We took the boat back to POFQ and went straight to our room which was in building 5 I believe.
It's so lovely here, even at night.

We had a pool view corner room. Here is a little video of our room:

Ugh, POFQ at night/super early AM is one of my favorite things about Disney. It's why I have a very hard time staying anywhere else!

And some additional photopass pictures which I finally downloaded, LOL. The photopass site has improved tremendously but it's still a pain to download pictures especially since you have to unzip each file and I think I missed a few zip files.

Ugh, I totally agree with you here. I think it would be easier if you could select photos that you want without it jumping to the top of the page every time. I ended up just downloading everything in my account which included the photos from two previous trips and deleting the ones I had already downloaded previously. I would love to be able to delete all the older photos but once again you can only do that one at a time and it takes forever.

I bought a dress from ebay which is from a brand I normally wear (Leota NYC) and their dresses fold up small and don't wrinkle, and the style I got had sort of a vintage quality to it. I also liked that I can wear it to work as well. (Good reuse-ability value)! I then hit up amazon for the hairpiece and gloves for cheap. I bought Steve a set of bow-ties as well. They were all shipped 2-day Prime and got here in time right before our trip! Next time I'm in a park for a Dapper Day I'd like to put a little more thought in my outfit but for a week out I was happy with what I had.

It's a great outfit.....especially with the fascinator!

We decided to just get ready and dressed that morning so we were already dressed in our dapper day gear. We packed up and checked out of the Hyatt House Universal and took an Uber over to our new home for 3 nights, Port Orleans French Quarter! Our room wasn't ready so we just put our stuff with Bell Services and headed out to the boats to Disney Springs.

I really want to try out POFQ one day!

We started with the aforementioned much coveted Dole Whip Mimosa/Froscatos. Lesley and I got them and Steve got their regular red froscato. They were all really good!! I would definitely return just to have them again.

Yum!

I also made Steve stand next to the sign over at the International Gateway to show everyone where the Epic Group meet is going to be on Saturday May the 4th. I took a picture of it and sent it to the rest of the girls. They asked if Dapper Steve was going to be doing that that day...I said he sure could, but not as dapper!

Haha!

We rode Nemo and then visited the Manatees. I wish I could have recorded more Manatees and Me episodes but there were too many people, and I like a more intimidate experience on my show.

The manatees are the best. They are a must do for us every trip.

We got on a short line to take one of the more popular pictures in Epcot, with the Mickey and Minnie topiaries. It looks like I have wings on my head,, or some sort of elaborate met gala hairstyle, which is due to the heart shaped bush behind me

Or heart shaped ears!

So a month before our trip, Karilynn and I signed up for the VIPassolder night at Magic Kingdom which started at 10pm and went until 1am. It's a free event for passholders and it's basically an exclusive EMH type event. Usually the lines are pretty low and is a decent event to go to. We even got refunds on the MK After Hours that we had initially signed up for later in the week since signing up for the VIPassholder event. But, the events of Dapper Day soon got to us, and we definitely were feeling more tired than ever, especially since we had just been out until 1am the night before. So it was back to our respective rooms we went. I believe Karilynn was still at Saratoga Springs at that time (she would move a few times during the trip) and Steve and I were in POFQ, so I think we all took the bus to Disney Springs together. I actually have no recollection about the bus ride!

You can't do everything. Looks you had a fun filled day!

I so pay attention to nothing. I didn't even know this existed and would have loved to get it. I really should just be thrown off of these boards.

t's such a cute picture. I have to credit Steve with the picture since he has improved over the years, because usually he'd take a picture of me and I'd automatically gain 10 lbs. So maybe 80% of his pictures are usually deleted instantly, but this time I maybe kept 80% of the pictures he took, LOL.

Can Steve start taking my picture too? I could use about 50 pounds to come off. Figure that won't be a problem.

This was a delicious spring special they had, it was a fresh pasta with some grilled artichoke hearts, and some other stuff that I totally cannot remember but totally enjoyed. I believe sunchokes or cardoons or ramps or some sort of veggie that I don't normally have but really like. It was tossed in a light cream sauce topped with a Maine lobster tail. So yummy!

Wow, that looks and sounds divine!!!!!! Hard to pass up steak, but for fresh pasta, lobster, and sun chokes I may make an exception.

am not sure this goes with my dapper look but I think duck butts can be dapper too, no?

I've wanted to try Yachtsman for a while now, but it's usually out of the way for me. I need to find an opportunity to make this happen.

Karilynn doesn't drink and I mentioned that to David, so when he brought out our sorbet intermezzos, he left out the sparkling wine in her sorbet which is the sort of attention to detail he is known for!

Now THAT is excellent service!

We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, and for once I was not totally full that we ordered a dessert to share: This was the key lime semi-freddo and it was just lovely! I love a crunchy meringue topped dessert! (Pavlova and Baked Alaska are two of my favorite things!)

Mike and I ate at Yachtsman's years ago and I've always wanted to go back. I think this is a must-do for our next trip

Yeah, we've been to 2 of these events now and while they were really nice because crowds were low, they really are just like EMH so nothing super special that we are missing like rare characters or treats.
