol. My brain is starting to think in TR language. "I was feeling a little hungry, but knew we would be eating tacos for dinner in a couple hours, so I just made some toast and had a glass of milk to go with it-- insert pic of toast and milk--"
I wish I was kidding but I just love TRs! And PTRs! And even though my husband will talk about it, we haven't told our kids we're going yet, so we can't talk about it in front of them! So.... I read.

Anyway, great report so far! Looking forward to reading more

I'm not sure... I think it was just the distance? Although there were a lot of cars on the road that night, so that definitely played a factor.

They also sell jewelry, cute little crystal figurines and probably a lot of stuff I can't name right now.

Yeah, but I mean... every time something goes off your "must do" list, something else can go right back on! The best part about Disney is that you never have to worry about going bored with one place because you'll always find an alternative!!!

I'm so curious about what happened with Lady Tremaine at 1900 PF, now!! I feel like I want to book a meal there to meet the sisters, but I can't ever commit to it.

I really need to remember to get Lady and the Tramp's autographs from Tony's. I meant to do it last time and completely forgot!

I'm curious to know what happened to her, too! Especially since they had Snow White on call so quickly? I definitely recommend snagging a 1900PF ADR ASAP because as of now, it looks like the only place you'll be able to meet Lady Tremaine on property

Lots of character meets today! Sorry Merida and Gaston weren't the best, but sounds like Mary Poppins made up for it!

Sounds like a very bizarre time at 1900 Park Fare. I wonder what happened to Lady Tremaine. Kinda random that they replaced her with Snow haha

The best part is, we're barely half-way done with the characters I met that day, and the next is DEFINITELY the best! Can't wait to tell you what happened!

It was a weird night. Every character meal has "off nights" and this was definitely one of them. I agree that it was random to put Snow in the mix, it feels like she would be a better suited substitute for breakfast at 1900PF.

Super impressed with all your character meets! You were on a mission! I have also been tempted by the tiaras, but I remind myself that I am a giant baby about the headaches tiaras/Minnie ears give me.

Duude, I'm a baby about Minnie ear headaches too!!! Tiaras are a little better for me because they don't "pinch" the side of my head like minnie ears do.

The Chapter You've All Been Waiting For

After dinner, I went back to my Kingdom. I had about two hours before my first FP+.

I caught the ending of the afternoon parade... vamos, vamos...

Then I made my way over to Liberty Square to meet Tiana and Naveen!

I get in line and about 10 minutes pass before the M&G starts. Then Naveen walks out... without Tiana?

I was all, "Naveen! Where's Tiana?"

And he was all, "There was an eemergency in the keetchen!!! Would you like to know what happened???? Louis spilled thee gumbo and Tiana had to help clean it up!!!"

So then I was all, "What? Naveen, are you kidding?"

And Naveen was SUPER offended and he goes "NO I am NOT KEEDING why would I be keeding?!?!?"

So then I was all, "You're right, sorry, I don't know why you would kid about this."

Then he looks me dead in the eyes with a straight face and goes, "I ain't playin'."

Literally I started laughing SO HARD and he was all "What?!?? What is funny????" Which only made me laugh harder and the whole thing was a mess.

Then we took this weird photo because he was leaning into me super hard and I almost fell over but we're good now.

Afterwards, I still had like an hour and a half before my M&Gs, so I explored Fantasyland a little bit.

Ultimately, I made the decision to meet Minnie and Daisy at Storybook Circus.

Sadly, I don't have photographs from the M&G I forgot to download them off of Memory Maker and didn't realize I didn't have pics on my phone!

The two were fun. Daisy read my fortune in the Crystal Ball and told me I would find true love, and Minnie showed me all of the tricks her poodles know!

By the time that was over, my first FP+ window had opened up, so I headed on over to meet Punzie and Cindy.

First up was Punzie.

I took my backpack off to put it down and she grabbed it from me! She was like, "Oh my gosh! I love your flowers!!!!"

"Sorry if I'm being awkward!" She blushed. "The whole, you know, 18 years locked in a tower thing made me kind of awkward."

"No, you're fine!" I assured her.

"We should cross out 'Vans: Off the wall' and write... what's your name?"

"Kaitlyn!"

"Right! We should cross out 'Vans' and write 'Kaitlyn and Rapunzel: Off the wall!"

