Castle Club Room - Disneyland Paris Hotel

I'm interested in the Castle Club rooms at the Disneyland Hotel. I've read about the breakfast, the elevator, the Fast Passes, and the park view.

But are there any features inside the room itself that set it apart from other rooms at the hotel?

I don't recall anything specifically differing in the room vs. the one we had that wasn't CC. They did have a special kid-sized robe for my daughter and left her a stuffed animal the first day. They brought us tea when we arrived. But as far as the room itself, it seemed like the same configuration as the regular room, though at a better location and with a better view. It's been a few years, but I unless you are going with a suite, I can't say anything about the room itself was particularly distinguishing that I recall.

Thank you for the reply. If you went back today which room would you choose? I also heard that even with a Castle Club room a castle view is not guaranteed. (!) It that true?

Yes thats right - not all Castle Club rooms have a park view as some are on the other side so face the other way.

If at check in they didn't have a Castle Club castle view room available---I think I would ask them to downgrade me to a regular room.

Yes, if you want park view, you have to pay extra. I think it is worth it. I mean, at that point, why not.

Well, we are actually going back in a few weeks, and we ended up at the Golden Forest room in Sequoia Lodge. Its the first time we haven't stayed at DLH. Ultimately, while the VIP FP is nice, the price difference was HUGE. Thousands. I couldn't justify that.

Now, I loved our CC stay, and at the time, it made sense, since I had a young child and we liked being able to pop back to the room for a nap or rest or drink and snack in the afternoon, enjoyed the character visits at breakfast, used the VIP FP over and over on Peter Pan, that kind of thing. Now...she's 12 and we just don't need that stuff so much anymore.

Park view rooms cost more than 'other view' as they sometimes call it. When you enquire, you should ask what the room options are and then choose. Breakfast is served in the Castle Club itself and characters appear each day. Even if you don't book a park view room, you can see the fireworks from the lounge and there are two tables, one each side of the lounge right by the window - so if you get there early enough you will have a prime view. There's also free unlimited soft drinks although in reality everything is priced into what is an expensive room.
