You're probably right! I need to let it go and recognize that it will be great no matter where we stay. With it being such a laid back trip, I can definitely see us utilizing the boat to DS.

I know a few others have chimed in, but just wanted to say we stayed at POR last February and generally enjoyed it. The buses are fine except for that one moment at the end of the night when you're exhausted and you're stop #3 on the circuit and you've already stopped twice and why are there more people getting on this stupid bus don't they know it's time for sleep?

But otherwise, it's cool! The grounds are nice, the boat to DS is great, you can walk to POFQ and get beignets (note: not recommended from this Southerner, they taste correct, but they are too dense and don't correctly blow powdered sugar in your face when you take a bite).

That's funny, Houston is my least likely place! It was accurate for me with Providence. Most distinctive answer: What do you call the thing from which you might drink water in a school? A Bubbler!

A... bubbler? That's stranger than a drive-through liquor store!

Would anyone happen to know if a DVC purchase (direct from Disney) would count as travel with Chase or US Bank Altitude??? Wondering if it will trigger the travel credit for either one.

Not super sure about this one. We used an Amex for our direct purchase last year and it posted as DISNEY VACATION CLUB - DVC ESCROW PYMTS - Category: Travel - Lodging. So... maybe? I'm actually very curious about this now, for science. If you're opening one anyway... why not give it a shot?

I have never heard the term 'bubbler' for a water fountain lol!

I know, I got Providence for bubbler and Boston for rotary. I didn't think that was weird either! I also put "you guys", hahaha

It said I was from RI and Worcester -which is right on- raised in RI- went to Worcester for college, met husband, stayed there for 20 years and moved family back to RI.

Bubbler is where you get drinking water - a water fountain is one of those fancy things that sprays water into the air in a garden or pond.
A Rotary is also known as a traffic circle, or roundabout. There are TONS of them in RI and MA.

Also - We use "you guys" for anyone, and we wear shorts until it is in the 50's. If you are my teen aged son you wear shorts till it snows.

Today we opted for something extra and it was so worth it! The Al Maha can organize a private dinner among the dunes under the stars. The food was outstanding as always. The guide dropped us off and said he’d be back in about 90 minutes unless we rang for him earlier. He left a phone for us to reach him. We enjoyed every moment. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn’t quite capture the star filled sky.

i saw this on Kara and Nate's youtube.
if only @calypso726 and planeprincesses have a youtube channel... :|

Yeah, people here in CO don't know how to drive in them either. They took out a 4-way stop down here by us and put in a roundabout and now it's constant wrecks :faint:

We have a local shopping center with a bunch of roundabouts. The center portion is flush with the road and brick whereas the driving portion is asphalt. I was there the other week and saw a woman just drive up onto the brick and then make a left turn to where she wanted to go

.just cause Dr Pepper is the best!

Indeed!

That's scarf and gloves weather for us! But, I'm also the person that would have a heater under my desk, all summer, and I was pregnant!

It really is. I've had my a/c on for a month (for the dogs) but get cold in the 68 degree house so walk around in a hoodie and we have 2 blankets on the bed! I was freezing this am and it was 60 outside. DD sleeps in sweats under 2 blankets...and she wants to go to college in Boston???

Totally OT but I can't figure out how yinz / yinzers even came about as it just feels unnatural. I get y'all, natural, I even get youse, as that flows, but can't figure out yinz. Yunz maybe? Still feels a little odd.

I mean all youse guys eatin' wooder ice in the jawn before da Iggles game, don'tcha agree?

(Yes, wooder is not a myth, unfortunately I caught myself saying it exactly as written once...)

I found a reference that said it was a contraction of 'you uns'.

YES!! hahaha, and no jacket!

I just think of 'guys' as being very gender specific, and I was definitely brought up in a very traditional way with respect for the gender differences. So, it feels weird to me but I'm sure in your neck of the woods, it's completely normal and like you said, you would get laughed at if you used "y'all" or they might tar and feather you if you said "all y'all" lol!
I’d get referred to a speech therapist!!!

Seems like no matter where you live they just suck!!!

Growing up in TX, we made fun of anyone who used the word "pop"- had to say with exaggerated nasal tone - In TX, it's all coke. You go out to eat and the waitress asks what you want to drink. You say you want a coke and she asks, "what kind of coke would you like"? And you say, "a Dr. Pepper, please"...just cause Dr Pepper is the best!

u wouldnt have 2 20oz bottles laying around do u?

Ok all you Priority Pass Peeps and Lounge Lords/Ladies out there, I'm ready for you to burst my bubble! (or should it have been all y'all, or you/youse guys? but definitely not bursting my water fountain, thank you very much, that would be messy :p)

Due to Southwest's extremely generous March flight change policy, I was able to change my flight next week so we're not getting in after midnight AND I changed it so we have an hour and a half layover in ATL instead, which has a Priority Pass lounge and BONUS, it'll actually be open while we're there

Now, the lounge is in the International terminal/Concourse F. Southwest is in Concourse C. Is there any problem getting access to Concourse F to visit the lounge there???

Hi neighbor!! My DS12 has friends (twins) that forbid there mother to buy them a winter coat because it was a “waste of money”. Only broke out pants on those subzero days!!! I don’t get it!!!

Ugh, they want to put some elevated two level monstrosity back in in Lincoln... I think it was a T intersection below, and an elevated 'rotary' :P above. Sounds like a nightmare to me!

I am jealous of this drive they liquor thing!!!
I know, right?!
