H20 Lotion VS Body Butter

My father in law loved the H20 Sea Salt Hydrating Body Lotion on our March sailing. I see now on the DisneyStore website it has changed to a body butter. Was this just a name change or has the consistency changed to a thicker solution as I would assume? Thank you!

No, the body butter is totally different. It's very thick and greasy. I don't like it.

You can buy H2O Plus from Amazon for much less than Disney. Ulta stores also carry it.

I was afraid of that, I can't seem to find it in stock on Amazon or Ulta. I am assuming H2O changed the product. The only place I can find the correct one is on EBay.

In the past the "lotion" option for the in-room toiletries was the body butter. About 5 years ago it changed to the "lotion". That's what we got on our recent Fantasy cruise.

Thanks PrincessShmoo! This is the one we have at home and the one I am on a quest for. I was hoping to find new for a present but so far my best option is to gift my half used bottles! Ha!

Last time we purchased it was the gift shop inside GCH. But that was a while back. Do you know anyone that can check there?

I guess I'm the outcast here but I prefer the body butter, it covers better so one tube lasts longer.

I got a large tube at Ross. It was only $4.99. They get the overstocks or old versions of products from other stores. Maybe you'll have luck there.

I just went in H20 plus website. Looks like the Sea Salt Body Lotion has been discontinued. Bummer.

Wonder what DCL is going to do? Possibly go back to placing the body butter in the rooms again?

Personally, I like the lotion better than the body butter. It's lighter and doesn't make my skin feel all clogged up.

I think the cruises still get them..it's been more than a year and a half that they have not been available (lotion) on any website except ebay -one or two on Amazon (I've bought 2 and I did score one at Ross about a year ago)
Does anyone know if the Disney hotels use the butter or lotion? I know all of the properties are now using the H2O sea salt instead of the Grapefruit...
Will report back once we get back from our cruise and hotel stay in September :)

I bought a 12oz lotion from Ulta.com about 2 months ago. Guess I should have bought more.

Don't know if it's changed, or different at different resorts, but we had this in June at the All Star Movie resort (shampoo/conditioner, bath soap, and face soap, no lotion):

IMG_0581.JPG I watched a video earlier today and they did a tour of the wonder. They had a different brand of amenities. I took a screenshot. I'm not sure what the name was.

Wow, so you still get those on the Cruise ships? I really LOVE these products and bottles (don't find the word for these) and saved ours from the Magic 2013, they are scattered in our bathroom and make me smile and think of our Cruise everytime.

So they won't skip them and change them to those shared big bottles they're testing at WDW Resorts currently?

I like that H2O has removed harmful chemicals in their reformulated products. I recently ordered a travel size of the sea salt body butter to see if it is still thick. I too prefer the lotion. Don't care for the Elemis we get in Concierge so I have it switched to H2O...hopefully it's the new and not the old formula.

I know that the BC/YC recently (May/June of this year) changed their toiletries to the Sea Salt and actually the bottles are a bit larger than the tiny ones they used to have so I can't imagine that they would change everything out :( Hoping they don't because that's one more way I can get my hand on that lotion!! lol
