66 days!! I have a question or two as I am trying to firm up some special extras for this trip.

The cabanas at the pool.. are they worth it and would you suggest booking now or waiting till we arrive? We have a scheduled pool day.

Also, the pull out sofa bed in the Studios. Would you recommend getting a mattress topper for it? Wanting to make it as comfortable as I can.

It's 24 days out for us.
I'm back to work this week after recovering from surgery, but I'm still not 100%.
I'm hoping to be relatively healed by the time we get to Disney.

My doctor has told me that I should avoid swimming, though, which is a bit of a disappointment.
I guess they don't want to expose the surgical area to pool chemicals/bacteria, despite the fact that it should be entirely healed by then.

I'm looking into other activities we could do instead of the waterpark day we had originally planned.
Maybe mini-golf or a carriage ride or wandering around Disney Springs...

I would reserve a cabana now as you may find it's not available during your trip otherwise. They are awesome and not as expensive as a true cabana, so totally justifiable. Enjoy

Are there any DVC studio rooms that are classified as Garden View that you can see the fireworks from? If so, which building/floor and room number?

No, they're either standard view our lake view. All lake view studios are in Moorea, 3rd floor for the best views. You can get some rooms in Tokelau that face the MK if you turn your head, but still classified as standard view.

We booked a patio on our 180 just to be safe because there’s only three of them. They have full and half day slots available and even full is very affordable. We went with a full day to relax before attending the Halloween party that night.

We are currently sitting in our rented cabana and it’s worth it! The service has been great (we ate lunch and have had drinks) and it’s a great base while we’ve waited for our room to be ready. I’ve got a kiddo currently napping on the couch.

We had a half-day cabana on check-out day. It was awesome to lengthen our time at the Poly.

What do you get with the poly cabanas? I’m only see stuff online for GF and CR. Is it really only $110 for half day? Does poly include sunscreen as well? Wonder if I can bring the pack n play down there for our toddler? Thanks!

I did check out the first page of the thread, but didn't find the answer.

Does the Poly still have small individual shampoo/conditioner in the rooms (not DVC)?
Or did they switch to the wall mounted version?

The Poly “Oasis Patios” are really a no-frills reserved / covered space....“Cabana” is too strong a word. They are not comparable to the cabana options at GF or CR, but they are a fraction of the cost. I can’t remember the 1/2 and full day cost off the top of my head, but it’s materially less than GF and CR.

They do not come with sunscreen or any other amenities.

Here are some pics.
