They Let Anyone In these Clubs Now! An Aug. 2017 PTR * TR link! 8/17!*

Yay for good news!!!
I was very relieved to be able to tell Steve lol! And really surprised I didn't have to beg :o

and I really hope Chris wears his "special" button. :rotfl:
Lmao so do I. If he decides to put it on I'm not going to acknowledge it at all; I'll just go about my business and sneak a picture or two of it when he's not paying attention because if I comment on it or ask to take a picture of him wearing it, it'll come right off!

Glad you liked them! I am bad at keeping surprises so glad I could at least keep the coasters a secret :thumbsup2
I was actually surprised to get BOTH the shirts, I only expected one

Congrats on getting the refund for your MNSSHP tickets :thumbsup2
Thanks! I was dreading making the call to ask because I seriously didn't expect them to give me the refund.

Wow I love your shirts and coasters. Whitney is very talented and thoughtful :goodvibes
She most certainly is both :thumbsup2

I love the pins you ordered and yes you should have worn one when picking Ricky up :rotfl:
What I SHOULD have done was wear ALL of them at once now that I think about it :rotfl2:

Happy 4th
Same to you, hope you and your family enjoyed the day :goodvibes

But my favourite is definitely...
...This one! That's hilarious. Knowing the little I know about Chris, I'd bet he'll end up wearing it. Just thinking about the times he decided to wear your mouse ears... haha
 That's what I'm thinking, as long as nobody bothers him about it or continuously asks him to put it on! And then if we notice he's wearing it we must NOT look directly at it.............

WOW, these are awesome!! Amazingly cool of @Whit64130 to make them! :lovestruc
It certainly was!!

Hello! Late joiner here! Also going in August, but will be there before you :) LOVE the squad goals shirt! Too cute!
:welcome: Very glad to have you!! I noticed your PTR earlier today, I'll go over and check it out :car:

What exactly didn't you like about it?

Ugh…I shouldn't have said anything because I know people like it, and I'm sure it's gong to be awesome once all the construction is done. But here are some of the things I didn't like about it:

~For me, I didn't like the sheer SIZE of the place. We were in a preferred room in Martinique and it was STILL a long walk to the food court to refill our mugs.

~I HATE the bus situation where you have to go around to many stops within the resort before you even make your way to where you really want to go.

~I hate hotels with doors leading right to the outside, and yet, when I stay at POP that doesn't bother me as much because it's pretty much a motel anyway. I think the mods try to pass themselves off as something that they aren't and I think that bothers me. They are basically a slightly nicer version of a value and personally, just not worth the extra money.

~The room itself seems very similar to the value rooms. I think they may be a little bigger, but basically set up the exact same and for me personally, not worth any extra money.

So that about sums it up. We all have our likes and dislikes and I would NEVER click on a post just to bash CBR because I know many people like it. But my personal preference would be to never stay there again. If I can't stay deluxe or DVC, I would choose to stay at POP because I feel like it's basically the same thing for less money. In fact, I just booked it for a night next April at the beginning of out BLT trip :-)

That makes sense. We typically don't do the dining plan and aren't huge soda drinkers, so that won't be a huge issue for us. You're not the first one to comment on the sheer size and I'm not sure whether that will end up being a pro or a con...time will tell.

~I HATE the bus situation where you have to go around to many stops within the resort before you even make your way to where you really want to go.

I completely understand and that will likely be an issue for me. Our home resort is SS and I know a lot of people don't like SS, but we do...except for that aspect of the buses. We'll be flying in (we normally drive) and I've been debating about getting a rental car or taking magical express. That might make up my mind for me.

~I hate hotels with doors leading right to the outside, and yet, when I stay at POP that doesn't bother me as much because it's pretty much a motel anyway. I hadn't thought of that. As I said, this is our first time at a non-DVC resort and I'd already come to terms with it's just a hotel room with Disney decorations and transportation. It the rooms are indeed the same size, then you make a very good point...why would they be worth more money?

