Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Just got back from staying 2/27 -3/6. Stayed in Acadian House 3rd floor. Uneventful stay. We've stayed here once before.
Housekeeping did what was expected daily while we were gone. Room was clean, beds comfy. Ate breakfast primarily at the cafeteria, food was decent.
Bus service was good, but a bit crowded from the south depot, but not anything too crazy.

I might add, that we stayed in Acadian, building 80. No evidence of dogs during our stay. Not a bark, dog hair, nor any dog waste.

Also find it interesting that the doggy daycare is across the road from the resort.

They are trying to restrict dogs to building 25 in Alligator Bayou and the Acadian Building.

Actually building 24 is the preferred area for guests with dogs, but do remember that they can be in other buildings too depending on what category of room the guest originally booked (e.g. Royal Room or River View bookings cannot be accommodated in building 24).

Are there any Royal Rooms that allow dogs?

Additionally, there is a high likelihood that *any* accessible room anywhere on property will have had a service dog at some point in the fairly recent past.

This is probably a weird question, but does the food court have the freestyle machines? TIA.
I asked this on the refillable mug page a month or so ago and POR didn't have the freestyle machines then and still to my knowledge it doesn't now

Here at POR now. FYI there is construction going on so the busses are all running S-W-N-E for pick-up and drop-off. After the East bus stop the bus has to turn into a parking lot and then turn around and go back around the resort because the road that completes the loop is blocked off after the East bus stop so the busses can't make a complete loop around the resort.

This may be a dumb question, but does it look like the kind of construction that goes on for months? Wondering if it's still going to be there in June.

Edit: Sorry, I misread this as a POFQ construction question. There is no major work due at Riverside for a while, not until the first Alligator Bayou room refurbs start later in the year. There is a road closure near the Royal Rooms at the moment for emergency utility work, but that should only last a few more days.

My 4-year-old has been asking daily to have a "picnic at Disney". She talks about it to anyone she can find who is willing to listen. Is there anywhere around the resort that would be a good location for this?
