I love credit cards so much!

@pillow - Is it from the old Marriott Premier or the upgraded Marriott Premier that you are expecting elite nights?

@miztressuz - please remind me again - didn't we keep this benefit if we stayed with the old Marriott card and didn't upgrade?

I had the old business version, which was renamed on August 26 to Premier Plus Business. We should still get the elite nights from August spend up until the 26th when the card converted to the new version. At least that was my understanding.

Yes, the old cards keep this benefit. Don't know for how long, but they didn't change anything to the old guys except for the label on the free night cert (i.e. instead of cat 1-5, it's a "up to 25k" night)

I'm guessing @pillow is talking about the Biz version which was converted to the new structure on 8/26 and lost that benefit. Our $85 AF card is still safe for now, our new Biz cards lost it.
ETA: indeed she was! :)
(so now it's a conundrum when you have an old and a new, do I want spend to go for an elite night or do I want the higher point earn rates?)

With how widespread these delays are, it does not appear related to Chase manually reviewing charges or anything. It is affecting branded and co-branded cards, churners AND non-churners. It should remedy itself soon, don't get yourself worried :) There's no reason to do so yet.

My CSP bonus is still not pending.... I’m not sure of the exact date I met the MSR but was in August for sure. Trying not to worry..... I am wondering if it has anything thing to do with all the new website changes....

And, my plumber just called to ask if he could put my work on hold. They are getting slammed by people requesting sump pump installations and repairs because of possible flooding. So, I'll keep my cash for another couple of days. I'm one of these people that as soon as a charge posts, I pay the bill.

He's going to come on Thursday, which is fine with me as my delivery is not until Friday.

Approved for the AS biz card! I only put the 7800 for the biz and that I didn't have other income I wanted considered. Curious to see the limit, hopefully 1k to make meeting spend easier. Yay for AS miles and I can cancel the personal card!

Employee meeting this morning mentioned a Christmas party at one of the local Marriott properties. Is it bad I thought hmmm, could book a room that night, would be one of the three nights I need to get Platinum status?

So, I guess you are not going to resign before Xmas? <g>

Sounds like a good plan! I like to be able to just go to my room when I attend events in hotels that involve having fun.

Good thinking! My old firm used to do holiday parties at a Marriott property - I'd use my free night cert every year :)

Damn it. Looks like csp pulled the 5,000 AU bonus right before I got my AU. No 5000 points posted for me and I assumed it was just a delay. But TPG posted that the offer was pulled. Grrrrrrr.

Bummer. I didn't get it either and must have just missed it as well.

ETA: I was mistaken, I did receive my points. Sorry for the confusion! This was from July.

But, was it in your offer details when you applied for the card? If so then you should have still got it. They pulled the language in the support links last month after the CSP links were refreshed, so if you used that it's possible it's really true and you did miss it. They have now pulled it from the CSP public link as well as the CF and CFU (both public and support :( ) Some people are still holding out hope that even though the language isn't there it's still going to show up. If you didn't have the language in the offer details, when did you order the AU card? My bonus showed up within a week I think. With the sign up bonus delays, maybe that's delayed too since it's connected? (maybe?) If not maybe you're the DP no one wants to believe.

Guess I have to update my link descriptions on DISchurners. :(

This article says I can transfer amex MRs to Delta 1:1...https://millionmilesecrets.com/guides/amex-transfer-partners/
Is that not right? I've never used MRs.

I think I have decided to go to staples and buy delta GCs today as the quickest solution since marriott is a hot mess right now. I don't want to risk it taking forever or my points disappearing into thin air.

Anything I need to know about delta and GCs? A limit to how many I can use? My staples has $100 cards.

So also just curious what you would use URs for? It is interesting how we are all different. Like I wouldn't use them for park tickets but others would. I can't even really explain why I wouldn't use them for that.

Sorry I did not understand what you meant by Amex to Delta. Yes MR points definitely transfer. @tink1970 knows the process in minute detail and I am sure can answer any questions. I am just getting into MR points now. I agree with the hot mess and Marriott/SPG. I am still trying to connect my accounts. I think they are...but then it still says link now. I don't know. I didn't have enough Marriott points to worry about so at this point I am just waiting.

The Delta gift cards are a bit of a pain to use...but if you are just buying tickets straight it should be okay. I just had difficulty using them for companion fares or taxes/fees. I know on the website it is one gift card option that comes up but it is possible you might be able to add more than that. I just have never tried. You could also try calling and seeing if they would do it that way. Or book tickets separately and then call and make sure Delta knows you picked seats together because you are travelling together.

I have used my UR's to transfer to Hyatt...that is how we stayed in Maui. I think that is a great value with the Hyatt point charts. I also for the most part am all about using the UR's to book the Disney rooms instead of paying cash. For our October trip I have 2 rooms at CBR with 5 of us for 6 nights on the QS dining plan and I am using 200k UR's and because didn't want to burn through all my points $800 in a gift card. For me that is a value since I figure the food and rooms are pretty much "free" at this point. As is the extra room since technically CBR fits 5 and we don't need 2 rooms but sadly my DH is a bed princess and insists on a queen bed of his own or only sharing a king bed. :) This is why I must never let him fly anything other than main/coach. I know for sure he would be another plane princess too!

I agree though it is interesting what people consider UR's for. For me since I am just flying Delta there are other ways to get there without using the UR's. I see the UR's more for transferring to partners or getting the rooms directly.

If this is the case then I should have still gotten it. I'm going to SM them, thanks!

ETA: My points are there...false alarm! Don't know how I missed that!

@kmc8826 --you beat me :)

1) You can transfer easily and seamlessly from MRs to Delta (<24 hours, IIRC). There is a tiny charge (they get you for some tax that other programs swallow) $0.0006/mile with a max of $99 (that's 165,001 and up tax free!).

2) I have never (and tried) been able to use more than one gift card/reservation online. If you call and book they might be able to work around that, but then there's a booking fee...so...

3) I've used URs for Marriott properties- when we took DD to look at colleges last summer we drained up all of DH's 100,000 in Montreal and Sarasota. Currently whenever we get any, I transfer to United since I'm still hoping to have enough to fly back from New Zealand (if needed).