So that about sums it up. We all have our likes and dislikes and I would NEVER click on a post just to bash CBR because I know many people like it. Thank you so much for your input...I'm not upset at all..I really wanted to know so if there are other factors I hadn't considered, I was at least aware of them vs. being taken unaware. As I mentioned, our home resort is SS and I know a lot of folks don't like it, but we do. I think possibly due to our Disney stay style...we do one day at parks and then one day at resort relaxing/recovering. We found out our first year, if we try to go gangbusters and do a park every day we all (and I mean all) end up cranky. SS seems to be more relaxed which is what we want in the down days. We stayed at the treehouses in 2015 and it was even more relaxing although the boat transportation was much more spotty. As you said, we all have our likes and dislikes and that's what I think makes Disney unique...it has something for everyone.

I'm finally caught up after my long long trip! I love that you're trying POP - that is, until you change it again. ;) Though you're running out of time at this point. And no judgment from me about holding two ADRs, as this is something I may or may not have been guilty of a time or two. :rolleyes1

I love all your stuff - purse, buttons, shirts, and gorgeous coasters! You are a nicer mom than me. I totally would have shown up wearing the button lol. And add me to the "spirited" child club. Alexander's an up and comer...

Ugh…I shouldn't have said anything because I know people like it, and I'm sure it's gong to be awesome once all the construction is done. But here are some of the things I didn't like about it:
I'm glad you said something! Any of us who have stayed at a few resorts have those we like and we don't, and I'm sure most of us have at least one we won't stay at again. We had that incredibly heinous experience at BWV back in 2015 after 3 great stays there, and it's really turned me off the resort, even though in that case it was more staff that sucked and not the resort. But I"m still soured on the whole place, however I don't bash it. I DO tell people to run the other way if the check in and see a manager named Stacy though lol!

For me, I didn't like the sheer SIZE of the place. We were in a preferred room in Martinique and it was STILL a long walk to the food court to refill our mugs.
Yeah, the room we ended up in on that fateful BWV trip felt like we were actually staying in HS. Which would have been cool if we WERE staying in HS, but since we weren't and had to walk to the lobby to get to the buses, and food, and to get drinks, the walk was a negative. Now at CSR which is also big I think we lucked out with our location or we probably would feel the way about that resort that you do about CBR.

As you said, we all have our likes and dislikes and that's what I think makes Disney unique...it has something for everyone.
Exactly, the beauty of all the Disney resorts :goodvibes We stayed a few nights at SSR back in 2011 and had no issues with it. While we haven't been back it's not ruled out as somewhere we'd stay in the future.

I'm finally caught up after my long long trip!
Welcome back! Your trip looked AWESOME, I really hope you're doing a TR on it!

I love that you're trying POP - that is, until you change it again. ;) Though you're running out of time at this point.
Lol I think we're staying put. We're right at 30 days - or maybe 29? And I haven't even thought about what I'm packing so I need to not make any changes!

And add me to the "spirited" child club. Alexander's an up and comer...
Welcome to the club :scared:

I love those coasters!
So do I! I'm showing everyone who comes in my house lol

I saw your post over the weekend on FB.......about the stuffed animals :rotfl2:I know I know, not funny. Neither of my boys did that but my oldest stepson did something similar when he was 4 or 5!
He is going to be the death of me, I tell you! He wore diapers all day today. I just can't with this kid. AJ trained himself! Before he turned 3. NO WORK FOR ME! He might be my favorite right now...lol. ;)

I meant to do this over the weekend and forgot :guilty: I want to try messaging her again tonight and see if there's still enough time to get them for the trip.
Good luck!

It the rooms are indeed the same size, then you make a very good point...why would they be worth more money?
They definitely are bigger...but maybe not by much. I looked it up one time, to compare between value and mod. CBR has the biggest rooms of the mods because it was first. I've stayed there a couple times. My mod preference is POR but we used to be mod people and they were all similar. I've done values too but it was ASMu and ASMo and I definitely did not like those. I'd try Pop for sure though. Our last 3 trips were SSR, SSR and BRV at WL. SSR is very nice and my mom liked that we could pull right up to the buildings. My DH and I prefer BRV and we are in the process of buying our first DVC contract there.

