Just as a guess, I'd have to say it's the way you held the phone when you took the original picture. The phone will self-right the photo for you, but the file probably loads in the orientation the picture was taken relative to the camera (does that make sense?)Hi
Pictures uploaded from my iPhone on Safari appear upside-down or sideways in the thread.

I may have to just do it that way. I don’t always like having the pictures directly in my posts thoughThis photo was copy/paste instead of “Attach File.”
Correct orientation compared to how it rotated in my above post.

When I needed to downsize a photo, I’d email it to myself in the reduced format and then copy/paste without a problem with orientation. So I am having this problem with portrait photos only. I have a Samsung Galaxy phone. So is the only way to fix this is not use attach file and just copy and paste the photo in? I have never put photos in using copy/paste but I will have to try it out.
Yeah that’s way too much work. I’m just gonna keep attaching them and letting them be sideways or upside down. I don’t like putting them in my post because it makes my posts too long. When I needed to downsize a photo, I’d email it to myself in the reduced format and then copy/paste without a problem with orientation.
For this photo, I had to Edit and flip it, save, Edit again back to Portrait orientation, then copy/paste. That’s 4 steps too many.View attachment 405763
I just do a drag & drop directly from my picture files (on my computer) into a reply window.I tried to copy and paste too but I copied my picture but it did not paste onto the board.
Thanks....Do you have to do this on your computer or is there a way to do it on your phone?Wellp, I was hoping there was a fix for this, but it doesn't look like it. For anyone on a Windows PC, here's a way to compensate for it. It's just not the quickest fix: I guess the problem has always been there; the new DIS site software just doesn't compensate for it the way the old software did. But I seriously love not having to re-size all my photos. It's doing this for pictures I took with my Samsung Galaxy Tab and with my Panasonic digital point-and-shoot. It's not just an IOS issue.

Sayhello
I'm sorry, but I don't know. Most of the pictures I'm having issues with were taken with my digital point-and-shoot, and I tend to do all my posting for my trip reports on my PC. Maybe someone who posts from their phone can answer.Thanks....Do you have to do this on your computer or is there a way to do it on your phone?
