Magic Bands Upgrade

Got mine today. Two are the correct bands, one is just a plain green (I ordered the castle). No notification from Disney about stock, yet they just send something different.
exact same here. 3 correct, one plain yellow instead of the one we ordered and nothing to indicate they sent a different one and no notification.

Same for us 1 out of 2 was the premium band the other a solid. I did chat with disney tonight who sent it to their escalation team and said Id hear from the magic band team via email. They did take my confirmation number for the premium band order. I'll update when I do hear back. I also never received a shipping notification.
 
For those of you who ordered these - when is your trip? I ordered ours Tuesday- all upgraded bands (Minnie bows/Darth/Pirates and Toy Story) and got a confirmation email but nothing after that - when should they ship??? Or is there somewhere I can log in and check status???

My trip that I ordered the bands for started June 22, but it is a split stay so we leave for Disney June 13th. I placed the order Monday May 20th late afternoon (my alst day to customize under the old rules and what the site still said), got a confirmation right after that, and got a shipping confirmation May 23rd. I could track the shipment, but couldn't see what was in it. I could only see what the little circles beside out icons showed on MDE - 2 correct, one blank circle, and one green band. The correct ones and the blank circle came correct on June 26th, the green band did indeed come as a green band but it was supposed to be an upgraded Mickey one

Our trip is 6/21. We ordered Monday. It showed on MDE under magic bands that it shipped a couple days later. There was a tracking number to click on. I would check your MDE if you haven’t yet.
 


Not to be a downer, but we had that situation and the band came as a plain yellow one. I ordered Sorcerer Mickey for my son, and on MDE his showed a yellow band in the little circle by his name. When our bands arrived he got a plain yellow band and the rest of us got the ones we ordered. The sorcerer mickey band is available on shopdisney right now.

I hope you get the ones you ordered, though!

Yes, after today's replies in this thread, I'm feeling pretty pessimistic. At least Disney should be getting a greater and greater influx of problem calls on this matter so maybe they'll have a protocol in place.

Of course, they should have followed some kind of logical protocol in the first place. :confused3
 
Our trip is July 20th and we got a conformation email with the correct order. My credit card has not been charged and it just says in my MDE:
"Your MagicBand Order Is Being Fulfilled - Review Your Order - We will ship it shortly and provide tracking details". When I select Review Your Order link it then shows all 3 with my Special Order (Sorcer Mickey) a grey band, DH his wanted blue solid and DD her special order castle. There is no place or link to edit or - "hey, sorry we have sold out of your band, choose another option" . nada. Going through the thread, looks like I get the short end of the stick with a grey band. The least they could do is let me pick a new standard solid color. Still have some time so maybe they will make it right.
 
For those who received a confirmation email for upgraded bands but unexpectedly got solid colors, call the number on your packing slip. They were able to work things out. They allowed me to choose a magic band from shop disney (not a limited release or dooney & burke) and pay the $10 upgrade fee (essentially a band that is $24.99 on shopdisney). They also updated my notes and sent to billing to make sure I was only charged for the upgraded ones that came today and not for the grey one. Then they took cc info to pay for the replacement I ordered today and said it should ship in 5 days and will receive a confirmation email with tracking. Unfortunately you cannot customize/engrave, but essentially I am getting the band I originally ordered as I think most if not all of the upgraded bands are still on Shop Disney's website.

I’ll try that. I saw that the number was for shopDisney and assumed calling that wouldn’t get me anywhere.

It will! I think they are handling all of the upgraded bands. She said this is the call she has been fielding all day. From the sounds of it, this wasn't planned out well from the start. I am wondering with bands being shipped early for later trips causing a massive influx in shipping of quantities on hand, they shut it down until they can better improve the process.

I hear of a lot of people upset at those with later trips ordering bands, but I know when I went through the process:
1. I had no idea this would ship immediately (in fact confirmation email said they would arrive 10 days prior to my trip). Previously you could simply modify and click done and nothing would happen until your countdown ran out. In fact you had all of that time to go back in and change your mind if you wanted.
2. That there would be limit quantities on hand (It was never indicated this was a trial or a limited supply-heck things ran out in just a two? days of glitchy website performance)

The blame really falls on whoever implemented this process and not getting all the kinks out before roll out.

If that many people are Caling they will probably also be out of the band we wanted by the time I call! Oh well, I can always let him pick one when we’re there! $15 more, but possible. I probably wouldn’t do it for me or my DH, but for just one son it’s harder when the rest of us got ours!
 
I noticed the premium bands are available again but once I hit the proceed to checkout page I get the same error I did before. It won't even allow me to get to entering payment info.

This happened on Chrome, ingocnito and in firefox which I downloaded just to try.
 
MBs are restocked but I’m still getting this. 😡 You would think this would be corrected by now.

That's what I was getting yesterday whenever I had the solid blue band in my cart, and if I dismissed it, it'd let the order go through but the blue band wouldn't show up when I'd go back into my magicband screen.

I'm still getting the 7 dwarfs technical issue page when I try to edit my order. I'll call in a little bit to see if I get anywhere today...
 
I have a split stay coming up and had declined new bands. Was just notified that we have bands to pick up at the front desk this Friday and we have bands that mailed out for our stay next week. Both orders are grey. :headache:

What a waste. We will ask for those at the front desk to be recycled and I guess I will try to jazz up those grey ones that are being mailed.
