Wow this is the crappiest weather ever. It was raining this morning now it’s snowing like crazy. We went bowling and are driving home. The roads are complete slush. We drove 25 on a 65 mph highway

You’ve had a really tough winter :tinker:your DH gets the job in Orlando....just arrived today and it’s over 80 here...It’s been cold on LI...but we’ve been lucky with hardly any snow

Well thanks to AT & T completely messing up our bill with our “free” DVR upgrade which wasn’t so free on the bill we have now pre-paid our bill for the next 3 months at least and I managed to get them to offer us $60 a month discount for the next 12 months. All it took was mentioning I could get a much better rate if I moved my service for Dish. The negative turned into a positive.

Got DH's new CIU yesterday. That was fast since he was approved on Monday. BUT it is one of those CIC recycled cards - due to demand we don't have your card design available, you'll receive it in 60 days. That is fine except now I can't tell him use the blue card instead of the gray card :hyper:. He is getting the hang of all of this. He put a mark on the new card with a sharpie. He was talking about getting a cover for the bed of his pick up truck and I said use the new card. OK he said gray card #2! I may be converting him to a less reluctant P2.

One of the things I love best about AMEX is that business cards load to apple pay. So I can add my cards and he can use at the grocery store. And when I don't want him to use anymore, I can just remove from his applepay. I really don't like that Chase business cards won't go on applepay. At least they didn't, I haven't tried in a while.

My DS is almost 17 and runs track and cross country and still eats like a bird. If he likes what he is eating, ie mostly cereal and pizza, he can eat a lot. What I cook for dinner, I tell him all the time he doesn’t eat enough to keep even an ant alive. He will come home from practice and have a snack, tall glass of chocolate milk and maybe crackers or something small like that. Then when dinner comes he says he is not hungry. He can eat a pretty big burger. There was some colossal burger at Cowfish that he ordered and ate almost the whole thing. But he didn’t even start eating burgers till the last few years. He hates chicken. He really could do without most meat. I keep saying well he is saving me lots of money. Though I do worry about his eating. Especially now that he is on Vyvanse we are supposed to watch his weight and make sure he is not losing.
My nephew (10) is also on meds that affect his appetit
Thats silly considering you can easily pull up crime maps and a quick drive thru will tell you it isn't where you want to live.
yes but someone telling you this area is undesirable because minorities live there is illegal. The areas in question were no higher in crime and had good schools, thus no reason they were undesirable except for racial makeup of residents.

Got my $50 credit on my new Delta Biz Gold. Flying to Charleston next week. I used the credit to move up to comfort+ seats on two of the flights. At 5ft3in, I really don't need any more leg room. But I was able to move up closer to the front, and it was an empty row, for free.

Question for Delta card holders. With the Gold card, do I get moved up in boarding position? I thought that was one of the perks of the card.

I think it will be and that would keep me under 5/24. They want to make it retroactive so I’m thinking in a 3 month period I will need to pay 6 months of federal taxes and payroll taxes.

Just let me know if you want the number(s) to call in for the 100k MR Biz Plat offer.

Omg I would be so mad if that happened to us and we bought a badly flipped house. Our house was built in the 70s and the previous owner put in new carpet and laminate flooring but it actually looks really nice. We did paint the bathrooms because one was purple and one was just horrible. Probably the worst wallpaper you could pick and it had this weird brick laminate flooring. Just terrible. We fixed it really quick and now it looks good to us
That's good, and paining isn't bad.

Actually the counter could be half blamed on the flippers... they didnt install it correctly so it didnt come off like it should have. But bc my cousin didnt know what they were doing... they just kept yanking on it instead of investigating why it wasn't coming up so they broke it. $1700. They expected $3k for cabinets and that's it. $2k to $3k of unexpected crap they found plus the new counter. While the new cabinets and counter look nice, they also look exactly the same because they are the same style cabinets, painted white, almost the same countertop color/pattern... but now there is a gap in the drywall between the countertop and tile backsplash from the old counter being put in wrong. Imagine if you just had a gap along the back of counter and could wipe all crumbs in, how handy to clean :crazy2: I dont know what they're going to do about that. If it was me I'd lose a bunch of crap down there! Also the soffet has a gap and doesnt line up with the cabinet. For all their work and money and heartache they got the equivalent of one cabinet and one drawer of space...

We did not vote for the legalization of it but once it passed, I at least took consolation that our educational system would benefit. Nope. The people were completely lied to but that shouldn't surprise any of us.
It really shouldn't. I was in college when it came up, so didnt vote, but I had friends visiting that spring and ask about it because they saw the ads around town. I had a big debate with one about if it would benefit education with the $$. I was sure even then the schools wouldnt see a penny :sad2: so sad terrible and frustrating

Yeah it’s been pretty bad. I’m absolutely over the snow. I’m hoping it melts this week. It’s supposed to be 48 and raining on Wednesday. I REALLY hope Dh gets the job. He’s been studying like crazy about the company and working on questions to ask.

I don’t think I could deal with a crack in my wall. I would be worried about how dirty it gets back there. I would have to do something to fix that lol.

So done here too. Our snow has started. We had rain that we weren’t supposed to have but it’s turned over. Can’t wait until that freezes. Where my daughter is this weekend it’s been snowing since before dawn. So so so done with it! Yet I see more snow in the forecast for late next week after the rain storm coming on Wednesday

I think we might be in the clear after this storm. Next week is looking pretty good temp wise and next weekend is showing 40s. That’s when Dh flies out so he needs some nicer weather

It's rained here all day since 8 am. It was supposed to be our first warm day of the season. I'm so grateful it wasn't snow today!

I signed up for the Marriott Bonvoy with 100K points. I am a Marriott rewards member (no cc) and since it doesn't count against my 5/24, I figured why not? Now I am sorry I didn't sign up for the AMEX Hilton card with 125K points. It seems like that is just as good. I looked up rooms and a lot of embassy suites (which we love) are only 25K points per night. Any opinions on both cards?

I know nothing about the Bonvoy, but that program has been pissing off a lot of their most loyal customers since the merger. I have a Hilton card and they have treated me pretty well. I've also found that there is usually at least one Hampton Inn in major areas that is only 10k per night. We have one just outside Chicago that we've stayed at a lot.
