We might end up neighbors. :) We'll be at WL for the second half of our Thanksgiving split stay (first half is Pop Century). This is the exact location we want to use for our room request. It would be awesome to have even an obstructed view of the fireworks!
Fun! It's actually the first part of our split stay, staying at WL from Sunday pre-Thanksgiving to Friday, then over to the Dolphin on points from Friday to Wednesday. 5 nights at the MK side of the World and 5 nights to walk to Epcot/HS. The room we had was right by the elevators which I was concerned about at first but it wasn't loud at all. I'd be thrilled with anything in that stretch. We need a room for 4, preferably bunk beds since we have DD16 and DS11, but our grown son and girlfriend would prefer a King room, but we'd also like to be nearby each other so we'll have to decide what is most important when requesting.

We haven't been to WdW since the security measures have changed. If we are taking the boat over to MK do we still go through security at MK or is it at the WL boat dock?

It is at the dock in MK. They have metal detectors and bag screen just as you leave the dock and enter the front area of MK.

If you go to Epcot, you will be checked twice... once to get on the monorail and once to get in the parks.....

Hi everyone, as a follow up to my overall floorplan I have gone through my pictures, the resort map, and the declarations some more and put together floor by floor room number maps for the Copper Creek side of WL. I may be a bit obsessed, but I do have a vested interest in this now...

Another interesting note about the 7th floor open to lobby rooms on the South side (7095 and 7096) is that they are listed on the WL room number map as being part of Wilderness Lodge and not Copper Creek Villas. This makes me think they left these former honeymoon room in tact and they are still part of CL at WL. I can't find availability for them online, but I suspect that is how they are being used.

We are excited to be doing our first stay at WL! Just booked for 4/11-4/16. Doing a split stay with BC. We were hoping to do CL but there were no rooms available for any part of our trip, surprising. All the other resorts had CL availability. But we are just going to have our TA keep an eye open for any rooms that might pop up.

This is another fantastic @GrandCalifornian original! Thank you so much for all your investigatory and CAD efforts! This will definitely enhance the CCV chapter of the thread:worship:

ETA: The Honeymoon Suites and the VP and Presidential Suites have never been available for online booking, so their absence from online booking sites doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist. However, the Presidential Suite was in (South Wing) 7123 and that is now two separate CC villas. Thanks again for all your great detective work, @GrandCalifornian.

I'll add your dates to our Lodgers' Log, @no one, and don't give-up on CL, rooms open up all the time.

I posted on touring plans website they said they will have an outline of Copper Creek rooms hitting their website soon.

I'm wanting to bring my bike again and was wondering where the rack is now. It took 2 hours with club cast members to figure that one out last time I was there. ...that time it was on the the far side of the dvc. Just wondering
In if it still exists.

Looking for info on the case of water you can purchase at the resort, which shop, how much and what type of water?

thanks

Does anyone know if the smaller rooms on the first floor are the studios? We have a deluxe studio reserved for next weekend and my mom wanted to request a room through touring plans but it looks like that is not available for CCV. It would be nice to be on the first floor close to the main pool! Are requests available through online check-in? Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful information in this thread! First time staying at WL and I am super excited!

Yes, those smaller rooms are studios. So it looks like your odds of getting one on the ground floor look good. If you booked a cash reservation through Disney then you call call reservations and have your location request added to the reservation. I can't remember what the requests are for online check in. But they use to list lower floor as one of the options.

Thank you! I think we would be happy in any of those rooms, but I will see if she wants to call anyway and ask. We easily did the request at ASMo through touring plans but couldn't find it anywhere on the CCV page. Maybe they are just too new?

I am staying at Boulder Ridge Villas on 12/14-12/15 in a Deluxe Studio! Going to MVMCP on 12/14, and this is the first time I have ever stayed at a Deluxe Villa! I have never stayed in a Deluxe Villa at WL/BRV before, and I can't wait!

Prepare to enjoy yourselves. . .and you might fall in love with the place. ;)

Certainly will do! I am going solo for this trip as well!
Well, it's a wonderful place to recharge your batteries and wind down a bit. If you enjoy libations, then Territory Lounge is a superb place to start, though Geyser Point has exceptional views of the lake and a very good bar, as well. You can see parts of Happily Ever After from there, and they pipe in the music, too. If you like nature, head down the trail toward Ft Wilderness. Heck, just the music, flickering lights, and occasional sounds of the crickets is enough for me.
