***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

Not sure if this is the right place to post, as at 184 pages this thread is a bit overwhelming. If I should post elsewhere please let me know.

So we will be staying at the Boardwalk first week in December for 5 days (so after the SWGE early entry period). Would like to see SWGE but we are not going to plan our trip around it. Does anyone have any idea if we can’t be there on the ONE EMH day (Thurs @ 8am I believe) if it’s even worth trying?! Of course I realize this is hard to answer without it being open yet but I just realized we are COMPLETELY in the dark on all of this and I am usually an uber Disney planner!

Just don’t see myself wading through the 184 pages to pull out the DHS December info (if there is any). Many thanks for any advice!

Your best bet at this point is to try to book a reservation for Oga’s, Savi’s or the Droid Depot. Although they haven’t officially confirmed it, it seems likely that guests with reservations will automatically be permitted to enter the land without waiting in a virtual queue (which is still unconfirmed). Especially since you have to pay $200 for a missed Savi’s reservation and $100 for the Depot.

Reservations have been going fast, but if you can’t find one, don’t lose hope. Because of the steep cancellation fees, it is likely people will be canceling in the day or two leading up to when you want to go. Just keep checking online for spots.

Finally, if you really want to splurge and see it all, book a VIP tour (out of my price range or so my wife tells me).

Thanks for the info. OK I’ll bite...Where would one find info on the VIP tour? Can’t imagine we will spend the money either but curious enough to learn more. Also which restaurant is likely to be most popular? I feel so out of the loop on all this it’s almost comical!

They are ridiculously expensive (IMO) but you can find info here https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/vip-tour-services/

With respect to the reservations, there is only one “restaurant” (really a bar) in GE taking reservations - Oga’s Cantina. It has alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with a few snacks. It seems like it is going to be one of the more in-demand things to do based on limited seating and the lack of a table service restaurant.

The other two reservations are for activities. Savi’s is where you build your own lightsaber and it costs $200. Similarly, the droid Depot is where you build a droid (similar to either BB-8 or R2D2) for $100. Savi’s has very few spots and seems harder to get. Hope this answers your questions.

We are in the same boat as we will be at WDW Dec 4-9. We are big SW fans and are planning for 2 days at SWGE. Was able to book Oga’s, Droid Depot, & Savi’s on Thurs. Last I looked, Savi’s was booked through the first 2 weeks of Dec. As JediStitch indicated, if you want to book these activities, keep trying. A lot of PP are posting success with booking these even after they were previously showing as unavailable. For Oga’s you can also use the ADR finder from TP or MD.

I don’t think we’ll know the final park hrs and EMH schedule until around Nov, after Disney has a handle on the crowds for SWGE. With RotR opening on 12/5, I myself am hoping for some early opening hrs or EEMHs for DHS/SWGE. Also, we don’t know how Disney will handle high crowd levels. There are some reports that WDW was going to be testing a virtual queue system this weekend (I haven’t seen confirmation yet that this testing did occur). So other than probably getting there before RD on each of our DHS days, our touring plans will be in some limbo until we know more from Disney.

Super helpful and saved me hours of research I’m sure. I might actually call to find out more about the VIP tour. We may have a party of 8 so the hourly rate becomes a little more tolerable if everyone chips in, and we can keep it to a few hours. We’ll see :)

Thanks again!

Same exact dates for us!

So for anyone following this.... No go for us for a VIP tour as they have a 7-hour minimum. Even with 8 people splitting it that’s crazy IMHO. :)
