Does anyone know what types of beer are currently being offered at the GF RPC? It has been almost 10 years since we have stayed there so any information I had is very outdated. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary (we were married at the Wedding Pavilion and honeymooned there) at RPC this April so
i am trying to collect as much up to date information as possible.

Thanks!

We are finally going back to the grand the end of April!! We went several times when my girls were little but haven't been to Florida in almost six years and honestly wasn't sure if we would ever get the chance again. I have been struggling with my health and going through chemo so while I know this trip will wipe me out I'm so beyond happy to have this time with my family! My youngest has not been since kindergarten and only remembers bits and pieces but yet has always told people the grand Floridian is her favorite hotel, that and cream cheese pretzels at the park :).

I commend you go going the extra mile given your current situation. Perhaps the best therapy anyone could get is being with your family in a very special place. What an escape! Just being anywhere in the Grand Floridian makes me smile, whether is in a confortable lobby chair people watching or music listening, or sitting out near the pool. If you can't sleep, get up and enjoy the grounds over a coffee at the Gasparilla Grill. The early morning quiet time is wonderful and as the Magic Kingdom awakens, you will hear things like the howl from the Haunted House or a distant bell from a boat or the whosh of the 1st monorail trains. After a 6 year haitus, you will be impressed with how things are taken care of. We came here for the 1st time in 1988 grand opening and it has never gotten old staying here. The prices though are also breathtaking. My stepson and his wife picked up the same feelings and became Grand Floridian Vacation club owners and we had the fun of returning the the GF last summer with them and our 2 year old granddaughter.
Tip, if you feel up to it, there is now a walkway between the GF and the Polynesion also lit at night. Enchanting and worth the effort. Best wishes to you.

I loved what @Rob Troxel said/agreed.

Can you add cl? Sugarloaf isn't much more and may be handy. A stay I had last year at poly I was not cl and ordered coffee and a continual breakfast via room service. I put leftovers in the frig( grapes and pastries) for later. The kids (22 yr olds) had pancakes etc. It made the morning after MNSSHP easier for this middle aged mom.

I also had myself or my husband fetch from QS over the years. Can you send someone to get breakfast/lunch /snacks to eat in your room on that rolling table under the desk?

3rd option you can use the dining app and book breakfast same day, I did that in September 2017. They did say at the podium it usually works IF before 9Am. 9-10-30 is busy.

Lunch is not usually too busy and dinner last minute if flexible on time, earlier the better.

How much is a half day cabana?

Is you do the 3pm start time what time does it end?
In January the temp one was set up at the courtyard pool. I cant imagine they would charge the same because it is not as nice.. At poly its 10-2 or 3-7 but i haven'tdone gf. Maybe someone knows.

Ill go get my pix of that set up. BRB

I agree with Rob Troxel, what a great/special way to spend time with family! Have a great time making wonderful memories :wizard:.

I rented a cabana at the beach pool for our trip this coming May. A full day charge was $318.44 and a half day was $211.94. And they charge your credit card in full at the time of the reservation. Cancellations are 24 hrs prior I believe I was told. And yes the day ends at 7pm.

We stayed at the Poly and walked the walkway over to the GF on our last trip. It was a really nice walk, looking forward to doing that again, reverse direction this time as we are staying first time at the GF!

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately $$ is a consideration, and her parents will probably get her a cake. Maybe I will order a toy or princess dress from one of the park shops and have it delivered to her room.
Take her and let her pick out a princess dress in the store in the main building. My daughter always enjoyed that, it was her souvenir for the trip.

You all at the Grand Floridian thread are very knowledgeable. How are the crowds the days going up to Thanksgiving? We're looking at Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Touring Plans crowd calendar says they are 5-6 out of 10. I was surprised with school out. We love the Grand Floridian and will stay there.

Looking for some information on outer building connecting rooms. At Poly, it seems like the most common configuration was a king room connecting to a 2 queen room. But I can't find much information about king rooms, garden view, outer building at GF. Does King connecting to 2 queen exist at GF? Does anyone know some room numbers or buildings?

Oh gosh. I hope the regular ones are back. We paid full price for a Cabana in April. I was hoping for the regular set up? We paid 200.00 for 10 to 2.

Maybe the beach pool will be finished by then and the old set up back in place. I haven't been paying attention for that date.

The original ones looked nice! A dis friend was in one once and I visited. She loved it while dh had to work.

Hope it works out:flower1:
