*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

I surprised my DH (then fiancé) with the Aqua Seas Tour in 2012 and it was awesome. You really have something to look forward to :cutie:

Oh yay!! I am glad to hear that you liked it so much :) As long as I get to see a turtle close up, I will be thrilled!

...and vacations in The World.

lol exactly! If I have to wake up insanely early anywhere, I would rather it be at Disney World!

Yeah, I'm sure you will. You're not allowed to touch them though, and you'll be told that if they come near you to keep your arms crossed over your chest, because they'll know you don't have food then. One swam really close to DH when we were there.

I got back from my beach/concert trip to find my DME tags and the first set of Magic Bands! That was great to see :)

I was looking over my itinerary and the first three days of my trip are making me a bit nervous. My daughter and I are not early risers unless absolutely necessary (like school and work) but the first three days of our trip (well I guess it would be first four if you count the day we fly there..we have a 7:00 AM flight) involve getting out of bed insanely early. As of now, it looks like the final itinerary is:

09/03: Arrival day at AKL. Swim for a bit, nap, then Disney Springs in PM.
09/04: Sense of Africa tour at AK (meet in lobby at 6:45 AM...that will be rough lol). AK afterwards.
09/05: Epcot - PPO breakfast at Garden Grill. Aquas Seas Tour at noon! Excited about that! HS in PM.
09/06: Wild Africa Trek at AK at 8:00 AM. Maybe go to a water park afterwards for a bit, then to the Boardwalk in the evening.
09/07: MNSSHP.
09/08: Switch resorts (AKL to the Poly), rent a Sea Raycer for half an hour, then to HS.
09/09: MNSSHP. Maybe waterpark in AM.
09/10: Resort day at the Poly
09/11: MNSSHP
09/12: Epcot
09/13: AK
09/14: Departure day :( We have a late flight so we will probably go to a park until about 4:30.

So that’s the plan. I didn’t include ADR’s because there are just way too many of them lol. We will sleep in on some days and sometimes go to water parks in the morning and then to a park afterwards. We also have park hoppers which we plan on using. I can’t believe it

I'm doing Wild Africa Trek the day before you. I opted for the 12:30pm tour though, to get the discounted price. Hoping I don't melt in the heat! :)

Oh awesome! I was thinking about doing the later time for the discounted price, but I opted for the 8 AM slot so that I could get a couple low crowd pictures at AK along the way and also to try to avoid some of the heat lol

I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!

I'm super excited about it, especially since the CM I talked to when I booked it a few months ago said it was the best tour at WDW and he'd been on it 5 times.

Good call on the low crowd pictures early. :)

Oh and I added $200 to my budget to book the Free Dining BBO so Disney World 2019, here we come!

We have a PPO breakfast at Garden Grill on the 5th! See you there! I had to add $200 to our budget for the Free Dining BBO!

Hello fellow Michigander! My grandma used to drive to Hamtramck every Fat Tuesday for Paczkis! :)

Yes! Paczkis are the best! There aren’t as many Polish. Averie’s as there used to be, but we still have a few good ones! We’ve lived here a little over a year, originally from Florida.

French Quarter-- this'll be my second ever solo trip, hopefully with less hurricane than last year (wasn't there for Irma, but had to delay my trip a few days).

We were there for Irma! We added 2 days cause of the storm. Maybe we’ll get to meet!

The hours are changed on a Saturday for us, 9/22, which is our one and only MK day, with the park closing being extended from 8pm to 11pm.

It's exciting to think that it's getting closer. I'll probably order the magic bands for our family next week sometime.

Awesome!! My daughter and I will be the two blondes trying not to fall asleep in the scrambled eggs lol...so stop and say hello!

What resort are you thinking for 2019?

33 days here!! I went to the store and bought some random things for our trip today. Camping dish sheets (to wash out our refillable mugs), clearance tanks and tshirts, cooling towels, and toiletry bags.
I couldn't find throwaway ponchos anywhere so I may have to order some on Amazon.

Zip a Dee Doo Dah - Post Office delivered the Magic Bands! Didn't see that coming (delivery to house; I knew they shipped).

Lol! It will be me and DH and our 3 littles. (DD7,DD4,DS2) We will be wearing family matching shirts lol!

This will be our last year at Pop since they can’t accommodate 5 once my son turns 3. We’ve narrowed it down to Beach Club, The Contemporary and Port Orleans Riverside (strictly from a price view.) I’m thinking we will do one of the first 2 but I can’t decide!!!! Definitely will be going again in September. What about you?

We are planning on going September 2-14 2019, and will either do a split stay at Port Orleans Riverside and Boardwalk, or just do Port Orleans the whole time :) Next year wasn’t originally in the cards but when I saw that the opening of Galaxy’s Edge got pushed back AND they are offering a Free Dining bounceback, I couldn’t resist...I know that once Galaxy’s Edge opens, it will be insanity for years. So I am hoping next September will be the calm before the storm lol

I was super surprised that they even offered a Free Dining bounceback! I agree. Once Galaxy’s Edge opens, it is going to be INSANE. We aren’t Star Wars fans at all (never even seen a movie), so it doesn’t really interest us. I’m hoping once it opens, Disney will still offer free dining but I feel like it’s unlikely. We have to take advantage while we can, right? Have you stayed at Port Orleans? I’ve heard it’s super nice and it looks so peaceful! I think Boardwalk may be the one we do on our anniversary trip in a couple years.
