Has anyone ate here? Is it worth the two Dining Credits? Looking for good seafood while there in November.

We ate there in Dec and it was very good. I had the Baked Crab Stuffed Lobster and it was delicious. Bill had the Steak Oscar (filet with crab) and he enjoyed that. We had a reservation around 7, but was at Disney Springs around 5:30. We asked if we could be seated early and they seated us (we had a choice of inside or outside). We're going back in May. We weren't on the dining plan and won't be in May. It was expensive, but delicious.

By the way, I destroyed that lobster. Used three servings of butter with it.

lol thanks will be on dining plan, and I am sure will be also some out of pocket there, for apps or whatever.

Check allears.net for the menu. That's how I found out exactly what I was going to order.

We always pay out of pocket for the Boathouse, it's just so good. We've never had a bad meal. Last time we got seated outside and the atmosphere was lovely, pleasant staff and delicious food.

The first time we went we had the lobster bake for two, I wasn't hungry for ages after.

Somewhat OT (but not totally as I'm eating at Boathouse on my upcoming trip too)... How does the paying extra work when on the Dining Plan? Just let them know you're on the Dining Plan but will pay OOP for whatever is not included?

I'm pretty sure that the appetizers are not included in the ddp, so that most likely ill be out of pocket.

Yes, I know that. I've never done the dining plan before and am not sure how it works when you're using the plan for the meal but adding on extras. You just let them know you're paying out of pocket for the not included stuff?

The servers are really good about letting you know when you order what is/isn't going to be included. When they bring your bill you can then tell them either to charge it to your room/card or give them cash.

ETA: What is covered will already be taken care of, so the remaining balance will be at the bottom

Awesome! Thank you!

In my experience, at jusst about every restaurant, as soon as the server comes up, the first question is "are you on the Dining Plan"? We unsed it on one trip. The staff was always very good about letting you know when you were purchasing something that would be OOP.

1/2 dozen house oysters are considered an appetizer for one on the ddxp. The golden caviar is also available on the ddxp but I don't recall if that was a 1 or 2 person appetizer.

Depending on what you order you may want to pay OOP since it is a 2 TS restaurant . I got the Coconut Shrimp and my DH got the Shrimp n Sausage Mac n Cheese. Both of those were no more than $26.00 each. The waiter asked if we were on any Dining Plan ( we weren't ).
