APs and Resort guests can now upgrade their magicband

I'm from Australia, they won't ship internationally. You have to have it sent to your resort for pick up. We're not going until September so I can't order mine until about 2 weeks before our trip. I can't have a package sitting at the resort for 3 months.
I just hope the ones we want are still available when we need to order them in August.
I guess they will have had time to restock by then and know the demand so hopefully have ordered a lot more than usual.
Ok thanks for the info will have to remember to call and sort it out nearer the time. As you say hopefully better stock levels by then.
 
For my fellow DISers who ordered, received bands, and the charges fell off, keep an eye out. My charge is back today and pending. I ordered 5/20 and received on 5/24. My original charge pended for a few days then fell off like most people had reported. We’ll see if this one sticks.
 
I ordered mine on the first day they were available. I got an email a few days ago that they were hoping to get them to me soon. I ordered my brother's family's right before I ordered mine and he got his two days ago. I haven't seen a charge come through for mine. Our trip starts on July 6th. What will happen if we end up getting no magic bands?

I have a confirmed charge on my card now. Oddly, it's dated 5/30 and I know I checked my card on 5/31 and nothing was there.
 


I now have a charge that has been put through again for the MagicBands order on my credit card. So I guess they are going back and placing the charges again for those who have now received their bands.
 
Well, I had another (and hopefully last) wrinkle in this messy story. Last Wednesday the 29th I was able to get an order in for the Castle magic band upgrade in the short window where they restocked. I got a confirmation for the order, but on May 30th I got the email from Disney stating that they were OOS on the band and that I would bet getting a free grey one, but they gave me a code to get $15 off one band on shopdisney. Then today my MB came, and it is the Castle one that I had ordered. So I guess I could get 2 upgraded ones if I want.

In addition, as far as the original 4 that I had ordered back on the first day this was available and only got 3 of them, a charge did go through dated May 30th that is for 3 upgraded MBs. The replacement that I ordered over the phone for the 4th hasn't come yet, so i guess this isn't completely over yet. As of right now I've gotten 4 of 5 bands that were supposed to be upgraded, and have been charged for 4 of them.
 


So, according to USPS my July and November bands should be arriving by EOD today. My Disney Experience shows both upgraded options I chose under my mb's, and active. And, I have no charge on my cc (I hadn't really tracked to see if/when any pending or posted charges showed up prior, unfortunately). I'll post back when I see what comes in the mail.

So, I received the correct bands (snacks and Dory) last Tuesday. The charges finally showed up on my cc yesterday.
 
Update: received ours today, exactly as I ordered- Flynn Ryder and Goofy, and 3 coloredubutnocharge yet on card. On the screen at My Experience it shows the right colors/designs FB for 4/5 of them- doesn’t show Flynn- but I did receive it.
 
My experience: I ordered about 12:30pm on the Monday they became available, for our June 8th arrival. Couldn't get anything to go through until then. Received an emailed receipt. Did not pay attention to holds on my card. Kept hearing about everyone getting shipping notifications so I figured mine might get cancelled, but they showed up correctly on the website. Never, ever received a shipping email, however on my USPS Informed Delivery, a shipment from Disney Parks showed up on the Saturday after the roll out Monday.

I wasn't sure if it was that order or an MB order I had placed through the app (I ordered an Independence Day themed one that was on sale for $15 for our July trip because I wasn't sure if the premium bands with reservation would be back in time; btw I still haven't received that one). It was actually under the app, under Shop Merchandise, that I was able to see my MB order and it still said processing, but so did my Independence Day one...so I still had no idea which band(s) were coming.

Finally, I looked under My Magic Bands and Cards and saw the premium ones I had ordered on Monday so I assumed those were the ones shipped. Suppose to arrive this past Friday, even arrived in Atlanta by Wednesday, but then went to SC for a day before coming back to Atlanta, so I received them on Saturday...all correct. The actual charge went through my account on May 30th, the Thursday before they arrived.

BTW, I had declined them to wait for the option to roll out, then edited them that day. Recently I went to decline my July ones because my order date was upcoming and I don't want any plain color ones - I'll edit again if the premium bands come back - and the option wasn't available anymore that I saw. So I chatted with tech support and they did verify that that option is not available anymore on the website. They took care of it for me though.

I never would have thought to check there! I’m still in limbo territory, but sure enough the bands we ordered are showing up in the app, right where yours were. At least now I have a place to go to gaze longingly at them :rotfl:
 
My charge finally stuck this time. Cleared 6/3. I had ordered on 5/20 and received on 5/24.
 
So it's now been a few days since my customization window closed. Still no word from Disney other than the email I posted several pages back. Nothing has been charged.

Still getting 7 dwarfs page when I try to view my order.
 
My customization window closes after today. I got the same email about delays and I can't get into the magic bands section of the website. I get an error message with the seven dwarves. My brother got his magic bands that I ordered for him right before I did ours. This is frustrating!
 
I just replied to the ShopDisney email asking for an update. Here's the reply:

So wait you asked them when they were going to replenish and they told you to just go online, pick your magic band and then call them to order? So they're just doing that for anyone now?
 
So how did that work. You just chose what you wanted and called Shop Disney parks? Did they as for the reservation, etc? How did they know how many you needed?


You need either your original MB order number or your reservation number. I got the ones I originally requested. You do have to give them the payment info.
