We are paying less than $12,000 for 4 people in 2 cat 5a cabins for the 6/29/2016 7 day Norwegian Fjords cruise. So, about $3,000 per person.

To the price you received, I would reply: "Norway, Jose!"

Ha ha.. Unfortunately I couldn't talk, on account of my jaw falling to the floor... ;).
I'm searching other lines now..MSC has a great Iceland itinerary but it's almost sold out in category's that I want. I'm also hoping that after reading other posts, a VGT may open up on the 6/28...if it sells the same as this year... It frightens me to book that though!

To be fair it is an 11 night instead of a 7 and a different itinerary to boot. For reference we booked the 7-Night in a 5A and are paying $6,500 (before I do the gift card shuffle) for the 2017 voyage. I'd love to have the extra $500 in my pocket that you'll have however.... ;)

We booked the July 9 British Isles cruise.

Cat: 11B Midship
2A: $2970/$2970 - $402 taxes and fees
OBB: Yes
Insurance/Transfers/Air: No

$6342 total (This was booked this morning as we are only Silver)

My jaw is bruised from hitting the floor the last two days.

I was expecting it to be @ $9k I was willing to go to obstructed view as well if would have made a significant price difference.

But to compare the one your talking about- 4 more nights = $6800? I think they're out of their minds!lol

Have a wonderful time on your cruise!!!! I'm not giving up on that itinerary yet...I have a little boy who keeps asking to go to Iceland. His first choice is Antarctica- I said no..but Iceland I can do.
I've been searching other lines all day. And maybe, just maybe Disney will end up offering a discounted rate later on.. One can hope, right?

That sound familar. My son is 13. Hes been asking to go to Iceland since he was 6. His second choice Antartica. I promised him Antartica when he graduates college. If we didnt get this discount we were planning do a land trip next May. Flights on iceland air are pretty resonable. I think some day we'll go back to Iceland and spend more time, but this is a good introduction.

Oh cool! Better you than me!!lol. Antartica will be wayyyyy down the line for us. I would want to spend a week in Brazil with it, and could not take that much time off at once.

For Iceland- my backup plan is RT flight on Iceland air.. Spend 5 days there..then RT to London from there and back..spending 7 days in UK. I've never been a huge cruise person bc I like my land time and getting to know the culture.. But at his age..and with me the only luggage carrier, I think a cruise would be the absolute best way to see multiple places with less stress on both of us. So, I'm hoping I won't have to use that back up plan!

My son and I are completely different as far as climate preference. I spent 17 years in Boca Raton, Fl.. We moved here (Cincinnati) when he was a baby. I let him have input on our destinations..he always wants icebergs and cold!!
Me- I'm all about the sun and sand.

Ship: Dream

# of adults and cost per cruiser -- 2A (1,768.50/1,768.50)
Insurance/transfers/air included? Trip Insurance(282.96)/Prepaid Gratuities(120.00)
Total Cost - 4,098.52
OBB - Yes
(I actually previously had this OBB booked for a blackout date this year but I actually came out better moving that to this cruise and then rebooking the other. I ended up paying $60~ more for my original cruise but saved about $450 on this one. It pays to have OBB's and to be flexible.)

--------
Ship: Fantasy
Date: 09/09/17 (Eastern Caribbean 7 night)
Cat # 4A (9602 Aft Deluxe Family Veranda)
# of adults and cost per cruiser -- 2A (Don't have the breakdown price yet but will add when I get it)
Insurance/transfers/air included? Trip Insurance/Prepaid Gratuities
Total Cost - 4,423.06
OBB - No

(Wishing I would have had another OBB to use for this one but I didn't. I find it very interesting that the 5 night on the Dream is almost as expensive as my 7 night on the Fantasy. Obviously the seasons matter, one is peak one isn't but had I not had the OBB to use for the 5 night on the Dream it would've been more than the 7 night on the fantasy.)

Why are the 11 nights so disproportionately priced compared to the 7? I don't understand. For me and my son on Norwegian Fjords/Iceland it was over $13k. I didn't book. 9-10k I'm ok with. but not 13!
