"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Great. Thanks much. For my info, in that section do people generally just sit on the grass, or stand, or ?. I'll be with 2 kids so hoping to find a way to reduce obstructions on their view.
We've found many sit down, but some still stand. My kids generally sit and still have a good view since you're looking up over the castle for the fireworks. This doesn't work as well for the projection shows.

Excellent info, thanks so much! Is it possible to see the parade and/or the stage shows from this location also? Was thinking stay in one place for Frozen at 815, parade at 8:30, stage show at 925, and fireworks at 10. Good or bad idea to do that here?
You cannot see the parade from here at all. You'd have an ok view of the stage show, but ideally would want to be closer to the castle to really be able to see the characters. The ideal spot for all 3 would be around the hub, on the castle side, but would need to grab that spot 60-90 minutes out, at minimum.

Have any of the parties this year sold out yet? I'm debating between Dec 11 & 13. Don't know if I can wait til closer to check the weather or if I need to decide & buy now. Thanks!!

Attended last night 11-13...

Looked like Sandy Claws and Dwarves came out at 7.

Nick and Judy out at 6:15. I lined up shortly after 5pm (5:10 maybe?) and met them around 6:40.

Also met Scrooge & Donald (hilarious meet!), Captain Jack Sparrow and Santa Goofy.

Will post more of a review later but wanted yo get character info out there for those who are asking.

P.S. Nick and Judy autograph card... I think you will have to wait in line to get one. I didn't received mine until I was in the front row of the line. (Maybe if you ask nicely though??

I thought they weren't doing the Projection show during the party? Also, would we be able to put down a blanket for my two kids and I to sit on in this area? This will be our first time at the party and first time attempting to watch Wishes from this area.

Ok I did it. I bought my ticket because I decided I would be disappointed if it was sold out!!!

Now. Any word on where rappunzel and Flynn meet?? I only have interest in meeting them and the dwarves and seeing the parade and perusing shops. Will I have enough time? Oh and cookies of course!!

For any of you looking to avoid the crowds but hoping for an incredible space to watch the parade, may I offer a suggestion. If you take Main Street all the way down until it starts to turn left into Liberty Square, you come upon the flagpole, I believe. If you can picture in your head walking and then bearing left heading into Liberty Square, on your immediate left there is an area marked with tape, and right beside it you have a cart. There's a triangular area there which can only accommodate about 12 to 15 people, and you benefit in having a wrought iron fence, railing at your back. You don't feel crowded in the slightest and your sight lines of the parade (they are extremely close and dance numbers all stopped right there) are incredible. True, you can't see most of the castle, but who cares?

I wasn't going to stake out a place for an hour and a half before the parade started just to be on Main Street. What I did notice was that after the parade started, a rope line was then strung across which limited access to the food cart to only those on your side of the street, and that some people still stood in front of the cart, but by no means was is crowded. Awesome spot for the parade and nothing was better than fireworks in Fantasy Land, with fireworks going off on all sides of you.

Sorry for any confusion - there is no projection show during the party. Was just speaking to the area in general (both for party and non-party nights).

And yes, you'd be fine to lay out a blanket. We've often spread out and sat on ponchos in this area.

Flynn and Rapunzel meet in Fairytale Hall. I'd suggest lining up for the dwarfs around 5 to be one of the first to meet them. Then proceed directly to PFH. You should be done with both meets around 7:30.

We have watched FOF from this exact spot, and I agree it's wonderful! I'm guessing there was no snow there, though?

Thanks for this info! What time did you line up for Scrooge and how was the wait?

Correct, no snow there but we had the "snow" experience for about 30 minutes walking up and down Main Street earlier in the evening.

Thank you!!!

Did you watch the first or second parade here? I'd pretty much resigned myself to the 2nd parade but may try this spot for the first if possible!

First parade. We hit this spot ONLY about 30 minutes from the parade start time. We had started to look around the hub area and main street but it was a mob scene. Once we hit this area things definitely opened up. What I did notice was that during the 2nd parade there was alot more space all over, including in the hub.

Thank you! We have always watched the 2nd from the end of Main Street, but I hate that by the time it gets there, the party is basically over. May try for the first this year :)

Excited to start planning for our first MVMCP!

Was curious about how long the princess and prince meets usually were? I know the meet with Cinderella/Prince Charming and Elena may be different this year since Elena has been added. Just didn't know if it was doable for us or would be too long of a wait. I think my kid (and parents :scared: ) would top out at 45min max.

Also, we are going Dec 22, last party. I haven't gotten tickets yet. I'm thinking being the last party it will sell out?

I've read that the princess / prince waits have been nearly an hour this year :scared: though it seems Cinderella / Elena may be slightly less. We lined up for Cindy / Rapunzel last year around 6:30 and were done by 7:15, so I'd definitely recommend hitting them early if they are a priority. Either that or during one of the parades. And yes, the last party will almost definitely sell out, so I'd buy your tickets now if you are sure you'll be going that night.

Several pages back there was a list of the treats being offered at the party. does anyone have that list?

What kind of food cart is it? Sounds like a nice spot to watch from!

Princess/Prince M&Gs seemed to stay around 1 hour at the party we attended Friday night. However, after watching the 2nd parade and then going to Tomorrowland for peppermint bark cookies and hot chocolate, we made it to PFH to meet Tiana/Naveen and Rapunzel/Flynn just before midnight. We had about a 20-25 minute wait. Since it was well after midnight when we got finished with them, we didn't attempt to get in line for Cinderella/Charming and Elena. (They probably wouldn't have let us go in at that point anyway.) But there was NO line for them when we were in line for the others.

For those princesses/princes meeting outside by the wall (Snow/No name, Aurora/Philip), I just stood outside the roped area, waited until they finished taking pictures with other people, and snapped a couple of pics before someone else jumped in. We just didn't have time to wait in that line.
