I got an email from AmEx this morning with an offer for 15% back on grocery purchases (up to $10 back). So, spend $67 and get $10 off your Amex bill. I'll be grabbing a variable load Disney GC or one of the $50 Happy GCs at Acme for the just4U points.

Just curious if anyone knows anything about the receipt coupons that they print out at Lowe's? We have one that is $10 off in-store $75 purchase, can be used at the end of this week. It states gift cards are excluded, so I assume they are, but just thought I would double check with you knowledgeable people to make sure that my assumption is correct!

Any strategies for CDN's to save on US$ gift cards? There are so many deals that are store/gas station/credit card specific in the states that we can't do because we either can't apply for the credit card, get stuff shipped to our CDN address, etc. I don't think we can get the Target Credit Cards still, ever since they came to Canada and left a year later. Can we get the Target debit card? That would save 5%. I would go across the border if I could save a bunch just to get the gift cards. Anyone found any tricks? thx

For the Target debit it has to be a US based checking account. And not sure if they'd take a CDN ID for security verification; they list predominately US options on the main application page without outright excluding it but it seems very US geared.

I had a Lowes coupon that did NOT exclude gift cards this past summer and they refused it. So, that would be a no.

EMAIL OFFER: Received an email from Disney Rewards. Call in to listen to a vacation club pitch and get $40 Disney gift card. Called and phone call lasted about 15 minutes total. they said I should e received my GC by email

My Uber app updated this morning (I do updates whenever they show up because I hate notifications) and suddenly $40 of my $60 in missing Uber credit from Visa local/Sam's club showed up! The other $20 was from a store in another town and I didn't even think to check for Uber local there, and I'm just super stoked to get 2/3 of my missing credit. We are probably going to skip ME to the airport on our next trip because our pickup time at POR is only 25 mins after our FOP fastpass start time, so I'm super happy for extra Uber credit!

Thanks for the post, I was expecting this deal as they have run it for the past 5 years in a row. They generally will also have the same offer the week after, but for $15 off groceries.

Also, if you didn't use up the Chase pay offer with your freedom card for 10 points per dollar which expired October 31, the rumor is that it still works at Shoprite, although who knows for how much longer.

Cannot believe we did not get this deal on our cards. We used HH a lot during our two week vacation in California. We stayed at five different hotels and four of those were Hiltons! We also stay at Hilton when we go skiing EVERY year! I guess we were put on the naughty list! Thanks Santa!

I've not tried since my few failed attempts the last couple of weeks nor since on another board a few other people mentioned also having issues and getting the print out about it being potential money laundering.

I wanted to try again at another store but thought I'd ask first...

For those using Shopkick, there is a gc sale tomorrow and Disney is listed as 5% off. I'm so close to being able to redeem for a $100 gc.