Good luck with CBR!

Welcome back! Your trip looked AWESOME, I really hope you're doing a TR on it!
I second this!!

Happy End Of Weekend! I've been trying to get this update done since mid-week which seems to be the theme of my Dis time lately. Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday 5 days ago! We didn't do much, took the kids to a movie which was hysterical but highly inappropriate for Chris but that's how we roll. We saw "The House" with Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, see it if you have you chance!

I'm going out of order and some of you saw this on FB, but last Sunday the 2nd we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday:

IMG_6366.JPG

That's my mommy!! Then today 2 of my girlfriends and I went to a winery about 30 minutes away in New Paltz for a Sangria Festival :drinking1Need I say more??

On to park plans. There really isn't anything to "plan" for our arrival night since it'll be about 10pm when we get to the resort. I know we'll be hungry so we'll drop our bags in our room and go to the food court, or go to the food court with our bags first. The next morning will be a bright and early start at

IMG_1905.JPG

Bear with my pictures, I'm trying to use old pictures of mine that don't have to be made smaller lol.

Since we won't be Club Level yet, I think we'll skip getting breakfast at the resort and grab something on Main St. from Starbucks. This will be all of our first time seeing the opening show since Steve and I haven't managed to see it on our last 2 adults trips and it started after our family trip last Nov. I'm not overly excited to see it and I know the boys won't be either, but if we're there in time I'll watch just to say I've seen it. We have FP's for:
BTMRR 9:40
Splash 10:40
7DMT (to keep Steve happy!) 11:40

I'm not a big daily planner as in planning what we'll do minute by minute, usually other than FP's I only know which ride(s) we'll go to at park opening. So today I know we'll still go right to Frontierland to try getting a ride or two on both Big Thunder and Splash before our FP times, and maybe over to Adventureland since it's close. The other thing I know is that at some point, whether with or without a FP, we'll have to take a trip through the HM because we all love it except Ricky, who tolerates it. I still find it hysterical that he'll ride every coaster in Disney and every other theme park we go to, but finds HM freaky.

One of my favorite pictures from our Nov. 2015 trip:

IMG_2127 (1).JPG

My biggest ?? for this day is lunch. I have two reservations: the Plaza at 11:05 and LTT at 12:15. I know Steve would prefer LTT and we both loved our lunch there back in March, but there's something on the Plaza menu I REALLY want to try:

Fried-Green-Tomato-Sandwich_Plaza-Restaurant_16-19-700x465.jpg

Fried Green Tomato sandwich, mmmmmmm:worship: However I don't know that we want to eat at 11 and I haven't been able to get a later time. There's always the walk-up option though. LTT is 12:15 and Steve would prefer that, but we also have a TS dinner at 5:30 and those might be too close together. I know two TS in a day is a lot for some but we aren't huge on QS and with the heat, we'll be happy to sit inside twice but I'm still torn: early fried green tomatoes, or later patriotic lunch with possibly still being full by dinner?

On to afternoon....................................

Our 7DMT FP will either be before or after lunch depending on what we decide to do, and we may or may not get a 4th for right then. My guess is this will be our first afternoon break. It'll be at POP so no chillin' in the club, but the boys may choose to swim. I won't be able to handle too long a break so if we're back to the room by 1-1:30 I'll want to be on our way to dinner by probably 4-4:30, which will give us plenty of time to get there and maybe even look in some shops. Where are we going? Here's a guess:

IMG_5992.JPG

Still not sure? I'm hoping to embarrass the boys a bit with the character interaction here at 5:30:

Best-Character-Experiences-1900-Park-Fare-big.jpg

I think I said this earlier in this PTR but I've made dinner reservations here quite a few times and then cancelled, but this time I'm sticking to it. I've never met the stepsisters and even though I tell myself I'm ok with it, I want to! I read mixed reviews of the food, basically for every good review of the dinner food I read 6 negative reviews so I'm not expecting anything great. Better to go in with low expectations and be surprised than to go in expecting to love it and be disappointed! However in all those negative food reviews the one thing that IS positive are the reviews of the character interactions, so I'm hoping at leasts one of the sisters dishes it out to Chris the way he dishes it out to everyone else.

