Multiple reservations at Oga's?

Snagged one for 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 12. We have lunch ADR at Sci Fi, so figure we hop on over after lunch, grab our two drinks, and explore the land. If I don't get to ride MFSR, I'm not sweating it too much (though if RotR was open when we were there - which it isn't - I'd for sure try to ride).

I hit up the site the second I saw the announcement on twitter on Wed that ADRs were open. My spaceship floated for like 15-30 seconds then boom, every time that afternoon was available. Glad I got it when I did bc seems they booked up fast!

I just did a quick google search for the price, because I couldn't remember, and the first things that popped up were ebay ads for the flight glasses and holder. Guess how much they're selling for?!?! $180 - $200 on ebay! :sad2: :headache: I think the DL price was $75?

I feel vibes from the Orange Bird sippy cup fiasco from F&G!
I know, I saw that yesterday!!!! Yes DL was $75. My guess is $80 for WDW *if* they have an increase (the beer is all like $1.25 more a glass).

Yes I want to get the Rancor Tooth Beer Flight as a souvenir for my dad (but I get to enjoy the beer). I hope they have them when we get there!

Remember that post of mine yesterday where I said I wasn't getting beer? Let's forget that happened because I want that board! Hopefully, they have them when I go on October 1st for my 10:10 am beer flight and cocktail :drinking1:rotfl2:

My husband went through the app on his phone and managed to get reservations for both nights we're planning on visiting HS! We're going Sept 21-27. It looks like lots of people are having better luck today!

I set some alerts through Touring Plans and ended up getting a reservation for 10:45am on October 24th!

Yup, and when I release the ones we won't use, someone will get some pixie dust they didn't expect!

Zero guilt about it, so don't bother :)
Yup. It's going to get used. You're either going to please someone now or please someone later. IMO this is on Disney. 180 days is too far for ADR how am I expected to know what I want to do in 6 months at 1:00pm on this exact Tuesday. Should be 90 days and keeping FP+ 60 days.

I agree that the system Disney is using is messed up and that is on them. What's not on Disney is people choosing to hoard multiple reservations, like the poster you quoted. The system should stop someone from being able to book 6 different reservations for 4 people each (24 spots total at the most sought after place in WDW) at the same place (which is not even a restaurant, but using the existing ADR system ??) and some for multiple spots on the same day during the opening week of SWGE. There should be a flag that stops them or some other requirement, like a small fee.

My daughter and SIL are going the beginning of October also and I know my SIL will want one. I hope they have them! They were lucky to get an ADR for the two of them.

The thing I'm wondering is.... they look HUGE! How are people going to carry it around? I'm also looking at the build a droid and those are huge too! I feel like we're going to have to bring large empty backpacks to hold them.

if you're going to use your ADR or whatever reservations, keep them. I don't care how many days you are visiting or how many you have. If you're not going to use them, drop them. Let somebody else pick them up. No matter what, there are going to be those who can't get reservations when things are popular. You've also got locals who are planning to go every weekend, at least for awhile. You're not going to be able to weed those out in order to give some kind of chance to someone more "deserving."

as for Disney, they want butts in the seats and drinks in the hands. They don't care if the butts or hands have been there before. They don't want people sitting there all day and they don't want a massive queue outside. That's why they have reservations for a bar.

Yeah, I am not confident in the logistics myself, I am just happy I have TOT scheduled BEFORE Oga's. I was planning on going right from DHS to food and wine, but if it's that large I will drop it off in our room at BCV first. I hope your family gets one too!

I'm hoping it'll work like at a store, I can just have them send it to my resort...if not, my husband will have a weirdly shaped backpack for the day!

LOL mine is at 10:10am, too! I'll update this when I'm there if they still have them (if they're not officially sold out before then).

I don't mind having a drink (or two) at 9:50 am on vacation but the breakfast drink menu is only two drinks, one of which is a bloody mary and the other a coffee drink (a mimosa or champs drink would have been good to add). I'll still be there, also have a lunch ressie, but would have easily ordered off the lunch drink menu at 10 am.

That is a little disappointing but I will still be there, just because I can :) LOL
I managed to snag a 9:55 on my HS day. I am hoping to be in on time to get the coffee drink and the breakfast food. Despite all the talk of people cancelling, I have been unable to find an earlier time available that day for 1 person, would prefer 9:30 to feel safe on my food choices.

I have no idea how it's going to work in WDW, but in DL you check into the line at your reservation time and then wait anywhere from 10-30 minutes to actually get in. So you might be stuck with the afternoon menu or they might take this into account and offer the morning menu longer since they know people made their reservations for that time. Never hurts to ask.

They want the line queued up and ready to go so as soon as one group leaves, another is ready to head in. It's constantly at capacity, no breaks between slots where things clear out. If people don't take their whole 45 minutes, the line could advance quicker and you have a shorter wait. They are very efficient filling spots, but the general system they are using depends on having people waiting outside. Maybe they will come up with something else so WDW is not waiting as long, but just a heads up. Oga runs a tight ship. :)

How do they get people OUT after their 45 minutes is up? Does a server just track your time and ask you to go?

I read somewhere that the server asks you for your drink orders (limited to 2 drinks per person) at the beginning, but only brings one at a time, the receipts are time stamped and they don't want you moving to a different space in the bar, everything is closely monitored. That's at DL though, but I would think some things apply here as well. I would guess they politely ask you to leave when you hit 45 minutes. ??? I'm trying to figure out how we'll each drink 2 alcoholic drinks so quickly! LOL!

I haven't stayed long enough for the bouncer to show up. :)

I don't know. We've been twice (third time will be tomorrow morning). One time were at a standing table, got there, waitress came by. We ordered all of our drinks, she brought them and the check, came back in a few minutes to take our card, brought it back and we never saw her again. (This was the first week they were open and it was kind of chaos, didn't have the system down yet.) Second time, we were at the bar (way more fun, I thought). We got our spot, ordered some drinks, she brought them and the check, processed it. Then a few of us were able to order another round as they hadn't ordered both at first. She did keep checking on us, seemed way easier since she was working in front of us as opposed to a server running around to different tables. Either way, we didn't dawdle but I didn't time it either, didn't feel rushed. I think for the most part people understand this is a really high demand place, you'll most likely be standing so it's not like you're lounging around, you get 2 drinks and you drink them and enjoy the fun atmosphere and then you clear out so someone else can enjoy.

Like many things in life, just don't be a jerk and everyone can have a good time. Hahaha
