Yeah - this is confusing now because of personal cards having the 1 SW rule but biz cards do not. So many rules to keep track of!! Haha
check back tonight. I think they usually go pending in the afternoon. His 20k for the referral went pending last Tuesday.Darn, just checked mine and support bonus isn't showing yet. He was approved last Monday, maybe still too close?
Time for a new preschool!I know. ha! One box will last years, but it is my first box for the account and I have to pay the preschool with a check.
For juries, it's so you can't look up anything to do with the case. It's important to make sure you have an impartial jury that isn't familiar with the case, and if you were to learn the defendant's name and go google him, you might come back with a news article that says something like "man kills entire family, fights police during arrest." We do not sequester our juries in the sense that they can't go home at night, so conceivably you could go home and google the defendant. But the judge admonishes the jury multiple times to not look up anything about the case or drive to the scene of the crime or talk to anyone connected to it.
ETA: also though, our juries are not waiting around very long. They report in at either 8 or 8:30, watch a video, and then go straight to the courtroom baring some sort of bizarre unforeseen circumstances. Our jury pool is almost always sitting in the courtroom being asked questions by 9:30 am. If you're excused for some reason, you leave immediately. Otherwise, everyone else in the pool leaves once the jurors are selected.
Hmmm. I am tempted. It is still there and so is what looks like All-Star Movies. The dates of the second half of our split-stay are 8/18-8/21 and the crowds are supposed to be pretty low. I think I'm going to try to hold out hope for more Disney resorts to come on line, but I might just jump on the Waldorf since it looks pretty sweet and is only $21 more per night than what we are paying at POFQNo this will be our first time for the one at WDW. I've heard good things though from others who have. That's not a bad price! PLE is coming up at $363.84 per night for our dates. I am happy to be using our free night certs there so we can try it out.
Yeah. I guess it's not really worth using up those personal slots if there are better biz offers out there to be had. I'm between the MDD and CIU through referral for P1.You could have P2 refer you to a CIU from her CIC for a 15k UR support bonus+50k UR SUB in a few months.
As for P2, maybe more Citi AA or Amex biz cards if you want to lay low with Chase before going for the SW CP? However, it seems the last card that Chase knows about is the CSR back in 10/18! I don’t know... the SUBs on Chase’s personal cards aren’t elevated or particularly exciting right now. Maybe some elevated offers will show up in the next few months?
My wife is also 1/24.
I’m eyeing the Chase Hyatt card later this year just because we could use the Hyatt points.
I’m also considering the Hilton Surpass with the new 130k Hilton points and FWN SUB via referral (but that’s because she already has the Hilton Biz). I don’t recall if the new 130k Hilton points and FWN SUB is available for the Hilton Biz via referral yet. If that’s interesting to you, you may want to check, or wait and see. These Hilton offers run through 8/28/19.
Well, thanks to some awesome spreadsheet headers I got from @SouthFayetteFan I am now super organized and know that I applied for them on 4/29/19 so 95 days from that is August 2nd. Does it matter that I just closed them today or should I wait longer? Maybe it is time for a MDD. I have never gotten a sapphire for P1. Is the information about that still on DisChurners? I'm less comfortable doing that than going the CIU through a referral route but maybe it's time I put on my big boy pants and give it a shot.Do you know the exact day you were approved for the Citi AA Biz cards? You’ll want to wait 95 days from that day to be safe and then you can reapply.
Have you considered a P1 MDD for a CSP/CSR (maybe in October)? Do you have a Sapphire bonus in the past 48 months that would hold you back from that? I also like @Lain’s idea of a CIU.
I didn't know this either. I thought since the Priority was a different personal card I had that option but it's good to know it is not.Ok sorry my mistake.....I thought since P2 received bonuses on the Plus and Premier cards back then and not the Priority they could open that card up....
I know. ha! One box will last years, but it is my first box for the account and I have to pay the preschool with a check.
We can also do almost anything in the Jury waiting room- just not any type of knitting as the needles & hooks aren’t allowed through security lol. People are even encouraged to bring “small electronic devices”. But last time I actually got called in to a courtroom for a case and there we weren’t allowed to do anything and were supposed to pay attention to the proceedings. I didn’t get called until the very end of the day, and even then I had a glaringly obvious personal issue with one of the charges and the judge dismissed me. Violent crime so I was glad I didn’t end up on that jury.I've been to jury selection three times now (we can get called every three years) and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to bring both my phone and my laptop. There was a ton of just waiting around to even get called for a case, then waiting around to see who was going to get picked. I actually am torn about whether I want to get picked or not -- it would be interesting but I don't know how I would handle a really long or traumatizing case. But I've never been picked -- I must not fit the demographic of either a good defense or prosecution juror.
Ok. I'm confused. I received my bonus and closed the accounts but did not lower my CL's. I got the same "We respect your decision" response. Should I be concerned about something? This is my first round of cancellations since getting on the train.“Attention all train passengers: please remember not to drop your CLs until after you receive your bonus. Thank you.”
what do you drop the CLs to?No!! All is well! There is no round of cancellations just dumb Citi CSRs. It’s recommended to drop CLs prior to closing cards because it’s suspected Citi takes into account all CLs, including closed cards, when determining the credit line for new cards.
$2k. It’s as low as they’re willing to go.what do you drop the CLs to?
Sending “you don’t want me” vibes your way. At least being at the beginning they’ve still got lots of chances to dismiss jurors!Number called for a criminal case. We had to fill out the hardship form first so more waiting. They expect the case to go to the jury by the end of aug 1 so it shouldn't interfere so I put the vacay down as other things wanted considered. #16 so it won't take long to get to the box at least. This is only the 3rd group called and that first of 25 that was a fill in didn't have to go and were put back in the pool. 2nd half of the 2nd group went right after lunch.
