None of this makes any sense whatsoever to me...Yinzers? Wooder? jawn?
And I thought Texans had the market cornered on talking funny.
The Philly area is generally made fun of for how we say "water" (and surrounding areas, I think it's more prevalent Southeastern PA/South Jersey but I'm sure heavier and lighter accents exist out side that) The "t" is basically replaced with more of a "d" sound and the "ah" is more an "oo" for most of us, but some really thick accents come out exactly as wood-er It's kinda up there with soft pretzels and cheese steaks as a Philly thing.
Each region has it's own take on the English language - I still make fun of hubby for saying "draw" instead of drawer, like some of the more north states in the east do (I don't know exactly where that comes from). Occasionally he'll add an R to the end of a word that doesn't exist, and I tell him to put that back where it belongs in the drawer
