Beware of Poachers and Look at the Little Gorillas! 3 trips in 1. NEW TR started 8/31/19**

What a great time you guys are having at Epcot!

We love Cape May so I love seeing your pics from there! We were there clam strip night on our last trip and really liked it!

What great luck for a walk up reservation at Via Napoli! I could eat some of that pizza right now. We have snow falling and I don't know why, but pizza just sounds good with snow on the ground!
Hi and Welcome, Thanks for joining in!
I was really pleased with Cape May and I loved the clam strips!
I agree, a snowy day always has me craving comfort foods! It has been snowing here for the whole month of February so I have wanted pizza everyday, haha!

Lucky Andi to have her momma carry her things! I don't think I would be as nice as you are, lol!
Good point! I always carry her rain gear and whatever else she shoves in there, haha!

Parks back to back? Epcot night/Epcot day?? I do that a lot as there are different things available at different times of the day.
I guess I am smarter than I look, haha! It was fine. I usually don’t do that but it does make sense with the night activities.

Awww! I love that they have such a close and special relationship. That is just what Shirley and I had...it is a special bond!
Yes, I think they will always be super close.

There were other things I wanted to comment on, but now all I can think about is that cookie and your pizza LOL I guess I'm hungry!!

Sounds like it was a fun day at Epcot despite the bag line! Your pic on TT made me remember how freezing cold we were on our January trip to WDW in 2018!! Brrr. But at least it looked sunny!
That Pizza was so good that day! The cookie for being mass produced was very good!
It was cold on TT!

Yep snow tomorrow, then ice, but hopefully turning to rain before nightfall and getting out of here before we leave on Thursday. School and work are already cancelled for tomorrow. If they close school again on Thursday I may actually see if we can get out of here earlier as Casey and I aren't due to fly out until afternoon (Jason is flying in the am to register for the races)
Safe travels and I hope everything is on schedule today! We got another 6 inches of snow, just plain old yuck!!

So proud

BTW we are likely going in August too. Nothing planned yet, but likely sometime mid-month before our annual passes run out.
I knew you would be so proud, haha! Yay maybe we can say hi in August!

Yay! So excited for you!
Thank you, I am so excited to get out of this winter wonderland!

I always book the EBCI, just for peace of mind. I don't know that it's super necessary but we tend to travel at a busy time of year with lots of families who get to pre-board. I also like not have to remember to check in right at 24 hours, especially while I'm down there. Before it was an option I would do just that though, so it's really not a big deal. Honestly, at this late in the game you won't get a huge advantage over checking in at 24 hours anyway. I'll be in that same boat for May since I haven't booked yet. I might just skip EBCI for that trip.
I’m going to live on the edge, haha! I will make sure we get online right at 24 hours!

That looks so good! I love VN
Yummy Pizza, we may go there again since it works for the vegetarian!

YEAH to another trip!!!!

We fly southwest alot. Def Don't waste your money dong early bird. It doesn't garentee you Group A, if the whole plan buys Early Bird, everyone can get it. We don't bother even with the girls. You will be fine without it.
We need to see some sun and dry land, haha! Snow is crazy here!
Thanks for the info on Southwest! It is new in Minnesota

Hi  I just stumbled onto your trip report. I feel like I've read all the others. I enjoy watching Andi grow up from one trip to the next. I have a son that's also a freshman in College. It's hard to believe just how fast the first year is going.
It's nice that Andi is so close with your sister. Y'all are making such wonderful memories. I look forward to reading along.
Hi, Welcome and Thanks for joining in! I love looking back at Andi’s hair length, color, and her different glasses, lol!
The year is flying by! I hope your son is enjoying his freshman year. Andi really loves, more than I thought so that is good!

I agree with Lynn’s assessment on whether it’s worth it to you to pay for early boarding. For now, I have not been paying for early boarding because my youngest is 4 and we can do family boarding when traveling with kids 6 & u!
Thanks for the info, it helps to check on here because so many fly Southwest! It is newer here in Minnesota!

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is having a nice chill Saturday morning. I am up at the crack of dawn as usual and enjoying my quiet Dis/computer time. On with the show..............

Day 3, Part 2. The curse of the Poly Pearl and dining in a forest!

D and I decided to head out to the Poly and try to get in Trader Sam’s for a souvenir cup, drink, and fun escapades! Andi decided to pass and would meet us at WL for dinner. We took the bus to MK and hopped on the monorail to the Poly. I put our name in at Trader Sam’s since there was a wait. The CM estimated a wait of about 30-40 minutes. We wandered around the beautiful Poly lobby and checked out the gift shops. This is when, we started to see some Pro football players. I am very sorry but I don’t know any players, so couldn’t tell you all who they were!

We tried to get a seat at the Tambu lounge for a drink, the place was packed! I think the colder weather outside was evident with the full lobby and bars! It had been about 40 minutes and we had not received a text yet, bummer! We decided to go out and get a drink at the outside bar area by Captain Cooks. This area has all the same drinks as TS. We wanted a drink with a souvenir cup and the bar was out of almost every souvenir cup, really? I would think with the souvenir cups being a draw for many of the drinks, you would stay on top of this Disney!!

