What was your Favorite Barbie you had or wanted?

When I was a child, while I loved regular Barbies, my favorite was the Hispanic Barbie...

I collected Barbies for a few years in the 90s/early 2000s. I always liked the ones that were a little "different" from the regular blondes. I have one special edition that has gorgeous long red curls. I have all 10 of the Great Eras Barbies. I have the Star Trek Barbie and Ken, the Romeo and Juliet set 410982 , the King Arthur and Guinevere set 410983 , several Disney special editions (WDW 25th Anniversary, Disney Fun, WDW 2000, and Animal Kingdom), Moonlight Magic, Radiant Red, Charity Ball, July Birthstone...and I think this Princess of the Nile is my absolute favorite 410984.

Peaches and Cream Barbie - I just googled her to get the year and pic - was 1985.

My sister and I had this one, too. Well, the one on the left. She's really the only one I vividly remember. I always wanted a dress like hers.

We also had the first Holiday Barbie, that my mom let us take out of the box! Had I known then what I know now, I probably still would've taken her out of the box lol. My grandma had bought one for my aunt, but ended up giving it to one of my cousins instead. That cousin also played with hers, even cut her hair. My grandma was appalled. Even more so when many years later she wanted to by my aunt the only Holiday Barbie she didn't have, and spent several hundred dollars doing so. Crazy.

As a kid, the Peaches & Cream Barbie was my favorite. As a teen, when I got into collecting the pop culture ones, it was Mulder & Scull from the X-Files. And as an adult, I got my daughter a President Barbie set that just makes me smile.

I think I’m a bit younger than most of you. My favourite was this one:

My sister had Skipper with green overalls. They had some mascara stuff that you could put through her hair, but I don’t think we did that very often.
I also loved this one with her inflatable chair:

(She also added some much-needed diversity to my collection!)

The Scarlet O'Hara barbies--we owned them, but I wasn't allowed to play with them.

I still have all of them - in boxes, just like all my Madam Alexander GWTW dolls - thank god my mom stores them or I would have donated the lot years ago. I was pretty obsessed as a kid. I know it's problematic now. I got those instead of the Holiday Barbies, which I always thought were so beautiful, so I guess I didn't get everything as a child.

I loved the GWTW Barbies, the My Fair Lady Barbies and there was even a Barbie as Maria Von Trapp doll with her guitar, but I don’t recognize her costume as being in the film. I didn’t have them but I loved looking at them.

About 15 years ago I bought a standard Barbie doll and displayed her on a shelf in a bookcase. She was wearing her shirt but we removed her pants and kept her bottomless as a gag. There was a reason for it but I can't remember it. It was there for several years. I'm not sure what happened to it.

Yeah, I'm a sick pup.

My DD owns a lot of Holiday Barbies, not the first one unfortunately, but second and then about 10 years. Still in original boxes, unopened

Love seeing all of these. I was a big Doll Girl and have great memories of playing with them.
