MK: night of Jan 11th
Epcot: has not been announced
DHS: night of Jan 5th
AK: night of Jan 6th

Additionally AK characters will return to their normal attire (no winter scarves and hats) on Jan 1st.

Disney Springs has not been announced but their Holiday at DS lasts until Jan 8th so I'm assuming it will go down shortly after that if not that same night
Edited to fix last day for DS holidays

We were there the 2nd week of January 2016 and there were still quite a few decorations up, toy soldiers in MK, tree at DHS, etc. Those dates might be when they start removing them but not when they are completely gone.

I thought the dates posted were early as well, but the first thing that will go down are the trees

Do you have info about the hotels, specifically GF and WL? We didn't make it out to see them before Christmas. Hoping to go on New Years or the day after.

no info on the resorts but the decorations will be up for sure until Jan 2nd. Too much guest traffic to have time to take things down

The resorts will still be decorated on Jan. 2.

I believe the parks blog said the drone show and tree trail would be up until Jan. 8th.

I'm surprised that DHS and AK would be taking theirs down that early. Usually everything stays up through marathon Sunday.

You are right, I'll change the first post to avoid confusion. I was also surprised at how early they are taking them down

I'm fascinated by this...it takes them a few days to get everything down? When I was in college (1998), my family went to Disney on January 3. The parks were all still decorated for Christmas. A few days later, they weren't. We talked for the rest of the trip about the Disney magic of getting it all down overnight. That morning we walked into MK and the only trace of Christmas left was a random piece of tinsel or two on the ground. I'm sure it was a huge undertaking - I wonder when they stopped doing that? (or, perhaps, when they started decorating the parks SO much that it takes longer to get it all down?)

They CAN take "everything" down overnight (in one, or two, or a few specific locations.)

But, what they CAN'T do is take everything down overnight everyWHERE at WDW on one night.

Thanks! We arrive on the 3rd and were hoping to see some of the decorations still in place :)

Will be arriving in Disney on the 11th at noon time. Now will the decor still be there for the day or will it be removed at 1/11/17 at 0001? Would love to see it even if for one night.
