Agreed. I had cnn on for a bit they were the one's that said france but I didn't underatand if they were being sent later or already on the way.
I also don't understand why it took so long to get this sorted. If you know you can't read them once you find them I would expect someone to be on the phone until they find someone that can. I understand a lot goes into all that but I would think there would be enough people to handle it all.
Does make you wonder if it's a cost issue or a need issue as to why it can't be read. I can understand ethiopia not being able to but it's surprising that germany doesn't have the software to do it. Makes you wonder who all can actually read them and why. Also is this type of box used on different types of aircraft or just the max and that's the reason. I had thought they were more standard unless it's not the voice recorder but the other that's the issue.
reports are saying the boxes are damaged, chances are, Germany doesnt think they can recover the files.
i wouldnt watch cnn, they really are dumb when it comes to aviation...
