Hakuna Matata, A Baked Potato! -Oct '17 TR *Completed, New PTR Link*

Looks like you had a fabulous afternoon in EPCOT!

I love your selections from Coastal Eats. We had the scallops, but your other two choices look great too!

Beautiful pictures from Canada.

These two pictures are super-cute! I love your shirt and the skirt and the ears complete your outfit perfectly.

Any time I see the crème brulee from France, I think of the time they wouldn't sell it to us. We told them we were going to be carrying our meal back to the Beach Club and they said it was too hot. They would only give us chocolate mousse for dessert.

:rotfl2:

I have got to find that Remy magic shot in October! Jim will love doing that one since it's his favorite movie.

Man, now I want ice cream! I just wrote in my PTR about a possible Ice Cream Martini when I'm there in August.

Remy is so cute in the magic shots, you really got some nice pictures on your way to France, it didn’t even look to busy. That area is usually very hectic and crowded.

I have always wanted to try the macaroon ice cream sandwich, it looks yummy!

Thank you! The crowds definitely picked up later in the day (probably because it was a Friday), so I think we timed it nicely being there earlier in the afternoon!

The macaroon sandwich was definitely delicious!

I thought that was pretty funny too!

Where did you get your Halloween shirts? They are super cute! We will be going back again in October and I think it would be fun to have Halloween shirts even though we won't be attending MNSSHP.

I actually ordered the pattern designs off Etsy and then ironed them on the shirts myself! You definitely should get some Halloween shirts, even if you're not going to the party!

I need to try this!!!

And we need to explore this pavilion better. We always seem to go left to right and by the time we get here we are tired!

This is one of my favorite snacks! soft and cold so yummy.

It is SO good! One of my favorite food & wine snacks.

Same here, I never spent a lot of time in that pavillion! I'm glad we did this time!

I'm so glad I tried it, definitely lived up to the hype!

The ice cream in France is ah-mazing!! So glad you finally got to try it! :D

Yes! I'm glad I finally did too!

The ice cream in France is so good but definitely rich! You've gotta really be craving something sweet to get anything from there.

Such a cute magic shot with Remy!

I agree! I'm glad we only got one and shared it!

Thank you!

We really did! And NO rain!

That was booth was a sure winner! The scallops were probably the best of the 3, so you made the right pick ;)

Thanks!

Thank you! I was feeling extra princess-y that day :)

LOL what?! That is very odd! :rotfl:

Yes! You should not have a hard time, I think several locations throughout Epcot do it!

I just saw your update! I hope you get to try it, it does sound interesting!

I always find myself pining away over Disney art I could never afford. lol We do have a few prints by Larry Dotson that are really great quality and not really expensive.

It looks like a perfect day to be enjoying F&W!

Some more really excellent photopass photos here! I'm continually in awe of how cute you and your parents always look in your pictures!!

The macaron sandwich looks heavenly! Yum!

The ones we were considering weren't too out of our price range, but we did decide to pass. We ended up spending the money on a different souvenir which I'll share at the end!

It really was! The weather was perfect and for being a Friday the crowds weren't terrible!

Thank you! Aww you're so sweet! :lovestruc

So delicious! I'm glad I tried it!

Day 7, October 27, 2017 - Finishing up World Showcase & Visa M&G!

When we were done with our ice cream we continued our trip around the world! We skipped past Morocco since we spent enough time there on our other Epcot day and headed to Japan.

We spent some time looking in the gift shop. My mom and I each bought one of those lucky owls they sell, it's a cute little
souvenir. I also bought some delicious peach gummies that I would for sure get again!

I also had to drag my mom into the little exhibit to show her Gelatoni and lament over how the American parks don't have him.

And funny enough, about a month later they released a small batch on the Disney Store website and I was able to snag one! I was a happy girl :)

From there we headed to Italy!

We were pretty much done seeing everything we wanted to see in the countries. So we continued walking the loop until we made it to the Odyssey Building. They had the craft beer stand in there as well as some food options. We ended up getting the scotch egg, the cheeseburger handwich, and a flight of beer.

I did not care for the scotch egg at all. I don't know if it was because it was too chilled or because the egg was wayyyy over done. The handwich was delicious though and I think mom & dad approved of their beer flight :)

We sat in here for a bit just relaxing. This was when we realized I COMPLETELY forgot to check us in for our flight home. I was annoyed with myself since like I mentioned we were Southwest newbies and I was concerned about the open seating policy. I forget what boarding group we ended up getting but it wasn't terrible.

We also used this time to see what else we wanted to do! I really wanted to see Tiffany perform at Eat to the Beat but we had just missed one set and I knew we wouldn't make it in time for the 2nd set. And I also didn't want to force us to stick around for the last set. So unfortunately I gave up on that idea!