After that it'll be back to MK as long as there aren't too many complaints and if anyone is interested in seeing HEA we'll watch it. I assume if we're sat on time we can be to MK by 7:30? Truthfully I didn't love it in May - don't hate me. I much preferred Wishes. Maybe I need to see HEA a few more times so it can grow on me, but I'm not a fan of fireworks and projections at the same time. So while I'm not opposed to seeing it again I'm not dying to either. I'll go with what they want to do; it'll also be a good time to ride BTMRR again since it's a cool ride to be on during fireworks.

That's it for our first day! Sorry I don't get as detailed as some of you but it would make my head spin! On another note, I checked tracking today for my PoTC Dooney. It made it to my local FedEx office but says "Undeliverable" for some reason :furious: NO idea why. Then it says to go to my local P.O. to see about picking it up or setting up delivery. Guess I know where I'm stopping tomorrow! That undeliverable note was put on there yesterday and we didn't have any kind of note or card left on the door about FedEx trying to deliver something, and I don't know why the wouldn't leave it, and I'm not confident it would be at the post office if FedEx was trying to deliver it. Bottom line not happy right now! Wish me luck, we wants the purse!

That is awesome photo!!! I love Steve's face in the background!.
Fried Green Tomato sandwich, mmmmmmm:worship:
That is what I want to try there as well. If you guys grab something small at Starbucks that morning, you might be hungry by 11? no? maybe.... The Plaza would probably be a lighter lunch for having 2 TS in one day. But maybe if the boys are more apt to like LTT, maybe you should do that since you are going to see some evil step sisters later...

Still not sure? I'm hoping to embarrass the boys a bit with the character interaction here at 5:30:

YEAH!!!!!

I read mixed reviews of the food, basically for every good review of the dinner food I read 6 negative reviews so I'm not expecting anything great. Better to go in with low expectations and be surprised than to go in expecting to love it and be disappointed!
We went 2 trips ago. And the food is just ok. It was fine. Nothing to rave about and nothing to say, I really want to go back to eat. But it wasn't bad. Just ok. My girls loved the Strawberry Soup, which was basically getting a yogurt drink in a bowl.

so I'm hoping at leasts one of the sisters dishes it out to Chris the way he dishes it out to everyone else.
The stepsisters for us where HILARIOUS! Yelling at each other across the dinning room. They were reading there bio in the autograph book we have, and the one started crossing out all the not nice things it said about her. It was pretty funny! I hope you stick with it and the are on top of there game that night!

Sorry I don't get as detailed as some of you but it would make my head spin!
It makes my head spin as well, but i just need to have a general plan before we get there.
It made it to my local FedEx office but says "Undeliverable" for some reason :furious: NO idea why. Then it says to go to my local P.O. to see about picking it up or setting up delivery.
I had this happen to me once. I forget what it was but it was something big too. And I called and then didn't know what I was talking about and THEN they magically delivered it the next day! It was so so so strange. Good Luck!!!!! #fingerscrossed

last Sunday the 2nd we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday:

I love it!!

I have two reservations: the Plaza at 11:05 and LTT at 12:15.
I am seriously considering doing LTT in June. We will do one MK day among a few resort only days, so we will need a TS, unless we decide to stick with QS only, and I am looking hard at LTT.

LTT is 12:15 and Steve would prefer that, but we also have a TS dinner at 5:30 and those might be too close together.
It very well might be too close. I will say I wasn't nearly as hungry in June as I thought I would be. The humidity just sapped it out of me.

I'm hoping to embarrass the boys a bit with the character interaction here at 5:30:

best-character-experiences-1900-park-fare-big-jpg.251523
So fun! We used to do breakfast here all the time. It has been awhile and I haven't done dinner but I should add it back on the list for a near future trip.

I read mixed reviews of the food, basically for every good review of the dinner food I read 6 negative reviews so I'm not expecting anything great. Better to go in with low expectations and be surprised than to go in expecting to love it and be disappointed!
I've only heard good things!

