That's odd to not have the referral option (from your DH's Hilton card?). You may have to click to "Looking for a Business Card".

I thought maybe it was just an issue with trying from my phone. Logged into AMEX from my desktop, and same......referral from Marriott Biz and regular Bonvoy.....but cant select the Hilton card for referral.

You can’t refer across partners. Hilton can refer to Hilton. Marriott to Marriott. The only way you can refer to ALL cards is from an Amex branded card (ie MR cards or BCE, etc.). Could that be the issue?

If not - still just a friendly reminder to everybody, lol.

what card are u trying to refer from and what card are you trying to refer too?
typically, Co Brand can only refer within its own co Brand, MR earning cards can refer to every card.

edit: jinx

Hi everyone, we're back from our WDW and Barcelona trip! We had a GREAT time at WDW, thanks largely to the advice on this and the other disboards. DH and I had been planning on going every 2-3 years, but now I'm thinking about going back next summer...

Thanks to this thread, we took Motherlode backpacks and packing cubes on our trip and they were amazing. I am now a packing cube convert and will never travel without them again. Every family member had different color cubes and they kept everything so organized. I also recommend the backpacks, which fit a ton of stuff and were especially useful for hands-free navigation through airports, good for pushing strollers and holding little hands.

We also visited PP lounges for the first time. We found the ones in Orlando and Barcelona to be nice, with a good selection of food and drinks and plenty of seating. We visited the JFK one as well but weren't impressed- it was very crowded and did not have much food available.

Next up in CC apps for me will be CIP #2 for both me and DH. We are doing some renovations this summer and have a lot of potential Visa and Mastercard spend coming up.

I have 4 pair---pale tan, medium gray, hot pink with pointed toes (love!), and blue & white patterned sneakers. Rothy's are so comfortable! I have super high arches yet am able to walk for miles in my Rothy's without any leg pain later. I can throw them into the wash whenever and the colors don't change. I hurt my left pinky toe last year by stubbing it on the table in a BRV living room and since then my foot doesn't like to bend when I wear heels. Rothy's are my go-to shoes when not wearing workout sneakers.

Next ones will be red

Do you know how Rothy's compare to Tieks? I love my Tieks, but they are not easy to clean. I accidentally stepped in a puddle of mud last week, and they're pretty much ruined. :(

Also, to add to the Rothy's discussion - if anyone else here is in education, Rothy's offers a 20% discount on certain styles for teachers. You have to verify that you're a teacher, but it's very quick. I have a pair of their loafers and also think they're very comfortable when you have to be on your feet all day.

Just to be clear, are you trying to apply using a support link from a Marriott card to a Hilton card? Because Amex co-brands can only “support” to cards within that co-brand family. You’d need an Amex-only branded card to generate a universal support link to any Amex and Amex co-branded card.

@disneybirds I haven't figured out yet how to make the photo appear larger in the Reply box. But there is an upload button next to the Post Reply button, if you can find a picture on your computer. I'd love to see your Havanese. I'm so happy seeing all these Havanese families on the Dis!

So sweet of you to ask! Here she is ...

Thanks for the hints on uploading!

I'm not familiar with Tieks, sorry. Rothy's and the inserts can be machine washed :worship: They must be air-dried (bc plastic lol) but dry very quickly.

Fastpass Day today... DD and I were up at 6. She on her computer and me on my Ipad. Got everything we wanted including FOP twice and Slinky Dog Dash. Now the countdown begins. Will need a vacation after June is over. DD Graduates on June 2nd. Her Birthday is the 5th and my Dad's and Niece is the 7th. Mine is the 20th and my brothers the 30th. Add in Fathers Day and 13 Graduation Party's (so far) we need to attend and also DD's Grad Party on the 22nd. Oh yeah - and throw in DD's orientation at college for 2 days. I need a vacation just thinking about it all.

I am a packing cube convert thanks to this thread as well. They make packing out of hotels so quick and easy. Everyone can pack up their own stuff and then I just puzzle in the cubes. I need to get more before Hawaii.

I also purchased a Motherlode Jr due to this thread (such influencers here) and I LOVE it. I took it Costa Rica and it was perfect. It's been on three trips so far. Frees up my hands for carrying other items. I'm trying to convince dh he needs the Motherlode but he's refusing so far. He says his carry-on suitcase has backpack straps if he needs it.

I wonder if homeschooling moms are included....

Just to add to this, when we have to (and it’s not often) we throw DW’s shoes into a wash bag from the dollar store (insoles separate), machine wash on delicate and cold settings, use just a bit of mild detergent, and air dry.

Wow those are great FPs for a prime time summer trip!

Regular Expedia site has a code for 20% off activities through 5/30, VACATION20

I can get KSC tickets for $41.50pp that way plus it's looking like 5%-8% on shopping portals. Will be awaiting FILs CSR travel credit to reset and then use that to buy them for everyone. I was going to use URs for ours, but since I need to use up ILs credits so I can cancel I am going to buy them and then 'transfer' the UR cost of ours to ILs UR pool (this is just all via spreadsheet accounting, ALL URs go to DHs CSR).

I need helping thinking this through. Dh's CSR travel credit will reset in July, statement should close around 7/4. The AF last year posted on 7/2. I plan to cancel this card or downgrade to FU most likely.

Originally I was planning to book rental car for Hawaii via Costco using this card, that should trigger the credit I think. But, since that trip is later in August I realized today that might not be a good idea. I would think having the card active would matter.

So, then I thought maybe I should the rental via UR portal, pay $300 of it with the card. I'd need to book via my UR portal though, that's where I pool points and I'm keeping my card alive. I haven't even priced rentals so I'm not sure what it will cost, but it will be a 6 seater so not a cheap one for sure.

I do also need to pay the resort fee for the Hilton in Hawaii. Part of that will go on my Hilton card to trigger that credit, but there are 2 rooms so there will be more to pay. I was planning to cover the rest of it with my CSR travel credit which I stupidly used for Uber and have no depleted some of my credit without realizing it. Ugh. (Uber and the Costa Rica trip was mostly great except for one rather large hiccup which is why I wasn't paying attention.)

With all of that, what would you do? I know I have a small amount of time to use this credit before I need to cancel the card and ugh, the timing with the Hawaii trip just didn't match up.

What would I do........

Book refundable SW flight super far out at just over $300. Collect your travel credit. Downgrade to CFU, get AF refund. Cancel SW flight months later, refund put back on CFU, keep your travel credit. Spend the $300ish on the CFU to get my “money back” (ie don’t call and request a refund check) :rolleyes1
