Height questions

I’m 5’7” and my husband is 6’7”. I like the height difference. Sometimes though, when he hugs me, it feels like he just envelopes me lol

My daughter is 5’1” and she’s done growing.

I'm 5'1" but I wish I was at least 5'5". If I were taller, maybe I wouldn't look like a hobbit - I have VERY short legs (my inseam is only 26") and linebacker shoulders. Petite length pants are too long (and I have to go a size up because they're cut smaller all over anyway), and I have to buy shirts a size up in order to fit my broad shoulders. Maybe I'd be more in proportion if I had a few more inches on me.

DH is 5'9"-ish. He thinks he's 5'8", but his sister is 5'8" and he's a tad taller than her.

Our 2 1/2-year-old son is a little over 3' now. He was conceived with the help of an egg donor, who was 5'11", so he's projected to be 6' by 18 years old :)

I am 4’10” so short....definitely would like to be taller but oh well. Genetics.
My DH is 5,8”
My 14 year old DD is probably around 5’1 now. It has been awhile that we have measured her. She caught up to me when she was 11.
DD2 is 11 and shorter than me. She will probably be a shorty like me unless she has a bit growth spurt.

I'm 5'6" and have a grown DD that is 4'8". She hates it and has so many issues associated with being short. Can't reach pedals in even the smallest of cars, must keep step stools in most rooms. I have a half sister who is 6'2" and she always wears 4 inch heels. What a spread we have! :)

Me - 5’8”
DH - 5’9”
Dd21 - 5’3”
Ds10 - 6’1”
Dd17 - 5’4”
Dd15 - 5’5”
Ds15 - 5’8” (still growing)

DH’s sisters are around 5’, his dad is 5’4. Thank goodness for me!

I've seen the rompers and thought "oh those would be so cute" and then I realize nope it would never work..the proportions would be completely off on me lol.

I have 2 friends who have been killing it in them for years...they’re both like 5’2, portionate, and roughly probably size 10. They are the only people that I know that can make it work - and dang are they cute. I hate being kept from an entire clothing style involuntarily. I mean, I mostly hate pants, but that’s on me.

We sound so alike! Every couple of years I really consider buying myself some boobs, so I get you. Bonus side, I can wear sundresses all summer without a proper bra.

I'm 5'0' and trust me - you think you want them, you don't. I finally underwent reduction a few years ago. Wish I had done it sooner! Now I can wear sundresses & tank tops! and shirts with buttons...I could go on, but I won't!!

I'm 5'0", my husband is 6'2". Eldest son is 5'10" at 22 yrs old., youngest topped out at 5'5" by 18 (he's 20 now) . My side of the family is very short, so my boys didn't stand much of a chance. My tallest close relative is one of my younger brothers - 5'6" :)

I'm just shy of 5'5" . I grew two inches in college, which I swear was me trying to catch up a luttlito the guy I was dating, he's 6'5" and now my husband :rotfl:

Both kids shot past me years ago topping out at 5'9" and 6'2". My nieces are 5'11" and 6'3" (not sure that one is done growing!) and my nephew is 6'6". I always feel so short at family gatherings (but truthfully I'm fine with my height)

I used to be about 6'1" or so but I've shrunk a bit with age I guess. I'm now about 5'11" and hopefully done shrinking.

I'm 5'7" and it's fine. Often it's a little hard to find pants long enough (I really want them to almost touch the ground), 33-34" inseam is good so I wonder how actually tall women get along.

DH is 5'10". He has no clothing issues :)

DD19 is 5'8" with a long torso. She's barely taller than me but when we sit she is much higher than me! Rompers are definitely not happening, and cute junior dresses are closer to shirts. Being a track runner, she always wished the extra length was in her legs instead. She was generally 95% to off the charts on the baby/toddler height charts.

DD16 is 5'1" and I don't expect any growth. She was more of a 5%er on those charts. Don't know why she is so petite but it's cute on her so I love it. Dresses are not so much of a problem although honestly most of them are a smidge too short even on her so the manufacturers really need to fix this! Jeans used to be an issue but now she wears only skinnies and either they bunch or she rolls them so that saves us a lot of hassle.

I’m about 5’5.5” and wish I was taller. Since I have an obsession with 6” heels and an authoritative walk most people assume I’m more like 5’8” and wearing 3” heels. Hubby is about 5’9” and I Tower over him in some of my heels but he’s fine with it. My twin sister is like 5’5” but with a much longer torso so when we’re sitting she looks taller. Her hubby is about 5’10” and her almost 3 year old is probably almost 40” now - he’s gonna be a giant! My dad is 6’ and mom is 5’2.5” (or was - I’d bet she’s 5’1” now) so we’re pretty average.

I am 5’9” DH is 5’4”
We get looks EVERYWHERE we go and after 23 years this is a little annoying.

When our boys were little we were always curious how tall they would be in our situation and this is how they turned out:
DS21 6’
DS19 5’9
DS14 5’9 but growing by the day

I'm 5'3"
DH is 5'4"
DS14 is 4'9"
DS12 is 4'9.5"

My poor boys...they are so small...and older DS hasn't even experienced a whiff of puberty yet. I hope my sons end up at least taller than me.

I'm 5' and my DH is 6'1. To the surprise of all of us, our DS topped out at 5'1 and it has had a terrible impact on his self-image. He said to me once "No woman will ever want me because I'm short". It broke my heart.

Oh, that’s absolutely not true!
How old is your son? I was always shocked when boys came to visit a couple years after graduation and they were several inches taller.

He's 21 now and seemed to have stopped growing around 16, although we all held out hope he'd take a final spurt like his dad apparently did around 18. It didn't happen. It was quite startling to be confronted with just how deeply he struggles with body image. Honestly, I never anticipated a boy having feelings like that and of course he's perfect in my eyes. I'm not sure what we could have done for him during his teen years but I feel like we really dropped the ball somehow. :sad1:

That breaks my heart too. It won't be that way at all.
