This afternoon in southwest Michigan, the snow stopped, the sun shone and the temperature got above freezing.

Two from me:
1) Tried a new recipe for dinner and everyone liked it.
2) My parents spend their winters in Florida and are leaving Wednesday (that makes me kind of sad), but they came over tonight and we had a really nice visit.

I like this thread. It is so easy to complain, I should know, I do it frequently.

A positive thing today, my 2 year old kept telling me she loves me and kissing me.

My 6 year old helped me sort through a pile of crayons, Legos and assorted junk without being asked.

Husband made dinner.

Dance was cancelled, so we got a rare week day evening to stay home.

It made it into the upper teens/low 20s today, so even though we had light snow almost all day, it was nice to have the temps out of the negative range!

My new job is going well and I learned today that I won't have to teach any labs this semester, so I can review all the material, shadow in the labs, and focus on (a) doing a great job on managing the labs, and (b) getting ready to teach in the summer sessions.

DD is coming home for a long weekend in early February!!

I had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with the family. I'm really excited to see what this year has in store for us.

My cat that broke his leg about a month ago is totally back to normal. Bugging all of us and trying to get outside. He is SO bored in the house
And my youngest dd just started dating a young man she has know since 3rd grade. The kind of young man you want your dd to date She is incredibly happy which make me incredibly happy
