Hi everyone! I got an email today saying my fp+ for safaris from 6:30p-7:30p was changed to way earlier in the day because that time was no longer available. By the time I caught it the help desk was closed. Does anyone have any guesses as to what that is?
I looked at park hours and AK still closes at 8pm. My only other guess would be maybe safaris is closing earlier?

I saw a thread earlier where a few people had there Kali FPs moved (earlier times moved later) and I think someone else had their later Safari moved. No idea why but it makes me anxious!

Oh no! I panicked when I opened it because I thought it was going to be for FOP or SDMT but it’s still a little annoying because I finally solidified my AK plans

I’ll update when I call in case this happens to anyone else

I bought my MIL's ticket and made my fastpasses yesterday! I was able to get almost everything we wanted except for FoP, SDD and 7DMT. I'll keep trying though and hopefully something will pop up!
The site was so darn glitchy though. I kept getting the stupid Olaf error. I was so glad to be done with it!!
Anyhow, here's our plan as of now (feedback welcome!)

Thursday 11/22- Arrive at MCO at 10:30am, take DME (against DH's wishes ), hoping to get to POR by 12:30, and get to AK by 1-1:30. Eat lunch at Satuli Canteen, then FP for NRJ, Safari, and Everest. Head back to resort to get our carry on bags, check into room, change, and eat a quick dinner at the food court. Head to DHS for 8pm JBJB dessert party reservation and JBJB.

Friday 11/23- Rope drop MK for EMH. I'm hoping to get a late breakfast reservation for Crystal Palace so that we can do a couple of hours of rides, then take a break when crowds start to get nuts. After breakfast, DH wants to go to Disney Springs, or we may take the monorail around to see the Christmas trees at the resorts.
We have Fantasmic dinner at H&V at 4:30, but I'm going to keep searching to push it out as late as possible. We've got some FP's for DHS, then we'll watch Fantasmic.

Saturday 11/24- Rope drop Epcot, and spend the majority of the day roaming around World Showcase and the Festival of the Holidays. DH wants me to pick a QS place in WS for lunch.
I also have to decide on a place for dinner...at this point I have no idea. I was thinking of trying for Ohana, DH mentioned Chef Mickey's because he thinks his mom will like it, but neither of us have tried Boma and this may be a good night to try that.
I'm going to book the HEA dessert party, so we'll hop over to MK for late night fireworks and desserts.

Sunday 11/25- Sleep in a little, head to Disney Springs. Early lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express. Go back to resort to nap, and then head to MK for MVMCP!
I'm trying to get an LTT dinner reservation, so we'll see how that goes. If I can't, we'll eat dinner at CHH, which worked out great for us at the Halloween party.

Monday 11/26- Sleep in. Trying for late Tusker House breakfast reservation, then FP's for Lion King, Kali, and Everest. Hop to Epcot and dinner is the CP package at Biergarten at 5:30. CP at 8:15 with Carlton! Then we'll watch Illuminations.

Tuesday 11/27- Check out of resort
Head to DHS for FP's, where DH will do Star Tours (it makes me barfy), and I'll do Tower of Terror...by myself! (Or I'll hide out and tell them I did it when I didn't...it could go either way! )
After DHS we'll hop to MK for a last hurrah and last look at the castle, then take the boat to Fort Wilderness for the 4pm HDDR show. Then head back to the resort and get the DME to MCO for our 9:55pm flight.

Sigh...seems like a lot!

I have a theory I posted in this thread. Your post kind of confirms my theory. I looked at the times the actual rides are open at AK during the times people were having their FP's changed. It seems both Kali and Kilimanjaro hours are less than park hours. Kali is 9:30-7:30 but Kilimanjaro is 9:30-6:30 at the beginning of Nov and 9:30-6:15 at the end. Your current FP falls outside those hours. That is why it changed. When we booked our FP's we couldn't get Kilimanjaro after 5pm but now I know why. A 5pm FP would be the last one for a 6:15 closing.

I was wondering if safari was starting to close early again. Oh well, at least they were able to get me an earlier time so I still have fp.
I tried calling but it’s a 30 minute wait right now, so I’m guessing they’re having similar issues and still resolving the MDE problems.

I have a question regarding access to Epcot. We have breakfast reservations at garden grill at 9:00AM on 12/1. Epcot opens at 9:00 AM that morning. How early can we get into the park, or what time would you suggest arriving? We will be using the monorail for transportation.

I went to DL over April in 2017 (during Easter.) The parks were busy, but we loved it! So different from WDW!

There is a 4:50 pm FP+ for FOP on Monday November 12 that has been hanging around and available for a while now. Just wanted to let anyone who might want it know. Who knows how long it will be there!

If anyone has a morning one for that same day they would be willing to give up for the afternoon slot, that would also be dandy

Wow, can’t believe it is just sitting there. I went June 2017 and couldn’t get a FOP fastpass. We ended up rope dropping twice to ride it. The first time I was with a slow group that didn’t seem to care whether we went on it or not. We slowly meandered over and the wait was about 50 min. The second time we had a smaller group and booked it right over. We maybe waited 25 min and most of that was walking in.

This trip I wasn’t able to get any fp for FOP again, even going in 60 days out on the dot. I have no luck. We’ll just rope drop it again.

I was shocked too! It just went away but it was around for at least an hour. We were able to get them on our last trip and once for this coming trip but are still hoping for another. Don't give up hope! If Disney extends hours there will most likely be more FP to choose from.

I keep reading at least an hour before RD. On the day we are RDing AK we didn't get FOP FP but I did get it for another day. We plan on RDing the rest of AK with low waits. On the day we do have FOP FP we also plan on hitting FOP right at park close. I hear this is a much calmer way to do FOP.

We left POR with the first bus, 1 hour before park opening and we’re fine. Just make sure everyone in your group is on the same page that you are all going directly there quickly. We had one whose daughter stopped to get stickers, chat with cast members etc. we finally ended up leaving them and heading over by ourselves. The line was so long at that point we were no longer in Pandora! But, they hadn’t opened the que yet so once that happened it moved fairly quickly.

We are totally renting a stroller for this reason. My son is turning 7 on the trip and I know the long days are going to get to him and he is way too heavy to carry. The bonus is that we have a place for our crap.

I will say that the last time we went, for his 5th birthday, we would park the stroller for hours, so we weren't pushing it around all day. He used it more at night and toward the end of our trip.[/QUOTE

The last two trips we also would park our stroller long period of time and go back for it if we needed it. In 2016 we had a stroller and the kids ages then (4 & 5) did not want to ride in it so we have not decided if we will take one this year.

As I just went in again, I’ve found I also can’t make any fp reservations ( I have all of them set but one - was hoping a sdmt would open up) because I am not 30 days out. I’m staying at SD so this shouldn’t be happening. I’ll check later to see if it’s corrected itself.

Have you checked the website too, or is it just the MDE app? I know they had an app update yesterday, at least for the iPhone. I haven't updated it yet.

I just checked mine on both the computer and app and mine is all there. Only 28 days!
