Booked this for 9/25! I am going to cancel my reservation for the Hallowishes dessert party on 9/23 since they dropped the preferred parade viewing, this seems a much better value since it includes the ride and alcohol. Now if I can just find something special for a 25th anniversary gift(nothing too extravagant as this trip is the main gift) this seems like a perfect place and time to present it to DW. Very excited about this event and it has greatly diminished my disappointment about Hallowishes. Now if only they would announce something like the Villain Soiree .....

If they bring back Club Villain I would do that!

Not sure what the big issue is with providing some chairs, especially for the money people are shelling out?
It's not a big issue for Disney to provide seating, they're doing it, but a portion of the $79 is to pay for the chairs.
Anyone have any speculations on if this will sell out and if so, how soon?
This party is smaller than the SW dessert party which takes place every night and does usually sell out. Plus it will take place on only select nights. My guess is that it will sell out or come very close to selling out for at least the first few months.
does anyone think it's at all likely that they will add more nights for the party?
The number of days for the dessert parties change as the demand changes.

I don't see this offered on 9/25? :confused3

The one time I signed up for the Illuminations dessert party, I had no idea there would be no chairs. Although the $30 price hike seems extreme, I do feel like I would have enjoy drinks and dessert for an hour way more had I been sitting down. But I just remember thinking "Uggggh, why am I standing here right now?" and didn't really get my "money's worth".

But the view was great and totally worth the price. I think I could definitely see myself clear on $30 more for a seat for my favorite fireworks show ... even without the FEA ride.

I forget~~ Do they have these parties during the week between Christmas and New Years?

Do you think it's just going to be one ride on FEA or perhaps more within an allotted time frame?

I suspect just one ride. Either via a paper FP voucher handed out at the party or one electronically loaded to your MDE.

Description says guests will be escorted to the ride after illuminations, so after the park closes. I take that to mean fast pass can't be loaded and a CM will give special access to the ride in some way.

As stated, I believe that "some way" will be with a paper voucher or a FP loaded to your MDE. "Any Attraction" type FP can be loaded for a specified period of time so I don't find it too odd to think those could be added for a one hour time period after the park closes to each MDE if Disney chose to go that route. I'm betting on the paper voucher though. This would prevent the CMs from having to "heard cats" over from the viewing area to the ride and give guests an opportunity to use the restrooms before handing in their voucher or scanning their bands at the ride. Just my opinion.

Why is this not being offered at all during my trip? oct 6-13? Very strange! I was ready to book but that week is greyed out!

I am using the logical conclusion that if Disney limits guests from being able to load fast passes during EMH when a park is still being operated, then certainly guest would be unable to receive fast passes for when the park is closed; and having been to Star Wars Dessert Party where guests are escorted to the viewing area, I'm visioning a similar exclusive escort to the ride. Also, just my opinion.

They had them every day except one, last Dec.

Don't know, but my best guess is one ride.

Wow, good reponses, but it's actually pretty straight forward. Assuming that it's handled the same as countless other, what is called "mix-in" connected to a private event, guests are escorted to the attraction, they do the ride, and then it's hasta la vista, baby, you're on your own, now go home.

I just booked this for the event's final night 10/30. I was originally planning on ISDP and then was thinking about the HEA dessert party during our trip but the menu here looks more interesting. More savory options and Magaritas and since we're staying at BWV this will very close for us. Besides, I can save those 2 T1 FP for something else.

That's how the scores of private dessert parties that take place every month are handled. And just like the SW dessert party, they'll be an Event Guide, could be me, leading the group to FEA, and an Event Guide at the rear and everyone will head out at the same time. Unless they depart from the normal routine, more than likely that's how this event will be handled. But anything is possible.

Yeah, I get that. As Boardwalk Villas owners, part of the appeal of the Epcot dessert party specifically is the leisurely stroll back "home". We like to just pop in to DHS and Epcot for the dessert parties. We've usually done something else earlier in the day, rested, then dressed up slightly for evening events.

Yes, that's why I chose this. Nice leisurely stroll to the BWV.
