Grey walls are really popular now

I went to select some paint colors for a few rooms in our house and the sales person pushed hard on the grey for my dining room. I got it home and no way - it doesn't go with the style of our house at all. I think you need a newer house, with black, white and maybe one pop of color. We have exposed wood in a lot of our house and I don't think it goes well with brown exposed wood.

I went with Benjamin Moore Sail Cloth.

Anyone paint their walls gray?

My bedroom is grey. I consider it a neutral and I think it goes with pretty much everything. My furniture is dark brown wood, my curtains are an off white cream, and my bedding is off white with grey, green and light gold in it.
When I first painted it I hated it but when I got my furniture and bedding and stuff in there I thought it looked great.

It sounds like it would look good with those colors.

We our in new construction (been in the house just at two years) and over Christmas we had a good portion of our main living areas pained a Sherwin Williams color called Serious Grey. We have tall ceiling and wide white baseboards and crown molding and I think it looks great! It really makes the trim pop and look good with our dark wood floors.

Grey is really a trend now, but I like it for a change from several years ago were things seemed more sage greens and yellows.

I love grey. It comes in so many different shades, and nearly all of them can be a neutral for any decorating style or color scheme.
Five years ago we painted a guest room Sherwood Williams light French grey. It looks outstanding. And the guest bath was painted a more taupe/grey from the Martha Stewart collection at Home Depot.
I just had the general house, meaning all connected rooms and hallways, stairwell upper halls painted Sherwin Williams Sea Salt.
Looks amazing. Depending on the light time of day the color sort of evolves. Looks like a Pottery Barn cover! Which is my style.

I almost selected Serious Grey! A good friend of mine is building a home presently, and that is the color she selected for her main living as well it is a really good grey.

We selected a greige color for our basement walls - Sherwin Williams Alpaca. I love it and think it is a good neutral that will go well with anything.

It is a trendy designer color. We needed to repaint a room in one rental we have (walls were pretty beat up) and they asked for a light grey shade. We were happy to accommodate because it was "neutral" enough for our needs. Not sure if it's a color *I* would want, as most of my furniture is in the beige family. Kind of clashes with grey.

We have grey too with oakwood floors and a lot of wooden furniture, goes very well together.
You just have to find a grey with the right basecolor. We have Farrow&Ball Conforth White ( it's not white but grey)

I've been fighting the beige trend for 20+ years since we went with grey carpet on our entire first floor. Maybe I'll have an easier time buying furniture again. ;)

I like it because in certain light, it pulls a little blue. It is a rich color, in my opinion. We also used a bit of Sherwin Williams High Tea in other rooms too, and they flow well together.

We just painted our front hall (upper and lower) and family room Sea Salt. The kitchen is Comfort Gray, the next color down on the color strip. The rooms, like yours, are all connected and they look fantastic together. LOVE Sea Salt and the subtle changes during the day.

We do not have gray walls, but if you watch any of the renovation shows on HGTV gray is hot with them.

My wife is ready to throw something at the TV when Flip or Flop is on and Christina El Moussa comes on because she loves painting things a "warm gray" as she puts it.

We are 4 years post top to bottom remodel and none of the 4 design bids we got included any gray paint, or subway tile, both of which are very popular on the HGTV shows. My wife's goal was to dump all tile and go with solid surfaces everywhere, which we did. My only comment is, it is a whole lot easier to clean than tile.

Our kitchen is greige (grey/beige) honestly not our first choice but the previous owners put in two tone wood cabinets (blonde wood and honey oakish) and a black counter top with flecks of different colors. Greige was the best color to coordinate with all that.
We did use Feather Grey by Benjamin Moore in our bedroom at our last house. I loved it and wanted to use it again in this bedroom but DH wanted blue so we compromised - I got some wall paper in the livingroom.

Yep, Gray and Teal are in.

We are selling this house and it is a neutral color tan, which is not as appealing as seeing a house for sale with the grey colors in pictures.

Our bedroom is Sherwin Willians "Perfect Greige" and that's as close to grey as I've gotten. I do consider it a neutral, but I consider it a cool tone neutral, and we have mostly tans and browns on our walls which are warmer tones. So I just tried to keep it consistent.

We repainted all the of open areas downstairs and the hallway upstairs gray last year. It's not a light gray but closer to a medium with a touch of taupe. It's looks dark and cozy in the evening but light during the day. I love it. Our trim is white but we have darker wood floors. It blends so well with everything.

We painted the master bedroom and bath gray with a hint of green. In certain light it looks like sage with a gray undertone.

I prefer warm colors in my living space, so the only room that is grey is our tiny master bath, and there is very little visible wall space in there.
