** OPENING DAY PRICING MID 2019: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

Just an interesting (to me, at least) observation when looking at all the quotes from platinum customers...

An overwhelming majority are for parties that are adults only and no kids. Not sure if there is anything to be gleaned from that. Perhaps, though, families with children are not repeating DCL vacations nearly as much as in the past.

I think I am about to make my TA’s life better (at least from booking tomorrow’s perspective)...

I think I will KEEP my Feb cruise on the Dream and just change to a 5E to try. Then look at booking Aulani for my 2019 birthday trip. (Or book a birthday cruise but later in the year.)

one hour on hold and counting...

Does anyone else have an irrational fear of accidentally disconnecting while waiting???!!!! :fish:

Yes! Had to book thru Costco because they held my placeholder and it took 3 hours but got it done. Now it figure out if I can actually afford it. Costco said they don't "hold" bookings so I had to pay deposit, which actually seemed lower than I thought it wouldbe so that helps for now.

Most people have cordless phones now . Make sure you rotate it if you have more than one. You don’t want the battery to die after you been waiting for a long time. If your on a cell phone hope you have a strong signal.

Was on hold for one hour and 15 minutes...had to go to the bathroom at the one hour mark and was so scared that I would miss them picking up and I would have to start all over again.

Anyway, was able to book:
G - Magic - May 12 - Cat 10B, 3A $5057 [$2041, $2041, $975], no ins/trans/obb.
Taxes were $134.29 pp. (not included in the above prices)

1 adult, 1 six year old

From my TA I was able to get pricing for you this morning in the May 12, 2019 transatlantic cruise on Disney Magic.

Cat 7A with a navigator’s verandah = $5988.58

Cat 5A verandah = $6768.58

Concierge = $9758.58

They can book the same as we can. But THEY are the ones on hold and not us.

Yup! My TA books for me on platinum day, then calls the next day and books for my daughter because she’s gold. Once they get an agent, they take care of all their clients on one call! Since this is a free service for the clients, I can’t believe more don’t do it this way!

Another possibility is that some platinum cruisers have older kids. We are still gold (3 more for platinum). We started cruising DCL when mine were 8 and 4, but now they are 23 and 19 so often can't accompany us due to school/work schedules. When they do, they are booked into their own cabin, so still pricing for 2 adults.

Yep! And my TA said that her agency will pair up agents (or sometimes 3 or 4) and if one in the group gets through, s/he will do their clients first, then move onto the next in the group’s if the other has not gotten through yet.