However in all those negative food reviews the one thing that IS positive are the reviews of the character interactions, so I'm hoping at leasts one of the sisters dishes it out to Chris the way he dishes it out to everyone else.
Love it!!

o while I'm not opposed to seeing it again I'm not dying to either.
While I actually did love it, we will be skipping it in 2018 because with only one MK/park day, I want to be riding rides as long as I can! We will save it (and a repeat of the dessert party) for 2019.

I'll go with what they want to do; it'll also be a good time to ride BTMRR again since it's a cool ride to be on during fireworks.
This was really, really fun!

Good luck! I do know here that a lot of things shipped Fed Ex and UPS are passed off to the post office to delivery. As a matter of fact, my recent Disney Store order was shipped Fed Ex but passed off to USPS who then delivered it. However, I can't help with the undeliverable note. Keep us updated!

That's my mommy!! Then today 2 of my girlfriends and I went to a winery about 30 minutes away in New Paltz for a Sangria Festival :drinking1Need I say more??

You've done pretty well for celebrating the last couple of weekends!

This will be all of our first time seeing the opening show since Steve and I haven't managed to see it on our last 2 adults trips and it started after our family trip last Nov. I'm not overly excited to see it and I know the boys won't be either, but if we're there in time I'll watch just to say I've seen it.

I wasn't a fan, as you know. But I'm willing to give it another shot. It just won't ever be like the old welcome show for me, so I'm pretty sure I just won't ever like it as much.

I still find it hysterical that he'll ride every coaster in Disney and every other theme park we go to, but finds HM freaky.

Poor Ricky! I'm so easily creeped out, but I loooove Haunted Mansion. I would have been a little unsure of it as a kid though, but probably over it by Ricky's age.

I know Steve would prefer LTT and we both loved our lunch there back in March, but there's something on the Plaza menu I REALLY want to try:

fried-green-tomato-sandwich_plaza-restaurant_16-19-700x465-jpg.251509

Fried Green Tomato sandwich, mmmmmmm:worship:

Ooh. I was going to say LTT all the way, until you mentioned the sandwich. Tough call.

I think I said this earlier in this PTR but I've made dinner reservations here quite a few times and then cancelled, but this time I'm sticking to it. I've never met the stepsisters and even though I tell myself I'm ok with it, I want to! I so want to do this! I have it booked for January for now and hopefully it'll stick. Interesting to hear about the poor food reviews, but I've always heard the same thing about the awesome character interaction. I'd love to see the look on Chris's face!

Bottom line not happy right now! Wish me luck, we wants the purse!

Oh no!! We've gotten a message like this before, but it was because there was an error in the shipping address when the company printed it on the label. Maybe something like that? Hopefully it'll be a quick fix for you and you'll get your bag soon!

Great picture of you and your Mom.
:bday: Mom
That picture of Ricky at the HM is priceless :rotfl:
I'm really looking forward to hear about your experience with 1900 Park Fare.
Hopefully you got your new Dooney today.

She looks wonderful at 70!

Then today 2 of my girlfriends and I went to a winery about 30 minutes away in New Paltz for a Sangria Festival :drinking1Need I say more??

I saw that on your facebook, what a perfect festival for you!

This will be all of our first time seeing the opening show since Steve and I haven't managed to see it on our last 2 adults trips and it started after our family trip last Nov. I'm not overly excited to see it and I know the boys won't be either, but if we're there in time I'll watch just to say I've seen it.

I've never watched any opening show....

7DMT (to keep Steve happy!) 11:40

Haha, I love how much he enjoys that ride!

I'm not a big daily planner as in planning what we'll do minute by minute, usually other than FP's I only know which ride(s) we'll go to at park opening.

I try not to plan every minute, but my family and friends already think I'm crazy for planning/booking ADR's 6 months out...

Still not sure? I'm hoping to embarrass the boys a bit with the character interaction here at 5:30:

best-character-experiences-1900-park-fare-big-jpg.251523

I have a reservation made for here in January too! I've heard mixed reviews on the food as well, but I'm really interested in meeting the Step-sisters :) I hope they do a great job of embarrassing Chris haha!

