I just received a $40 Disney gift card in my email. For that 10min phone call yesterday. I didn't get a targeted email, just called the number that was so kindly posted on this thread.

DH got instant approval for self-referred BBP from BGR. And then, why not, I had "him" refer me to it too, and another instant approval. Yippee! I think we're going to cancel his BGR after his AF posts next month so I wanted to get this all squared away sooner rather than later.

Now I'm done til after Thanksgiving!
Off to Costa Rica tomorrow. I was really happy to see that we've been upgraded to a Jr. Suite for our award stay there and breakfast is included nom nom nom - not sure how that happened since I'm still just a Gold, but I'll take it. I ended up going with the hotel shuttle instead of renting a car, and the charge posted to my (upgraded) SPG Lux and already the credit has been applied. I'll try to take photos to post to the other Dischurner thread when I'm back!

If you go through like you don’t have a current account with them and enter an email address that hasn’t been used with them before, they’ll send you a coupon for 20% (at that’s what I got). I then applied that and checked out with a different email address and received another coupon. Deciding whether I will use it or not since most of the items I was looking at were gone. I was trying since DH also has the $30 offer.

Noticed AA & UA updated waivers for the next week for those flying to/from/through major CA airports due to wildfires. Appears you can change flights for no change fee so if you’re looking to change routes (highly advisable to route around SFO if that’s in your plans!) check out the travel waiver. Idk if other airlines have similarly updated waivers.

I just called Chase. I got a bit of a run around (spoke to 3 different reps) since I didn’t have my full card number yet. One even told me I could just google to see the details of the offer - umm, no thanks. But I finally got confirmation my bonus offer is 50000 points after 2k spend in 3 months!

I did it yesterday around 4:00pm so it’s been over 24 hours with no gift card in sight. The guy I talked to said via email that it should be on it’s way so I’m not concerned.

Got a call from Chase fraud today, wanting to verify my address and that I did indeed apply for 2 cards in a month. She said she would then put the application in. Phone number still says 2 weeks. Chase you are killing me! LOL I have never had trouble with a Chase card before.

Well, I just looked and the only card we need at this point is Delta Gold Biz, but they have crappy bonuses, 30K for $1K spend. If I referred myself and DH that would get me 40K MRs and 60K Skypesos. But we would be missing out on better Delta offers in the future. Do you think that's worth it?

I just noticed that the Delta Gold personal is 50K Skypesos for $1k spend. That might not be a bad deal.

Personally, I would not do this since Amex is once per lifetime bonus. I picked up a couple of Amex delta cards and so did DH when they went up to 70k on the bonus. We still had challenges using 140k plus Sky Pesos each. But if the bonus meets your needs and your needs are time sensitive for Delta then thats a different story. I’m not into cash back cards but have been known to pick them up when they suit my needs.

I don't remember if anyone is from the Chicago area, but I'm making an impromptu trip to watch the tree lighting parade and wondering if anyone has advice. I could not find much online other than arrive early and if you want to see the fireworks be close to the Michigan street bridge. Thanks!

Interesting with the Chase offers that they are different for each of my cards, Hyatt has the fewest option and the only one with a % for Hyatt. But CFU has 10% at Starbucks and CSR has 5%. Interesting when combining the chase pay offer with the CFU though it has a max of $3 so not a lot of savings really.