She was SO. ADORABLE. I'm so happy I got to meet her!!! Literally she was such a sweetheart and so much fun!

Cinderella was... well, I'm not sure. I think we talked about Jac and Gus but I can't remember?

Sidenote: I literally hate myself for losing the notebook that had all the notes about what I did every day. Maybe I had a great experience with this Cindy! I just don't remember

For my next FP+, I just headed on over to the other side of the Fairytale Hall.

The Explanatory "Conclusion" Chapter

As some of you are well aware, this TR has been going on since August and at this point, I'm considering it a lost cause. I've been super busy with college work and so I'm making a very heartbreaking executive decision to put this TR out of it's misery

Basically, here's a quick run-down of everything that happened for the rest of the trip:

... My family has a fabulous time at the Wishes! dessert party
... I meet Phineas and Ferb and see The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast at Disney's Hollywood Studios and decide that DHS is one of my favorite parks after all
... Mom, Grace and I have a lovely tea time at the Grand Floridian Tea Room
... Grace and I have a great evening at the Magic Kingdom together, and a nice dinner at Chef Mickey's
... I have a very heartfelt last day at the Magic Kingdom including one very special meet and greet to top it all off
... We had a great breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe before we went home

Here's the last little story I'll leave you with:

It was towards sunset at the Magic Kingdom after an amazing dinner at Ohana's. I had just hopped off of Peter Pan's Flight, which was my very last ride of the trip. Grace and Mom announced that they were going back to the resort for one last swim, and I decided to hop in the 50 minutes line to meet Magician Mickey before Wishes. After all, what good would this trip be without a chat with Mickey Mouse to send it off?

I ended up waiting 90 minutes. My legs and feet where aching after the longest, best, most intense Disney vacation I've ever taken, and when I was finally at the end of the line, I was ready for a very brief and generic interaction with Mickey.

So I walk into the great Magician Mickey's dressing room and he asks me, "How was your day?"

I said, "It's been terrific, Mickey! Super magical and I'm so glad I could see you."

Then he asks, "What are you going to do after this?"

Sadly, I told him: "Mickey, I have to go home after this."

Mickey jumps back and covers his hand over his heart. "Oh, gosh! Then boy, am I glad you stopped by!"

I of course started crying in my exhausted state and Mickey and I went in for a big hug.

The Photopass girl was crying, the attendant was crying, we were all crying and I gave Mickey a big kiss on the nose.

We couldn't stop hugging until finally I went to get my magic band scanned for the photos. The Photopass woman who was a gem hugged me and said "I don't want you to go home princess!!". Then I walked back to Mickey for one last hug and we had to say the saying that always gets me: "See ya real soon".

I made the executive decision afterwards to not stay for Wishes. I was too tired and emotional and my legs hurt and it just would have made me even more sad than I already was. So I mustered up my remaining strength, went to the Emporium to buy a stuffed Mickey magnet, and then went back to the Wilderness Lodge after snapping one last look at the castle.

And that was the end of that.

In conclusion...

I have no words for this trip to Walt Disney World. I was so inspired and made so many wonderful memories. It was the trip where I truly felt "at home" and had the freedom to explore the parks all by myself for the majority of the time. I'm sorry to end this TR so abruptly and without proper "conclusion" sentiments, but I need to finish a paper soon and I have something else to tell you before we go:

Last Thursday, April 7th 2016, at 12:27 in the afternoon, I got the email I had been waiting for for 86 days. I was offered a position in Attractions for the Fall 2016 Walt Disney World College Program. I accepted the offer a few days ago. I am so honored to call myself a (future) Walt Disney World Cast Member. In a few months, I'm going to be embarking on a journey that's not always going to be pixie dust and dole whips. It's going to be a little scary, and I'm not always going to have fun, and I'm going to miss my family and my home terribly. But I also know in my heart that Walt Disney World is where I'm meant to be, and I know that working for Mickey Mouse has been my destiny for a while. My check-in date is August 8th, which, if you have followed along with the dates of this trip, will be one year from the last day I spent at the Magic Kingdom this past trip. The universe is very funny like that.

Disney has taught me to embrace my uniqueness and to always follow my dreams. I know that I'm going to love it. I am so, so, so happy to see you all again real soon.

Congrats on becoming DCP!! I was offered the DCP role back in college but I turned it down. I wish I would have taken it but like they say hindsight is 20/20. Enjoy your journey!!