Truthfully I didn't love it in May - don't hate me. I much preferred Wishes. Maybe I need to see HEA a few more times so it can grow on me, but I'm not a fan of fireworks and projections at the same time.

We never really watched Wishes either, I just can't bring myself to stake out a spot for hours to watch things like that. We did book the dessert party for January to have a reserved viewing area for Happily Ever After though - if I'm going to be spending an hour waiting, I want to be filling my face with food!

I so want to do this! I have it booked for January for now and hopefully it'll stick.

Meghan - what date do you have this for? Are any of our plans going to overlap in January?!

Meghan - what date do you have this for? Are any of our plans going to overlap in January?!

I haven't given much thought to January at all yet, if I'm being honest! It's seemed like an afterthought. But I haphazardly booked this for Jan. 2 at 6pm when our 180 day window opened up. I don't know which ADRs I made that I'll actually keep and which I'll cancel or change yet, but that's what I've got for now. I sincerely hope your paths cross!! I'll be in touch when I get some more concrete plans!

and ordered some buttons from ParkBound Buttons.

Those came from about 20 miles south of me!! Be careful...they're addictive. I think we have about 15 of them??

Still no TA availability at WL for our first two nights so I've moved us here:

pop-century-jpg.247216

That's what I booked for our arrival night in October. I've never been to any of the value resorts before (or any of the mods, other than dropping off/picking up people on ME, and then it was just Coronado Springs), so I'm excited to see a new place. The new rooms look so nice, but I think I'm going to ask for the 70s building 10 which won't be done by then, I'm sure. Or, my luck, will be what they're working on so I have to pick a new building. I feel like I'm going to have to be up at 5am so I have time to get ready, walk over to AoA for pictures, get our stuff sent over to Poly, and still rope drop MK.

Pirates of the Caribbean satchel!

I like this print! I cannot commit to Dooney bags. I thought I was 100% going to get the Small World print, almost bought it in May...then almost bought the F&G print...then said no to both. I have two Kate Spade bags I alternate, one for the school year and one for summer, and I love them both so much I can't give them up for something different.

Even better when they don't turn out to be serial killers!

This is always a plus!! :rotfl:

Next, my ParkBound Buttons came! Here are my four:

img_6342-jpg.247947

Love!! I almost buy the Tower one at least once a month, lol!!

I'm not overly excited to see it and I know the boys won't be either, but if we're there in time I'll watch just to say I've seen it.

it's good to keep your expectations low for this one. This is one thing I really dislike about the new opening procedures. I loooove getting to go onto Main Street early and hang out, so much nicer than the old rush, BUT I hate losing the original opening show. I liked seeing all of the characters out first thing in the morning, and getting to be decently close to them in front of the stage, but it's missing the old magic and charm.

7DMT (to keep Steve happy!) 11:40

His love for this is awesome :rotfl2: I feel like he needs a special shirt to commemorate it!

Wish me luck, we wants the purse!

Ugh, that's frustrating!! I hope you get it asap!! Late/messed up mail is right up there on the hate list with car trouble and people who don't stay on the right side of the aisle in the grocery store.

My biggest ?? for this day is lunch. I have two reservations: the Plaza at 11:05 and LTT at 12:15. I know Steve would prefer LTT and we both loved our lunch there back in March, but there's something on the Plaza menu I REALLY want to try:

Fried Green Tomato sandwich, mmmmmmm:worship: However I don't know that we want to eat at 11 and I haven't been able to get a later time. There's always the walk-up option though. LTT is 12:15 and Steve would prefer that, but we also have a TS dinner at 5:30 and those might be too close together. I know two TS in a day is a lot for some but we aren't huge on QS and with the heat, we'll be happy to sit inside twice but I'm still torn: early fried green tomatoes, or later patriotic lunch with possibly still being full by dinner?
Go for the sandwich! And they have all you can drink milkshakes, but I have yet to try LTT so I can't really compare them. We walked up to the Plaza at noon, so prime lunch hours, and only waited about 10 minutes but that was the end of Feb.
