Vacation time - I think if someone is mid 50’s and been working somewhere a long time 4 weeks is reasonable if not 6. This whole DTO thing is something I never hear of. I get ET (earned time) - all lumped together. It comes out to about 8 weeks but I also don’t have a traditional schedule and have to work weekends and holidays, plus the burnout is huge so I think it’s necessary. I do cap out once I have 1 years worth of hours and since I never call in sick I have to watch my balance and take a week here and there. Luckily my bff does the schedule. DH gets about 4 weeks and tons of sick days he never uses

So my DD texts me this morning that she received good news and got a scholarship to a 2 week summer thing in Australia. :scared1: She had mentioned wanting to do it earlier and I just ignored it but now that she got the scholarship I really think she is serious. So she wants to fly home from Africa, be home less than a week then fly to Australia. :scared1: Oy Btw @Judique she put up 2 posts this week if you didn't see. She was flattered to have a fan. She doesn't think her friends are even reading it.

Wow. I'm really proud for you and your DD! She's seeing the world and learning at the same time!

If you have any other Chase business cards, you can move some CL from them over to the CIP. You can’t move CL from a personal to a biz. I’m pretty sure if you request a CL increase, Chase will do a hard pull. Probably not what you want before applying for another card.

Ugh. I have been reading up on getting a second CIP since my "business" is actually a 'business' now. I sell Disney pins! I applied for my CIP last July. I haven't seen anything about getting CIP #2 within a certain timeframe and the bonus not paying out.

So I am off to read more about getting CIP #2 ASAP (used FN LN SSN on app #1) and self referring.

I used up my daily allotments of "Dude?!"s all on this post from r/churning -

Just around every turn in the narrative another just slipped out out. So many emoji's for so little words.

I called Chase biz recon earlier today since my CIP#2 was denied...

...I offered to use some of my existing business credit but the rep said that since I already have a CIP for that same business, that I don't need another one...

:headache:

Will try again in a few days.

Really regretting applying for CIP#2 + IHG on the same day on April 30. I applied for WoH in Jan and CIP#1 in Feb...
:scared1:

...I thought IHG offer would go away but getting it would put me at 5/24 until Sept (when I'd fall to 3/24) so I applied for both on the same day.
:faint:

The FOMO is hitting hard...while I sit patiently under 5/24.
:sad2:

um, patiently is not the word I'd use here. I don't think that word means what you think it means.

I got the same thing. Go under the "services" tab on the left and then "view all service requests" under Communications and you should see your message and theirs. It's kind a weird place to put it but that's where I found mine.
Thanks, I did look there before and nothing. But's is there now. They have forwarded for review for a match.
Issue, I don't current have an employee card, should I add one now, and will it hit his credit report if I do? And then make a purchase?

Huge congratulations to her DD! You must be very proud of her!

Attn Cruisers!! Anyone sailed with Princess? How did you like it? Looking at the Amex offers for the 22,500 points or 225 back i don't
think i can pass up.

Any experiencing stacking the offers? Have you ever booked with TA and transferred and it qualified? Thx!

**Unfortunately we are already going to Alaska next month so can't sail
with them there.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong (still a newbie) but it is my understanding that an employee card wont hit his credit report. @SouthFayetteFan mentioned that he ordered employee cards (“to show he was serious”) when he requested the match and I did the same.

DP on my Citi AA business card: statement arrived today and it's showing the points allotted as 63,774, so I received the match "Pearl" asked for (on my behalf) when I chatted online with her :)!

Once I am done with the MSR on my Bonvoy Brilliant (which will likely take the full 3 months) I plan on applying for the Barclay AA business card and possibly another Citi AA card. I like that the MSRs are low on these cards and easier to meet. The Brilliant, not so much :rolleyes1.

Choo choo!

Have not sailed Princess or used the Princess offer. But I would think it works the same as when the offer is for World's Leading Cruise Lines (Carnival, Princess, etc) or NCL. In those cases, you can use the offer when you book the cruise, either direct or through a TA (as long as the payment is to the cruise line). You can also use it when you make payments on the cruise. If you have the offer on multiple cards, you can do a whole lot of stacking. :)

General rule is if the primary biz card doesn't get reported to the credit bureaus, neither will the AU/employee cards for that biz card.

I booked today and did end up getting a balcony. DH likes to sit out there at night (while I am throwing my money away at the casino...). Did find one with both a pull out couch and pullman bed - so DS and DS each have their own sleeping space. We are used to being in one room - so that does not bother us at all. So, I booked the room added in an extra $100 to get a refundable rate and the tips. All together is was like $3260. I used 217,000 UR's on my Reserve so that is totally paid for. I love using my points - I just hate to see they go...

This sounds like a great deal. We're looking into booking a Cruise as well. So definitely saving my UR's. We wanted to do the Oasis but we also want to go to Cuba. Unfortunately Oasis doesn't do Cuba so we may have to look elsewhere. But would love to hear about your experience on the Oasis.

PSA for all of us just getting into this game....

Keep track of your dates, offers, and take screenshots. (I know @SouthFayetteFan recommends this often, too!)

I upgraded my Hhonors Aspire to the Ascend with a 150,000 Hilton Honors point bonus if I spent $4000 in 3 months. I did so. I've never had problems (that I know of) with the points posting correctly. I was waiting for the points to deposit and chatted with Amex....the rep said there is no such promotion on your account. o_O I escalated the concern further to their "special marketing department." They then reported back about 10 days later that there were no such promotions on my account. I started thinking I was a bit crazy...maybe the offer was only on my DH's Ascend account. Nope---found an email with the offer listed for my account. Whew! I'm on the phone now trying to get this resolved.

I wish I would have taken a screen shot of the offer in my Amex offers list. I've never had a problem though, so I didn't think I really needed to be that dilligent about it. I'm glad I have the email, and I hope that it's resolved quickly with this phone call---though I'm not holding my breath!

ETA: The rep just came back on the phone and said that there is no such 150,000 bonus offer; the most recent one was from last year. "So, I'm sorry mam, but there are no bonus poitns." I stated that I have proof, and I'm assuming that most people who uprgraded using this offer aren't aware that there is an issue if AMEX is stating that there is no promotion going on at this time.

I could even prove this now with the offer listed on my DH's card!
