I love credit cards so much!

geting a 2nd csp....SM for another based on 'card isn't working at swipe' or what is best way for this?

Does Chase look at total credit limit extended (including or excluding AU cards?) or just Chase extended credit? I am dying to apply for CIP today. I SM'd to lower Chase limits last week but those statements won't close for another 10-12 days. I'm thinking about just going for it at this point, but if I have to force myself to be patient for 10 more days well.....I can try.

ETA to add inquiry about whether AU credit limits count

Has anyone churned the Barclay Arrival+?

It's been over 4 years since DH earned the bonus on the Arrival+ and I'm interested in getting it for him again, especially with the MC Plastiq promo. He's 5/24 right now, will be down to 4/24 once I remove him as an AU from my CSR. "He" (I jest, of course it was me) opened an Aviator card last year, closed it this year, and had the Arrival+ from 2014-2016. No other Barclay cards.

Any recent reports that anyone has heard of?

DH 9 aka Me) opened the Arrival + on 4/24/17. I cancelled it on 4/3/18. Then a new promo came out and I didn't look at my spreadsheet and applied for DH again on 7/16/18. Figured it would be denied - but he was approved!!

I've been slow to look at my amex offers and have the AT&T one but it's on my biz card. It says - pay your wireless bill or other service charges online directly with AT&T at att.com/smallbusiness or through the AT&T app.

I know a lot of people have done the offer whether they had cell and internet or cell and directv, which is what we have, but I didn't see if anyone had done it on a biz card. I'm guessing since ours isn't through the small business link, because I'm a sole prop and wouldn't have that even if I had a biz, that it won't work for me. There is some wording that makes it look like it won't matter if it's through small biz but I'd rather make sure. Since it's all under my mom's name and I'd have to involve her in it, I would hate to do it thinking it'll work and then it doesn't.

Anyone?

When I did for it for my ATT HomeBase Internet service, I just went directly through ATT.com to my account and paid a payment for $200. It worked for DH and me. Home Base Internet service does have a cell phone # associated with it. I know others were having issues getting the $200 credit to post.

But did you use a business or personal card? That's what I'm trying to figure out because I only have a biz card.

I see an Amex Offer for eBags - Spend $100 or more, get $20 back, expires 1/15/19.

DoC posted an article last week that it may be possible to use certain Amex Offers more than once: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/some-amex-offer-deals-can-be-done-on-multiple-cards/ Of course, there’s a risk that Amex may claw back the statement credit. However, I’ve seen no more DPs that Amex is clawing back credits from multiple use Amex Offers beyond the Staples offer.
Someone was told by a rep the next clawbacks would be in like Oct & Dec or something? I’ll breathe easier after Oct is done on that front.

Honestly though I won’t multi-hit any amex offers unless it’s a purchase I would make without the amex offer- obviously I’m not much of a gambler!

Chase looks at only the total credit (business and personal) that it (Chase) has extended to you as a primary cardholder (not including AUs), as a percentage relative to your total (household) income reported on your application.

The CIP requires at least a $5k credit line to open. If adding $5k to your total Chase credit lines will still make you <50% of credit line to reported income, you could probably apply today and be fine. If you're denied, you can try again in 30 days, and your credit reports will be updated by then with the lower credit lines. To be safe, wait for the statements to close in 10-12 days.

Sorry, I used DH and my SPG Biz. I think it was a different offer on the personal cards. Just make sure your payment is for at least $200.

Good to know! I went yesterday, alone, to enjoy a quiet lunch. I am still full this morning. After my $10 statement credit, I still spent around $19 OOP. I will do the gift card for the next couple months.

I bought the GC at the takeout counter, RIGHT NEXT TO THE CHEESECAKE! Do you know how hard it was to ask for a $10 GC when all that cheesecake is right in front of you? And figure that $10 is just enough for a slice right then and there!

ok..... again with another Amex offer question- I got an offer to upgrade my plain old Hh (no AF) card to an Aspire....150k/4k MSR. Trying to decide if this is a good deal or not. (I have a lull in MSR till DH goes for CP in a couple of months) I've been getting into Hh points lately bc of all the great offers everywhere, and building a stash(and hopefully using soon) Is this worthwhile- how easy is it to get the airline credits? what triggers those? I'm mainly a SWA gal-and value those above most others right now. also wondering about the $250 resort credit, what does this equal? basically a free night somewhere nice, does that credit work on a booked night? I'm thinking if it does, then this offer would= 5 nights somewhere? (I'm calculating based on Disney Springs Hilton calculations.....am I off here? Also since this is an upgrade, I could still consider a different card too (one of those more flexible travel points cards like Barclays maybe) at the same time? Would love some input on the value of this offer....
So I've been reading on the SWA airline credit...I've never tried using a gc to purchase airfare before.... anyone?

So I was approved for the SPG Business ($5k spend) and the Sapphire Preferred ($4k spend) over the past couple of weeks. Then Amex sent me the upgrade offer on my Hilton card so I took it ($3k spend). Today they sent me the upgrade offer on my Green card which would be another $2k spend. I haven't accepted the Green card upgrade yet. Are there any negatives to accepting another upgrade offer? (assuming I can meet another $2k in spending). Thanks

Once you've accepted an upgrade offer, and your card is converted to the upgraded card, you will have or have had the card to which you upgraded for the purposes of Amex's once per lifetime welcome bonus rule. That means, you won't be eligible for a signup bonus on the Hilton card if you ever decide to apply for it separately; and if you accept the upgrade offer for the Green card, you won't be eligible for a separate signup bonus on the Green card in the future. Usually, the signup bonuses are higher than the upgrade bonuses, so it's usually recommended to not upgrade and apply for the card separately. This is even more true now that Amex cards have the ability to self-refer, so you could pocket both a self-referral and the signup bonus.

Oh my. You are strong! I've eaten there enough to know how those display cases would make it really, really hard to get that GC and leave. I'm impressed!
