So, still obsessing over SW, any ideas how many RRs a flight to Hawaii might be? I would have to wait until 11/14 when I earned my Premier bonus to reapply if I go for CP which means holding off on any new apps for now I think. Let's be honest, I'll hit that MSR so fast I better wait until late Dec to apply, I don't trust myself to pace it. I know I want Hilton Aspire. I'm 4/24 right now, should be 3/24 in Jan.

SW Plus 8/7/16 (bonus earned 10/5)
SW Prem 9/4/16 (bonus earned 11/14) Canceled 10/22/17
CSR 1/8/17
CSP->Freedom 6/16/17
CIP 10/9/17
SPG Biz 1/10/18
PRG 7/11/18
IHG 7/13/18

As of right now DH will apply for SW Biz in late Dec and then SW Plus probably in Jan for CP. Trying to decide if we need 2 CPs plus all those points or if one will be enough for the 4 of us.

Got DH's Chase checking account all set up and transferred $25 in from Fidelity. Guess I need to send $1200 from our Ally account to each of them too so I can avoid the fees. Does anyone know the process for eventually canceling Chase bank accounts? Any DPs on it causing problems with Chase?
For personal you can SM. For business you have to call. I wait for a statement to close, then transfer out all the money and call Chase a day or so after the transfer clears my other bank to close the account. Never had any issues.

As for “causing problems with Chase” relax :) There have been no DPs of Chase banking affecting Chase cc. I view them as Church & State. This has obviously upset some of their Private Clients who got shutdown in their cc’s but that’s how we know Chase does not give a darn about banking relationships in their cc division.)

I'm not a Kroger shopper, but from my recollection you only get the fuel points on the financial gift cards when you have the coupon. Check the fine print on the coupon, some coupons are for 1 time use and others are for unlimited use, it would seem. @pillow - was that you on the GC thread that gets unlimited use ones?
I'm out of my element here... just jealous you all can get points :) Acme fixed the glitch that got me points before so we get $ off coupons sometimes now but no points to go with it.

I'm in catch up mode, so this has probably been answered already. Yes, you need to load the coupon. My coupons don't say unlimited use on them anymore (they used to), but I'm able to use them multiple times. You definitely don't get fuel points on the loadable cards. I buy the $100's. Even with the fee, its worth it for the fuel points.

I totally binged that series in one weekend! Can’t wait for season 2.
It was that good? I have been slowly watching Supernatural, but Dh and I can't get enough of Friends. We've literally watched the episodes through at least 2-3 times, but it's all we ever want to watch.

FYI for those watching for "support" bonuses ;)

My pastor's wife used my Freedom link and was approved on Aug 31. The points went pending from that today... If you're waiting on some old support link points maybe check and see if yours posted. If not, stay patient, it seems like they'll come eventually LOL!

Amazon. Jack Ryan. That is all.

I had planned only watching 1 to see if I liked it. 3 episodes later... I'll finish it by the end of Thursday :)

I was totally obsessed, too. I didn’t quite watch it in one weekend, but it didn’t take long! I was sad when I had finished it, lol.

Has anyone received Marriott elite night credits for August credit card spend (pre Aug 26)? I finally decided to reach out to Marriott customer service. Not helpful. Gonna keep trying.

Keep forgetting that Hilton Aspire. I need to look at that one too. So many options out there!

OK, you got me interested. Going to check it out now.

Friends is a fave in our house, both DH and me love it, and so does DD (she watched it with me when she was in HS). We use "friends lingo" all the time in our conversations, and just might happen to own all 10 seasons on DVD :rolleyes1

Jack Ryan — I mean, he’s kind of America’s James Bond right? (Ok, Ethan Hunt too.) But smarter. Jack Ryan is back with an ever more impressive resume. Not only is he a former Marine Corp lieutenant, but a former Wall Street banker, Economics Ph.D, CIA analyst, he even codes! I loved how his love interest pegged him as a Type C or D kind of guy. I love how every iteration of Jack Ryan on screen is adapted to be relevant to the international challenges of the time. I appreciated the longer form storytelling over 8 episodes, than the usual 2 hour movie, because it allows time for several complex plot lines to unfold, even though some kind of hit dead ends, and for the hero to match wits with an intelligent villain, and develop a romantic relationship on the side too.

Without getting too political, I thought the series did a fair job of exploring the causes of Islamic radicalization, particularly in Europe, and portraying the upheavals and the migrant crisis in the Middle East, and building a very complex villain in Suleiman.

I loved Supernatural until about season 5, when it was originally supposed to end. It’s on, what, season 15 now? Carry on my wayward son! But seriously, stick a fork in it already.

A family member is interested in the CSP. Anyone think that the sign-up bonus might increase in the near future? Doc's spreadsheet shows that there might have been a 70,000 bonus at the beginning of 2018 (if I'm reading it correctly). Chase seems to be in restricting rather than expending mode lately, so I suspect the bonus could go down before it goes up -- anyone come across any inside info?

We watch it on Netflix. If it ever comes off Netflix I'll probably have to buy the seasons. I find myself talking like Chandler a lot and we make Friends' jokes all the time lol. Today on Facebook I saw a picture of Ross with a Nike logo and it said "Just Pivot" :rotfl2:

i binged it in one night... lol

never understood the point of the drone pilot story...

Yeah. That one was weird. I guess they wanted to say something about the modern realities of warfare. But they lost me with the kinky couple in Vegas, and had my eyes rolling when he made that trip with a duffle full of cash.

I laughed inside when you said "he even codes". Dh would most likely hate the show then. He's actually a software engineer so codes for a living and he hates watching shows where they have someone "coding". He can't help himself and has to point out EVERY. SINGLE. THING they do wrong lol. I may have to watch the show by myself so I don't have to listen to him complain the whole time.

I think Supernatural is on Season 13? I'm only on season 3 on Netflix. I've already gotten a little bored of it and that's why I don't watch it much. I love Jensen Ackles, though. He's such a good guy.
