NBA 2017-18 Playoffs - All Welcome

Casey had to go , in Toronto there tired of knocking on the door, they got to get inside

With this lull - back to the Sixers/Celtics game 5. The two-minute officiating report is out.

Exactly what I though. In the last minute they listed four "incorrect no calls". Smart contacting Saric. No call. Saric shoving Smart. No call. Embid fouled shooting. No call. Embid grabs Rozier's jersey. No call.

Hey Philly is going to win championships before they are done. The NBA kinf of works in steps, you make play off one year, next you win a series in playoff, then championship series . Philly so good they already skipped a step, as a Cavs fan Im scared of them with or without Lebron

Looks like the Celtics are going to make quick work of the Cavs.

I'm glad no one in media focused on the non-calls as controversial in any way. When they release these reports media always tends to focus on the last few minutes of missed calls, but missed calls in quarters 1-3 can have the same outcome on a game. The only call missed call I thought would have been particularly interesting was Smart's travel after catching the hail mary throw down court and it leaving 1 second left. We could have had an ending similar to game 3 with last second 76ers shot. I don't a win there would have changed the series outcome, but may have given us 1 or 2 more entertaining games. Hoping this Cavs-Celtics series is more enjoyable than yesterday's blowout.

Much too early to dismiss the Cavs and I am rooting for the Celtics. The Cavs will be back. Lebron will put them on his back and power through. Celtics shot 51% to Cavs 36%. 3 point avgs were 36% for Celts to 15% for Cavs. If the Celtics can keep that up and the Cavs don't improve, the Celtics have a chance. But I will bet the Cavs improve and the Celtics may go cold at some point. Hope I'm wrong.

So Warriors took game 1 after starting out slowly to begin the game.

Oh - I heard something interesting today. Since the Rockets got bought out by restaurant mogul Tilman Fertitta, the Golden Nugget Casino in Vegas is required to pay out any bets for the Warriors to win the Western Conference final. He owns Landry's which among other things owns that casino, Bubba Gump's. etc. I believe they were required to pay back any bets made on Houston, and since the Rockets are playing the Warriors, there's an automatic payout.

Also - his casino was required to take Houston off the NBA futures boards (or any game with Houston) after he bought it out. The Warriors are automatically considered winners for this purpose at his casino.

Bumping the thread back up - interesting series, albeit without any close games (aside from last night). Both tied up 2-2, so two huge Game 5s coming up, tonight and tomorrow. :)

Yeah some have been a snoozefest, but it was nice to see a close game last night.

Honestly, beyond the play I struggle watching when the crowds are not into it - no energy level, especially Cleveland in game three. I have little understanding of that in the playoffs. Heck we're crazy here in the regular season. At least Inside the NBA entertained me one night. :drinking1

I chickened out of saying this weeks ago on here. But I've been calling Cleveland and Golden State in the finals, with a Cleveland win. Might make no sense on paper for a Cleveland win, but it's my pick. And it's working out so far. I actually went with BOS/CLE Eastern conference.

My choice of Cleveland is pretty ****ty of me, sorry Raptors. :rotfl2:

A few have said that LeBron won't leave Cleveland after a win. But I'm not so sure. He's having to put everything on that floor. What was it? 44 the other night? After 15 years! Unbelievable.

Anyone putting their bets in?

My guess is that LeBron is leaving after this year, barring a championship. Heck, even with a championship, he still might leave, but it would only be harder for him to justify.

Why the hate for LeBron? :goodvibes

I adore his play, his tenacity and yep his looks.
Not him as a regular person at all, but he is very arrogant on the court and feels entitled all the time. He has won too much. Steph Curry is also a winner as well, but he isn't nearly as arrogant as Lebron.

Okay. :goodvibes

I totally disagree about him on the court but thanks for answering. :thumbsup2
