Happy Father's Day to all the Cub Fans out there!
Happy Father's Day, Cubs dads!
I just saw the news story on the largest game of catch at Willow Creek! Told my DH you mentioned Ricketts speaking there. Very cool Dan. Great interview, thanks for sharing! Looked like a lot of fun on the News and congrats on setting a record!Thank you.
Here is a link to a very insightful interview with Tom Ricketts today at DadFest at our church this morning. It was a great interview. About 17 minutes long.

Amazing video! I don't see a timestamp on the video, was your dad a scout? This hits so close to home I have goosebumps~ remove current technology and you have an inside window to my Dad's world for a few of his years. At -6:20. ~my Dad preached that from dawn to dusk. I really wish this had been ready to include in the World Series DVD set. So next time you walk into beautiful Wrigley, turn on your TV or Pat and Ron...go to a AA or AAA game~ remember this video. When I get asked about my outlook on this team, why don't I get mad etc., it's because I always look at the whole player, scenario, the whole time.

yeah, for the Phillies for a few after he started the Oak Lawn Major's Semi Pro (and we were Champion's ) League but as he aged and life dealt us a few challenges had to move on . No, he isn't part of this video but it captured very accurately the "feel" of a scout, at least at our house.Amazing video! I don't see a timestamp on the video, was your dad a scout?

well...so the Padre's are calling LOUDLY for Rizzo to be suspended for that home plate slide. I have re-watched about 30 times. Was it his best choice, nope, a swimming slide he may have even been safe, but he didn't go that route. As far as I can tell from the written legal description since the rules have changed, once the catcher has the ball contact is fair game~ but I understand S.D. frustration. I give it 3 pitches before Rizzo gets drilled hard in the ribs tomorrow. Rizzo not a dirty player, and that was one heck of a throw by Szczur. My guess is the usual $25k fine is a def possibility, and Padre's will go for 3 game suspension but given Rizzo's spotless history, I doubt it. Even Utley' s suspension was overturned. Player retaliation however, is gonna happen.
tonight's PADRE'S PAY BACK lineup(credit to Kewz)
WILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY player of the game tonight! Way to celebrate the one year anniversary homer with the tying homer!!!!!!Rocket pick off of Matty (sorry Sz) ~ Javy , GREAT read/lead and Javy high five in the crowd go ahead run on that clutch dbl by AAJ! Rizzo, first a 42mph bunt , then you become a freight train! What a throw by Matty to get Riz, tho~ Schwarb's x-ray good news from foul off his foot. The game of old Cubs playing current Cubs ends Well for us. Game #1 of the Padre Pay Back complete
AAAAANNNNDDDDDD BREWERS LOST!We're above .500 and 1.5 games out!
also...Clayton pitched lie CRAP as a Cub, had like, 1 pitch . Where was THAT guy?