We instead decided to head over to the Visa M&G!

I really wanted to get a pic of my parents with their buttons. Too bad a monorail didn't go by, it would've made for a cool pic!

There were a couple of groups ahead of us but it didn't take too long before we were in the room. I was happy to see we would be meeting Minnie & Pluto! We had a lot of fun with them and took some really adorable photos :)

Up next...An awesome surprise and we finish our Epcot day!

Love that Japan store! I could spend hours in there browsing.

Mmmmmm, Scotch Eggs are a favorite of mine. Bummer your's wasn't too good. Hopefully if they have them this year they will be cooked better.

Adorable pictures with Pluto and Minnie! Even though I've done that Visa M&G at least 5 times, I've never gotten those two. It's always been Mickey and Goofy.

Love the pictures! I really wish they would spruce up that M&G area--I don't like how the door is in some pictures!

Can't believe how far behind I got! And of course I kept forgetting to multi-quote! But it looks like you guys were having a great last day!

We didn't have too hard of a time finding a spot and soon enough Hallowishes was starting!!

That is an awesome spot!

Adorbs!

Ooh, I love the Japan pavilion! Especially the shopping! I always bring home some neat candies to nibble on.

Too bad you missed Tiffany. That would have been a really cool show! But it looks like you had fun anyway. And your parents are sweet with their buttons!

Bummer about the scotch egg, I had one at Rose and Crown and really liked it!

Love the pictures of your parents with their anniversary buttons!

I love the Japan Pavilion and the store!

Aw, sorry your Scotch egg wasn't as good as you hoped it would be. It's never fun when you pay Disney prices and end up with a dish that's not very edible! But at least the handwich was a success.

Your parent's picture with their anniversary buttons is so adorable. Oh my goodness, they should frame that and put it up somewhere.
I also like the one with you rocking your birthday button!

Minnie and Pluto sounds like a fun character combo. I love when they switch it up and do something different than the standard Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and Pluto, etc.

Can't wait to hear what the awesome surprise was.

Such a beautiful day!!!

OK, we literally crossed paths that day! We stopped and got food at the Odyssey food both- Nannette got the macaroni handwich and I got the Scotch eggs. I also thought they were "meh". It was weird that they were cold. I haven't tried them at the Rose & Crown, but I have liked them at Leaky Cauldron at Universal.

This is an awesome picture!!!

Did you make the buttons? Or have them made? They are so cute. (In 3 years, these would be perfect for Mark and me!)

I have never done the Visa meet & greet, although I do have the card and bring it with me on trips.

:love::rotfl:

My girls would love him... You def have the same taste in plush as them! I will have to keep an eye out for it online... That would be a good Tinkerbell gift.

I was annoyed with myself since like I mentioned we were Southwest newbies and I was concerned about the open seating policy. I forget what boarding group we ended up getting but it wasn't terrible.
I set an alarm on my phone to check us in. Because I would def do that too!

This is the best! Love it.

We ALWAYS have to set a timer on our phones to check in for our flights home on Southwest or I'm sure we would never remember! That's the one bad thing about flying Southwest is having to check in 24 hours before to make sure you get a good boarding position, especially when it comes time to go home and you're still having fun in the parks.

That handwich looks really good! Sorry the scotch egg was not as good. It's a bit of a bummer when you fork out the money for a F&W snack that isn't good.

Cute Visa photos! We haven't done that in awhile, but we always enjoyed it when we did!

There's so much to look at in there!

I was a little bummed! I definitely still need to try the one at Rose & Crown!

Thank you! It's so weird that you've never gotten them because both times I've done this with my parents I've gotten them both! And one other time I got Minnie & Goofy. Hopefully next trip it's finally Pluto for you!

Love the pictures! I really wish they would spruce up that M&G area--I don't like how the door is in some pictures!

Thanks! The room is so small! They should at least try and cover up the door though with something!

wo that's great

Thanks

We were, thank you!

Thanks, I was pretty happy with it and we didn't have to camp out for too long which was nice.

I love that pic too!

Too bad you missed Tiffany. That would have been a really cool show! But it looks like you had fun anyway. And your parents are sweet with their buttons!

It's always so hard to decide what candy to choose!

It would have been cool to see her but it wasn't the end of the world! We did still have fun anyway!

Bummer about the scotch egg, I had one at Rose and Crown and really liked it!

Love the pictures of your parents with their anniversary buttons!

I love the Japan Pavilion and the store!

I need to try the one at Rose & Crown, I imagine it is much better!

Thanks!

The Japan pavillion is awesome, always enjoy walking through there!