The bartender at the outside bar was rather rude and not very friendly. We decided on the Polynesian Pearl, without a souvenir cup! We get the 2 drinks and it was over $28.00! It was the same price as if you got the souvenir cup, what? Our drink was in a plastic solo cup and approximately 4 straw sips! Needless to say, we were very disappointed with this whole experience. The drink was just meh! Our TS experience was a bust, we decided to cut our losses and head to the WL. We decided to take the monorail back to MK. It was a chilly night again, not to bad but cold for Disney!

We got to the boat launch area and waited on a boat to WL. I was texting with Andi and she was having some transportation issues. She waited almost an hour for a bus at AKL to the MK, she was mad! She was almost to MK by the time we were on a boat heading to WL. Ahh the joys of Disney transportation!:crazy2:

We arrived at the beautiful WL and explored the lobby area. I went and bought a magic bar at Roaring Fork. I had heard so much about it on here and needed to try one for myself. My sister got a big sugar cookie, this came highly recommended by the customer in front of us. We tucked these away for tomorrow am to go with our coffee.

I went in the bathroom close to the Roaring Fork and as I walked in, a young girl, maybe 12? Started just screaming and freaking out! She scared the living you know what out of me! I asked her if she was okay and she said yes but it was so weird. She looked perfectly fine but was hysterical for some reason. This was just strange. Maybe, she has a phobia of sharing a bathroom with a stranger!:rotfl:

We had an ADR at 8:20pm for the new Storybook dining at Artist Point. Andi arrived and we got in pretty close to our actual time. We had never been to AP so I can’t compare. The restaurant is really cute, it looks like you are dining in a forest with twinkling lights above. This is a dinner with shared appetizers, choice of entree, and shared desserts. We had a nice waitress and she was pretty good. She did have quite a few tables and was lost in the forest a few times! There is this big leaf tree in the center of the table to hold the appetizers and desserts. It was a bit cumbersome and took up almost the whole table. I didn’t care for that! The characters here are Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and The Evil Queen. They are introduced and make their way around the restaurant and the Queen stays at the front and you go up to meet her.

We put our orders in and really enjoyed the atmosphere! The appetizers came out and we loved these. The little meat pies with the fruit preserve were my favorite. The butternut squash soup was very good and the shrimp was okay. I ordered the Veal Shank, D got the Snapper, and Andi got the Gnocchi dish.
We loved our entrees! All three were delicious. I recommend all of these. The fish was buttery with a nice lemon hint and the risotto was perfect, the veal was so tender and flavorful. The gnocchi was delicious but very filling. While we were enjoying our entrees, the characters were coming around and we had great meets with them, so fun!
Food pictures, starting with soup, meat pie, fish, veal, gnocchi, desserts.

Desserts were brought out to share at the end and we actually liked all of these. The poison apple was probably my least favorite but still good. At the very end we are served hearts from The huntsman with caramel corn. A perfect ending to the story, a little morbid but ties in with the experience, haha!

We met the Queen on our way out and she was amazing, beautiful, and scary all at the same time!

We give this dinner a 2 thumbs up for food, atmosphere, and character interaction, loved it!

We took a Lyft back to AKL around 10:30pm and headed to bed!

Character pictures in the next post! With a food cost wrap up for Day 3...........

That Trader Sam’s experience sounds horrible! They shouldn’t have charged you the same price as if you got to keep the cup!

Your dinner at Artist Point seems so fun! I’m glad it went over so well! Did they give Andi different appetizers since she’s a vegetarian now?

That's terrible! I have been to TS a few times and always have the nicest bartenders there. I think this was an off night. Maybe we can try again in May :-)

I went in the bathroom close to the Roaring Fork and as I walked in, a young girl, maybe 12? Started just screaming and freaking out! She scared the living you know what out of me! I asked her if she was okay and she said yes but it was so weird.

What the?? Where was her family??

Meeting characters, Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and the Evil Queen!

Super cute pics! But I would never eat there because all that food looks super gross to me :crazy2:

We wanted a drink with a souvenir cup and the bar was out of almost every souvenir cup, really?

That really stinks. Joe and I were thinking about possibly stopping in for a drink one night in May, specifically to get one of the cups everyone is talking about (with a drink in it of course)...

Ahh the joys of Disney transportation!:crazy2:

That's why we have a car in May...It will be nice to have the extra option...

We had an ADR at 8:20pm for the new Storybook dining at Artist Point.

I am soooooo excited for this dinner in May!!!! Joe is a HUGE Snow White fan, and when this dinner was announced, I knew it was a must for us.

I have heard this from so many people! How hard would it be to keep things in stock??

The bartender at the outside bar was rather rude and not very friendly. We decided on the Polynesian Pearl, without a souvenir cup! We get the 2 drinks and it was over $28.00! It was the same price as if you got the souvenir cup, what? Our drink was in a plastic solo cup and approximately 4 straw sips! Needless to say, we were very disappointed with this whole experience. So sorry you had such a negative experience! You are paying a lot of money for what basically looks like a cup of ice!

I bet these were delicious. :)

What a great meal! Love Andi's hair up like that, it really suits her!

We met the Queen on our way out and she was amazing, beautiful, and scary all at the same time!
Awesome pictures!
