Which late in the day...has the texture of a hockey puck...as an ode to Canada
And there's the other elephant in the room...
Who stole my script?!?
Yes, we have found the quality has gone down considerable in recent 5 years or so. The festival is so big, the food has to be mass produced, the CMs working the booth seem to be suffering through plopping it down. Sometimes it's the right temp, many times it's not. The menus seemed to have changed to what is the easiest to mass produce and assemble.
Food is the one thing we all have different expectations, different bars to set/meet.
Nice try. It certainly does not. Always been fresh. However "most" of the time we do CS at lunch and sit down at night.
Still side stepped drinks and wine at this point.
You're on your own track here...nothing new...I asked for experiences and I got them. It was an open question and I would consider any good/bad points.
You're defending things to the wind...as usual.
You love all things disney and I'm beginning to think you spend an unhealthy amount of time there...I got it...duly noted. Move on, please.
What your not grasping if CS compared to Sit down. No it's not sit down quality, And believe me we never compare WDW to MPLS food.
Guests at WDW indeed need/use CS. Are you saying all WDW counter service is better than F&W food?
Still side stepped drinks and wine.
I get that...but as everyone but you has acknowledged...crowds are a problem, stagnation is a problem, overuse is a problem.
The counter service sucks...so a $75 walking lunch in a throng is beyond debate?
And i don't shy away from expenses on food and grog...but I can't shut my brain off and ignore what it is...
Still side stepped drinks and wine.
$75? Canada filet is $6.50 and Canada Scallops are $6.oo
Still side stepped drinks and wine.
Crowds are only a problem on Friday and Saturday nights. I've been to around 10 festivals, probably more. I love going, I think the World Showcase looks empty when the booths are not set up.
I'm still not seeing it. I can walk less than 1/4 mile to a barbecue joint that stocks over a hundred whisk(e)ys, and the staff are knowledgeable about all of them. Another half mile gets me to a local brewery who have an ever changing selection of beers and ales from around the world in their restaurant. Any number of high-concept burger-and-beer chains around me offer more selection at one table than Epcot does in total.
If I lived in Manhattan I'd accept that my experience is atypical, but I don't. I live on the wrong side of suburban Chicago.
Just curious...since it's come up...
How many times have people been to food and wine festival at this point?
...for research purposes...
Specifically for that?
(Love the picture...by the way)
That's it? An glut of people to navigate and make your Elsa boat ride 90 minute wait and that's all you want?.
Are you sick? You're being nice.
That's just one example, but yea $12 for filet and scallops (not $75) instead stead of a burger for sure.
Don't get me wrong, staying home offers far more everything (food and drink wise) than WDW. But if your touring WDW for a week-why complain about "additional" CS and wine offerings?
